Dog Sitters in Bochum

Suzanne and Manfred were the perfect sitters for our alpacas, cat and doves! We invited them to arrive early to learn our routine and they quickly picked up how to "be" around alpacas! They were calm and organised and were soon accepted by the alpacas as safe to be close to! One alpaca was having antibiotic eye drops and they confidently completed the last few days of giving these. We received daily updates, photos and videos which reassured us that all was well at home! Suzanne and Manfred cared for the house, leaving it spotless for our return. Suzanne even made a delicious Thai soup for us for lunch...what a treat to return to! They had stripped beds and washed their sheets and towels which is certainly not something we expect as we arrive home quite early so they must have been up extremely early to get everything done ready for our return! This was above and beyond the job description! We thoroughly enjoyed the few days with Suzanne and Manfred, as they got to know the alpacas, before our holiday and we definitely now consider them as friends and hope that we will stay in touch and maybe meet again! This sit was complicated by the fact that we are selling the house and rehoming the alpacas so there was some uncertainty ....how many alpacas would still be at La Grand-Mère ? We know that Suzanne and Manfred have waited a long time to come to Brittany as well as to care for alpacas, so we truly hope that the uncertainty around our move wasn't too stressful for them! So ..without hesitation, we would recommend Suzanne and Manfred for your sit. You'll go away confident that your "babies" will receive the best care and your house too! Thank you Suzanne and Manfred for being the perfect sitters at a particularly stressful period in our lives! 😘

We loved having Elke and Thomas at our house. Our cats Chloe and Beaner were well taken care of and when we got home the cats were very happy. They sent us picture everyday and communicated regularly with house questions. The house was super tidy when we got back. We would love to have them back.

Liv was a perfect 5* sitter. Super conscientious- she did a fabulous job of looking after the cats and our home. She has a really peaceful nature which I think suits the cats a lot. She kept us updated throughout the sit with photos and short updates. We came home to a very tidy home. We would love for Liv to sit for us again.

Luisa and Marvin were here for the second time and everything worked out so smooth - they are always easy to contact and eager to learn everything about the dogs and the premises. They had a good time here, too, which made it a lot easier for us to leave the dogs - and know them to be in loving hands! I'd recommend them withouthesitation and hope, they'll come back here again, too🤗

It is easy to communicate with Melanie, she settled in very quickly and found her way around. My two fur noses liked her immediately and I was able to enjoy my holiday in a very relaxed way. When I returned, my flat was in immaculate condition. I don't think my two really missed me. I can highly recommend Melanie and she is always welcome here.

Katja and Matthew are wonderful! They took such great care of Mango. Mango was a little nervous or sad that we were gone at first and Katja was patient with him to help him adjust. Katja and Matthew sent photos and videos of their walks with him everyday. They even did some training with him. They were communicative, helpful, clean, and very caring towards Mango. I would highly recommend them as house sitters and dog sitters.

Sharon took care of my cat Kiwi while I was gone. She was an amazing sitter, sent me regular updated, and took very good care of Kiwi and my flat. Thank you, Sharon! <3

Kai was awesome. He was great with Ra. We would highly recommend Kai.

Alina was absolutely fabulous in all ways! She arrived from a considerable distance at short notice and looked after my cats with care, sensitivity and patience. She not only left my house immaculate and stripped the beds, but also baked me some scones that she left for me on return and took some great photos of my cats too. She is a gem who clearly cares about animals and everything else she does too. I cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you so much Alina! :)

I was looking forward to have Jutta coming back and this sit was a private invite. Jutta take good care of the cats throughout the stay, which of course was the most important aspect. Though sometimes when things are getting "too familiar", it might be easy to overlook a few things. Due to earlier trust, she was offered a few extra advantages this time. Some extra instructions were given in relation to this. Additionally it was mentioned no need for the extra reminders in the app, as she would know since before, and she knew the routines. Unfortunately during her stay there were some noisy guests as it is holiday season. She was given permission to do what was needed in relation to this if it was a problem. I did what I could from a distance by talking in our community chat for the urbanization. Throughout my trip I got a little bit more than I appreciated complaints about the development of the culture in messages. I haven't had any of these issues after coming back from my trip as well. At the end of the stay Jutta kindly offered to make food to be ready when I came home. This I appreciated and accepted. What I didn't expect when I came home was that the end-instructions were a bit more sloppy followed. Even if intentions were good of leaving all other food/drinks, it wasn't something I appreciated coming home to, needing to start making space for my own food in the fridge and throw away hers. I would have appreciated a clear communication. Instructions about keys were given, parts of it was not followed due to time-constrictions, which for me is better to do with planning. Unfortunately coming home added some extra stress to me getting in due to not following the added instructions given in relation to some special extra key she had access to. As sitters arrive fully to a made up bedroom, clean towels/bathroom mats/tea towels, it is expected that these are washed and hung for drying before the sitter leaves. If sitter has agreed to stay in the main bedroom instead of the guest bedroom, sutters are asked to ensure I don't need to start making my own bed the first thing I come home (as if they sleep in the guestroom,my bed will be made by me before my trip). Unfortunately this time it seemed like planning of time and going through the checklist was a bit more sloppy. Only bedsheets had been put in the washing machine, not ready hung up (cycle takes max 90 min on requested program), towels ready for wash outside, tea towels not changed, bathroom mats not washed/ taken from bathroom even. There had been many ways to solved much of this, though the only thing I was informed when we meet at the airport was that she didn't have time to take up vacuum cleaner and the mops were still standing in the hallway. Jutta was given "permission" not to think about certain things that normally is on the expected list, though unfortunately many more were forgotten (as picking up poop in the "garden toilet box" that the cats use). I'm sure Jutta will be great for other pet/home owners even if we'll not continue our relationship. Mistakes happen, and nothing needs to be perfect, it was just many small things that made this a bit more stressful than I had expected and hoped for. Best of luck in your future sits . Jaro and Frederick looked after our dog Sammie with so much love and care! They walked lots nice walks with him as we asked. Also we got pictures and videos of Sammie during the sit. Communication was great and also when we or they had any questions we had contact through WhatsApp with quick response. They took very good care of our house and garden and left it very tidy and clean when we got home. I hope they will sit Sammie again next time when we are away from home. This was our first house sitting experience and it couldn’t have gone better. Jule and Phillip were such wonderful sitters, before, during and after. Even thought we have never met I’d like to think we would keep in touch. They took great care of our cat and our home, we came back after our trip to a wonderfully tidy home. They were both so respective of our house and our possessions. I would no hesitation in recommended them both. Thank you!!!
