We had such an enjoyable time at this wonderful housesit in Nuevo Vallarta. Alessandra, Manuel and the girls were so generous in allowing us to live in their comfortable, peaceful condo a block from the ocean. The 2 dogs, Patricio and Mini, are well mannered and loving; Julien the cat is funny and sweet! We would highly recommend this housesit for other sitters .....and we hope to return in the future.
We had a great stay at Leslie and John's place watching Huck. Leslie and John welcomed us into their home the night before they had to leave and treated us to dinner. We got a chance to meet Huck and learn his schedule before they left. Huck is such a sweetheart. He is 12 years old and has had some mobility issues lately, so we had to be careful with that. Other than that, he feels good and just wants to hang out with us. We really enjoyed our time with him, walking around the neighborhood, and just relaxing. We will miss him. Leslie and John were very generous with sharing their home and supplies for a very comfortable stay. We can highly recommend sitting for them.
This is an enjoyable sit with two wonderful dogs (with very different personalities, though both very sweet). We loved getting to know the two and discovered that one on one time with each, was the best way to go here. Shadow would come out of the shadows (and the study/den) when given love, appreciation, a bit of time/patience and understanding. He really did not like to be alone and thrived on being out of his room and with us often, loved positive company and pets and affection. And of course his daily walks. : ) He even gave sweet gentle kisses of appreciation, so subtle and soft you might miss it; don't be fooled by his shyness at the beginning; he really loves and thrives on company and gentle loving affection. Aspen is a bundle of joy, love and affection and loves her belly rubs; is actually very sensitive and super sweet. She never tires of hunting lizards and exploring in the back yard and truly enjoys her walks too. The owners were very warm, welcoming and great communicators; communication was clear and easy throughout. The house is spacious and very well located, in a beautiful, quiet and safe neighborhood (great for walking the dogs) yet an easy 6 minutes drive to Trader Joes, Sprouts, Whole Foods and several other supermarkets, the Tucson Mall etc...and most places in town. The bed in the guest room was comfortable, the bathroom was ample, the wifi is good and overall the home is easy to upkeep and clean. All the living is on one level. We would certainly recommend this sit to anyone who loves animals, and who is interested in a Tucson sit. All the best, Katy & Victor
It was a pleasure to sit for Lucy and Ravern in their lovely cottage for their gorgeous dog Max and beautiful cat, Lola. Lucy was in contact regularly in the lead up and I was able to go to the house before the sit so Lucy could meet me and show me the ropes. As it was my first sit through Trusted House Sitters, I didn’t have any reviews, so I’m grateful to Lucy and Ravern for their trust. Looking after the animals was a delight - both of them such loving characters who loved to have lots of cuddles. Max was well behaved when out for walks and was just a lovely companion. There is beautiful countryside literally on the doorstep, which made the walks very pleasurable. My son came to meet me for lunch at the pub opposite too, which served good food! I slept really well as the bed was very comfy. And it was lovely and dark outside with very little street lighting disturbing the night. All in all, a lovely weekend sit and a great introduction to the world of Trusted House Sitters. Thank you Lucy and Ravern!
This was the best sit to have closed out my year and a wonderful new homeowner to cross my path as well. Amy was the first homeowner who pulled out all the stops to make sure i knew everything i needed to know to navigate and care for her home and pet. She also went out of her way to welcome me to her town and personally escorted me about town and treated me to lunch. When i arrived at her home she left welcoming jesters that made me feel so warm and welcomed. Her home is gorgeous and a museum of culture and the man of the house Steve the cat stole my heart after he got used to me which didn't take long. I'd sit again in a heartbeat.
Unfortunately this sit didn't go ahead due to her catching COVID. However she is absolutely lovely. We had a phone call and really got on, she sent me more photos of her fur baby and her beautiful cabin! Honestly whoever gets to stay here is very lucky 🥰
