David and Sarah gave us a warm welcome to their home in Scotland. Communication with them before and during the sit was great, they responded immediately to messages. We also received a comprehensive welcome pack. Their house and garden are spacious and our bedroom with an en-suite shower room was cosy with a very comfortable bed. The parrots Bramble and Dewey are great fun to talk to and they even sang to us at times. Jess was a little timid to start with but once she got to know us she loved to be petted whilst Chester was a real character and was also very friendly. Hazel is adorable and very affectionate. We enjoyed taking her for walks or cuddling up with her on the sofa whilst reading. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Brechin. It's a great place to stay if you want to discover the area....Aberdeen and Dundee aren't far away if you want to visit a city. The Cairngorms are very close by if your prefer the country. Also recommended are the beaches along the coast for a bracing walk. If you want to stay in - the house is situated on a quiet road so is perfect for relaxing. Thank you David and Sarah for having us to stay. HIghly recommend this house sit!
Comfy cozy home, sweetest Goldie kisses, and a cool cat (although he is sneaky but can’t control or blame em for being curious!) Good communication, nice neighborhood to walk through, and great record collection to listen to too!
My stay with Gus was beyond amazing!! I fell in love with him, instantly. He is the sweetest boy and those sweet eyes got me every time! He loved to sleep in bed with me, typically under the covers, as well as sit next to me on the couch and put his little paw in my hand… 🥰 I could not have asked for a better sit! Gus has the biggest personality! He was very obedient, let you know when he had to go potty, loved to play with his toys, and once he was finished walking, and going potty, he knew exactly where the cookies were at the front desk. The front desk staff were also very kind and they love Gus! The apartment was beautiful, warm, clean, and cozy. I felt very relaxed and very comfortable. Everything you can imagine is within walking distance and the Metro Station is a couple blocks away, if you’re not one for walking. I walked over 8 miles one day and it was fabulous! I did not want to leave Gus and was quite sad on my way to the airport. I am so grateful Brian and Derek allowed me to stay with Gus. They were both so very nice and helpful! They were very easy to communicate with and made my stay absolutely amazing! Any time I had a question, they were quick to answer and made me feel very welcome in their home. I highly, highly recommend this stay, if you get the chance!
Red is a super snuggly cat, and quite vocal, too! Their home is so cozy, especially for reading in the sun room. Nice art throughout as well. And such soft wood floors - love it!
I had a lovely sit at Michaela and Tif's. Lola and Smartie are lovely, affection though sometimes naughty (Smartie) dogs. Because of Scotland's roaming laws we could really go anywhere, so it never felt like I needed to decide to go for a walk, I would just wander across the fields for a couple of hours and Lola and Smartie would happily come with me. Although Lola is definitely the more energetic, Smartie would always catch up even if sometimes covered in mud! The garden is very well maintained and quite easy to look after when your there. I clipped some holly with Connie the gardener, helped her tidy up the leaves, and we had a good chat about volunteering and travelling. The chickens and duck really look after themselves, and as long as you top up their water and food, you get an abundant quantity of eggs. Michaela and Tif are wonderful hosts, they picked me up from the station and dropped me off again, Michaela kindly took me into town to do some shopping and they even fed me for the few days before the sit was meant to start. A really relaxing sit in stunning countryside with friendly dogs, how better to spend a couple of weeks?
What a wonderful weekend with Luna and Tommy! They are both very friendly with no reservations about new people. Amy and Lee showed us the hiking trails and it was a beautiful place to walk with Luna. She and Tommy spend most of the time lying on the porch and we spent our time there with them enjoying the quiet and peaceful view. The sitting instructions were clear and simple, the house very comfortable, and it was lovely to meet Amy and Lee along with Luna and Tommy. We highly recommend this sitting opportunity.
