unfortunately i did not meet Jeanette and Jonathan before i arrived at their home but Skye greeted me warmly. Skye is a charmer, and eager to please. She likes to be cuddled and have her tummy rubbed. We went to the local dog friendly cafe and she was really good. Her one “fault” is her lack of manners when walking on the leash. She is strong and this makes walking her somewhat difficult. To help with this, i threw her her ball for a long while to wear off some energy. There are some lovely and interesting walks close by. The bus system is great as there is a university campus close by. I enjoyed my time with Skye and find myself smiling when thinking of her.
Yvonne is so nice and easy to communicate with. Her kitties are easy to care for. Only one came to us for pets and playtime. Her condo is in a great area for exploring downtown Benecia and for a walk along the bay and the marina. Her bakery recommendation was fantastic! Highly recommended house sit!
Sitting for Lucy was a fantastic experience. I really really enjoyed caring for the animals and staying in such a beautiful home. The location of this sit is fantastic - so close to Oxford, and also to many beautiful historic sites. Lucy & family were so welcoming and extremely generous. I felt completely at home & supported during my stay. Lucy has a great support network in place, including close friends & family on hand to advise about any animal problems. The sit ran smoothly with no issues, and all the animals were a delight. Unfortunately we had a great deal of rain, so time with the two sheep and chickens was dashing around avoiding a soaking. But they are all very gentle and really easy to care for. Toto is a gorgeous girl who made such a beautiful companion whilst I worked remotely. She is extremely well behaved and responsive to you, she absolutely loves her walks, and then to relax in the cosy kitchen. The two cats were quite illusive, but loved some gentle fuss when I saw them at breakfast. My accommodation was extremely comfortable, and I had such a lovely en-suite bathroom, fast internet, and a wide selection of TV / film options. I felt very lucky to be staying in such a beautiful home. I would recommend this sit very highly, and will miss the whole animal gang. I would really love to return in the future. Fantastic stay!
This was my first Trusted Housesitters stay, and Kat and Chantal were so welcoming, communicative and kind! I can’t say enough good things, even gave me socks when I first arrived because I’m a naive Southern Californian hahaha. They gave me detailed information in person and through the Welcome Guide to ensure I had everything I needed. Their apartment was really comfy and nice to stay at, at a beautiful and central location on the Stanford campus. I felt very safe the entire time as it was on campus and in a safe area in Palo Alto. Also in walking distance of good restaurants and a Middle Eastern market! I was able to ride around on the bike and electric scooter that they provided which was really fun. Their two cats Emma and Sophie were both so cute and easy to take care of. Emma was so adorable, silly and cuddly, Sophie was a bit more shy but warmed up quickly and was so sweet. I miss them both! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay Kat and Chantal! :)
Great experience housesitting- nice neighborhood and cool house and garden to spend some time in. Charlie was a sweet kitty and was a pleasure taking care of her for the week! Jane made it an easy and comfortable experience.
