Thank you Maree and Brian for having me house sit and look after your lovely boy Thomas. Thomas was no trouble to look after, like many cats, he wants his food, clean litter tray, and some attention! Thomas lets you know when he wants attention by tapping you on the leg with his paw :) Maree and Brian have compiled a very comprehensive folder of information and attractions in the area, which is very useful. Very lovely to be in a quiet, small township, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing time, and not too far to other places if you are looking for shopping or a little more to do. The neighbours two dogs who come to the fence to say hello, are also very adorable :) Lovely house sit, thank you!
Julie's warmth and availability made my stay feel like home, and the beauty of the home and neighborhood only added to the experience. However, the true highlight was Billie Ray - the sweetest, most well-trained fur baby I've ever had the pleasure of spending time with. Our bond was undeniable, making my stay truly unforgettable. Despite the initial shyness of the kittens, they warmed up to me by the end of my four-day sit. Overall, it was an incredible experience that I'll cherish forever.
Mojo is the most confident cat. He will literally walk on you and over you, and he is the boss of the house. When he´s hungry - which is often - (he likes to eat a lot and often, also in the middle of the night) he will slam the closet doors with his paws. But be aware - he might also slam the doors for other reasons, for instance if you forget to walk past him in the hallway, into the living room, after your visit to the toilet. You see, he loves to sit still in front of the night light in the hallway, and wait for you to walk past it, so that he can watch the light turn on and off. So make sure you make the right turn after leaving the toilet, or Mojo might have to slam the doors again :) Sushi is the sweetest and gentlest soul. And as all pets that live together, they take after each others ways and habits when interacting with humans. One day Sushi had to slam the closet doors as well :) Sushi does not want you to pick her up, but she will come for cuddles, especially if Mojo leaves the house for a few days to go on his excursions, which he does from time to time. Then she lights up and are right there next to you. Her cravings for cuddles turned out to be just as big as Mojo´s, and she is truly the sweetest cat. Mojo is a big charmer, and he likes to be number one. He gets angry with Sushi and chase her around the apartment, if he feels she gets in his food, or in his way too much. I found that the trick to make Mojo free of jealousy, is to pet them at the same time and get them to play together with the cat toys, so that Mojo can understands that Sushi is just as important and just as much loved as he is. After the first double petting, he walked over and licked Sushi´s head, which made her roll her eyes in surprise. Zoe´s place is a quiet apartments that has a very nice vibe to it - the kind of place that you know will give you a great time the moment you walk in. Sandvika - with food stores, a big mall, and a small city center - is just a short walk away. And Oslo - the capital - is just a short bus ride away. Zoe herself, is an easy going Australian that are very easy to like and very nice to communicate with. Looking after Mojo and Sushi was wonderful, so it was hard to leave them behind after 3 fun weeks. All around is this a great house sit that I can only recommend dearly.
I had a great sit and really enjoyed my time with Sumi! She is a really sweet cat. The location was easily accessible and close to lots of good walking paths/public transit/shops.
We had a really good time taking care of Ferro and Chewing-gum. They are really sweet and once they warmed up to us they hardly left our side and loved to cuddle. The house is really beautiful with lots of plants and an awesome view. Roberto is a very nice and helpful person. He gave us some good advices about what to do in the area. Communication with Roberto was super easy. We had a great time and would do it anytime again.
