We loved Bean and Louie! Judith and Shawn’s delightful home and pups were a fantastic sit in the heart of Portland. Both dogs are low maintenance and tons of fun to be around! The neighborhood is hard to beat for dog walking…definitely a top contender amongst our travels. Every type of grocery store option is just a short drive away and there are plenty of bars, and restaurants within walking distance. Such a great cool, spacious, and comfortable home. We loved admiring all of the century old homes in their historic neighborhood and would jump at any opportunity to come back. We highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at Julie’s. We met Julie when we arrived, and she showed us all around their well-equipped home. It was a very comfortable and spacious stay! Jet and Selina are great kitties, easygoing and independent, but loved getting pets (especially Selina!) Communication with Julie was easy and straightforward, and she left a very detailed packet of information with everything we needed in the house, for the pets, as well as nearby activities and sights. We would love to stay with Jet and Selina again!
Lora feels like a friend I have known for years. We instantly clicked. She is very gracious and kind. She offered clear instructions that were simple. Her home is very comfortable and in a quiet and safe community. Lora offered for me to stay the few days between sits. She even got to extend her time with her family. Clarence is adorable. He also gives clear instructions. He knows exactly what he wants and will let you know. It was nice having him with me as I drove to Mt. Lemmon. He loves car rides! I know I'll be back to this one!
What a wonderful opportunity to spend time with Heimo and the crew in a gorgeous, clean house on and acreage south of Charlottesville! Bruce and Tamara are gracious and generous, and they communicate excellently and clearly. They fed us upon our arrival and carefully showed us and explained everything we needed to know to care for their home and pets. Heimo (the border collie) is a sweet, easy dog who loves to please and will quickly make a place in your heart. Caring for the chickens and fish is simple and takes very little time each day. The two bunnies (who are not always present at this siting opportunity) are content and adorable. Their feeding and care takes a bit more time, but is very manageable. The yard is filled with well-designed flower beds and landscaping. The swimming pool is clean and refreshing. We enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen and relaxing in the tastefully-decorated house. Sitters would definitely need a vehicle to get to and from this home, as it is several miles to the nearest store. Internet access was good, while cell phone coverage is spotty in this area. If you enjoy playing shuffleboard, horseshoes, or bocce, you are all set here! We also spent a decent amount of time walking in Walnut Creek Park, just a couple of miles down the road, which has a disc golf course, lake swimming, bike trails, and plenty of forest hiking. We recommend this housesit extremely highly!
LOOOVED this sit! Pizza is the sweetest girl. She is very mellow and keeps to herself. She's an older gal so she sleeps a lot. She likes being around you but doesn't seem to like to be handled. I was the one who probably needed the TLC from her..LOL. Although she is currently taking medication twice a day and 2 shots of insulin, they are very easy to administer. She gives you no resistance whatsoever. She is a very gentle cat. Nick and Anna are great parents and are taking great care of her. They both greeted me, explained the medication regimen and gave me a walkthrough of the apartment. They are very easy to communicate with and always responded whenever I had questions. The apartment is huge, spread over two floors, and is very clean. Lots of space if you need to spread out. Everything you need in the kitchen to cook, good pots and pans and they also had amazing spices. If you are working, this place couldn't be more comfortable. They have a dedicated office upstairs and another workstation downstairs. There is also a great deck area. The location is top notch and in a wonderful neighborhood, walkable with tons of restaurants, bars and cafes. I strongly recommend this sit to anyone. Pizza definitely stole my heart. She is so gentle that you just want to do the best for her. I would be very happy to take care of her anytime. They are a nice family and I would love to come back again!
