Danni looked after Leeloo for 2.5 weeks while I was traveling both domestically and abroad with limited internet. Upon return to my home, the cat was alive and well and the apartment was exquisitely tidy, however a third of my house plants were dead, including a gifted one from my mother from many years ago. She was considerate of the others that live here in the house and kept to herself (no parties or anything) and was very respectful of my space. During my time away, though, Danni texted me with questions that had answers already printed in the very-thorough Welcome Guide (where is the vacuum, questions about the litter, sheets for the bed), which it seems she did not read well, or perhaps just skimmed. The guide also noted how to take care of the plants and where the brush was for the cat (Leeloo's hair filled many brushes when I returned). For the meet and greet here before Danni's stay, she arrived an hour earlier than scheduled (she offered to return later due to her mistake, which was very considerate) and cut the meeting short before I finished going over all of the details of the stay. She did send photos and videos of Leeloo a few times which I very much appreciated, however the questions that she asked me during the stay that had clear answers in the Welcome Guide caused me concern throughout my travels. She was very communicative and I'm sure is quite fine in other homes without plants and with a printed copy of the Welcome Guide on site and/or constant communication with the pet owner.

Theresa came to us even though she had fallen and injured her knee about a week before her sit started. We needed to find dog walkers for her as she was not able to the first ten days. She was terrific with our dog Berkeley a Cleo and gave them lots of attention even though she was hurt. She was brave to continue the sit after her injury and we really appreciated that!

We loved every minute of this sit in a beautiful part of Washington State. The hosts, Anne and Rob, were very helpful in providing lots of information that made this sit so special. We loved sitting out on the deck taking in the amazing view and wildlife. The local attractions, pubs and restaurants were great too and we loved that there were so many great hikes nearby. Junebug was such a sweet dog to take care of and we really grew attached to her during our short stay. We definitely recommend this sit if you ever have the opportunity.

Mary is definitely the hostess with the mostess :) Their animals were so sweet and cuddly. We had so much fun going on daily hikes with the dogs in their forested backyard. We would definitely come back for another housesit! Thanks for having us!

Where can we start? This was our first experience in TH and we couldn’t ask for something better.
First of all, James and Jackie are the sweetest and kindest persons we’ve ever met.
They treated us like part of their family, spent a lot of time with us, chatting and preparing amazing dinner and sharing their food with us. James also picked and dropped us at the train station every time we needed.
Although there was a change in their dates for some family’s problems, we spent one week at their place. The house is astonishing, big and cosy. We spent a lot of time watching the view from the kitchen or in front of the fire with a glass of wine.
Leila and Gracie are two beautiful creatures, and very very easy to handle.
Leila is always looking for food, she loves running in the garden and staying on the sofa receiving cuddles. Gracie is a sweet princess, although she has a disability, she is very energetic, full of love and life, and we already miss them a lot.
We would love to come back if we will have the possibility, it was truly a memorable experience.
Thank you again James and Jackie!

Communication was excellent before the sit so we felt very well prepared. We (and our dog) were warmly welcomed into Sarah and Robin's beautiful home where they spent time showing us round and explaining how everything worked as well as allowing us to spend time with Sadie and getting to know her daily routine. They very kindly prepared a lovely dinner for us and we spent a very pleasant few hours together before they left. Sadie is amazing, such a beautiful, calm, well behaved dog. We had a great time walking the dogs on the beautiful beach which is a 15 minute walk from the house (it's in a lovely, quiet village with loads of great walks from the doorstep). We had a fabulous week exploring the local area with the dogs, we'd recommend visiting Dirlieton castle and church, the Archerfield estate, North Berwick, and walking up the North Berwick Law (a hill with amazing views from the top). The entire sit was fabulous from start to finish but the star of the show was definitely Sadie! We were sorry to say goodbye to her and would be delighted to look after her again in the future.
