Iris is so loveable and well behaved. She was an absolute pleasure to take care of. Very sweet and such a cuddle bug. Sarah was very welcoming and had such a lovely home. It was a wonderful week in Anacortes, such a beautiful place.
This was such a lovely experience! Cassius and Brutus (black labs) were extremely chill and sweet. Rocky and Moose (chocolate retrievers) are in their excited puppy phase but were very affectionate. Everyone gets pumped for meals and walks and then down times in between are filled with naps and cuddling! I wasn't sure about the no-leash walks but the boys were extremely well-mannered and always stayed in sight. The house and location are wonderful! It's a very restful space and isolated in a private but not scary way, I always felt comfortable there alone. It's a short trip into downtown Santa Fe and all the great attractions there. Peter and Michael were friendly and very generous about opening up their home!
It was an absolute pleasure looking after sweet little Sophie and I would pet sit her again in a heartbeat. She was well behaved and gentle and was no trouble at all. A big thank you to Joy and Bob for being such wonderful hosts. They are very kind and gracious people who cared about my comfort and well-being. They have a beautiful home and I had a very enjoyable experience. Thank you Joy and Bob, it was lovely meeting you!
Pieter and I watched Odysseus and Buddy for just under a week. Heidi left wonderful, detailed instructions. We had a beautiful room to sleep in. The neighborhood is quiet and has lots of sidewalks making walking the dogs easy and having a fenced in back yard was great - made quick bathroom breaks easy. We took long walks through the trails with both dogs and that really helps tire Odysseus out. He was calmer once back at home. Giving him one of his chomp bones once in a while distracted him if he was biting at his paw. We felt very welcomed and that our care for the home and pups was appreciated by Heidi and Drew. Sweet dogs!
Luna and Luca are gorgeous cats. Shy at first, but once they get to know you they are very friendly and love to cuddle in front of the laptop. Other than wanting a bit of love they are really non-demanding. They have their automatic feeders that need filling up, a bit of cleaning and that's it really. And Luna's medication is really simple to prepare and she its it happily. Other than that the house is beautiful, and as we are working from home it was very convenient that there are several places to locate your "home office" while working, and get inspired by all the books around. The house is also very well located, quite central and close to several bus/tran/u lines. All in all a very recommended sit and we would love to come back. One word of caution though - the cats love to try and eat each other's food, so take extra care in the morning when you give Luna her medication. I thought it makes sense to sit next to them until she finishes her medication and then take the plate - make sure Luca doesn't get medicated instead :-0 And last note - if you come to stay in Vienna, check out some local recommendations for great coffee shop and restaurants in the area. I stayed with Zoey and Ghost for a little over two weeks. They are well behaved pups and easy to care for. Natasha and Dwayne made me feel welcome and comfortable in their home. Communication was excellent👌. I really enjoyed working from their bright sun room overlooking Fish Creek Park and exploring the trails every day.
