What a FANTASTIC house/pet sitter! Flexible from the very beginning, Toni came in and immediately took care of things while I got ready for a last-minute trip. The animals adored her from the start and she was very loving with them from the get go. I also have a cat who is probably at her last year and Toni took her to the vet a couple times for some shots and was very communicative. She sent photos almost every day and I felt very much still in the loop of things. Toni had agreed to meet and spend some time with the next house sitters because I had to split the sit into two. She informed them of all the particulars and made for a VERY easy changeover. I would be happy to have her sit any time she is available, she was the best!

Engeli
Engeli was very kind and welcoming, even going so far as to cook us a hot meal when we arrived and stocking up on a few sundries for us beforehand. She made us feel very comfortable and did a great job showing us how everything in her home worked.

Oli is such a sweet dog. He immediately befriended us and stuck by our side for the whole sit. He loves his walks and even more so loves his food and was a pleasure to spend time with. He's a loving and generally easy dog to care for.

Avandaro and Valle de Bravo, if you've never been, are absolutely beautiful. Lots of forested hiking and waterfalls and hidden vistas and lake activities and fancy dining and all manner of shopping all in short driving distance from the house.

The house is super cute, a cozy cabin in the woods. When the sun comes out it is light-filled yet still cool. It feels very secluded and private even though the neighbors are not far at all. We were there in August which is mid-rainy season for the area and did not fully understand just how cold and damp the house would be. I think if we had brought warmer socks and a few more sweaters we might have been very cozy. Luckily there are many people selling firewood on the side of the road this time of year so we were able to keep a fire going in the fireplace to dry out and stay warm. In the dry season I imagine the house is probably a forest dream come true and it's my understanding that Engeli is planning to get a space heater so I think that will warm the place up really nicely in the rainy season.

Petra
This was such a great housesit! Petra was the best host - incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and Tallulah is the coolest cat. She is so sweet, affectionate, and adorable. The apartment is very clean and tidy, comfortable, and in a quiet, safe neighborhood close to a ton of great restaurants. I had a great stay from start to finish and would 100% recommend it/would stay again.

Elise
Pet sitting for Elise and Sachin was a delight! Their home is in the Mount Rainier neighborhood, which is in Maryland just across the DC city limits. Their older, remodeled home has a great kitchen and is very comfortable. There are multiple workspaces upstairs, and their internet is fast. On-street parking is ample. Communication with Elise and Sachin was great before and during the sit and we enjoyed sending them pictures and videos of the kitties while we were there. Although Mount Rainier has a few restaurants within an easy walking distance, you are no more than a 20-25 min drive to all that the Washington DC area has to offer.

The kitties were an interesting crew to look after. Neil is a big orange tabby and very friendly. He loved getting brushed, especially in the morning, and spent most of the day either sleeping on one of the chairs downstairs or on a bed or cat bed in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Lira is probably the most sociable cat we have ever known. She wasn’t shy at all and was quick to jump on our laps as soon as we sat down on the couch or chair. She is the definition of a lap cat! Lira also loved to chase the laser pointer and never seemed to tire out. Lil is a very interesting cat, and the challenge each day was to see if we could coax her downstairs to eat her meals. I worked throughout the week at one of the desks upstairs and she slept next to me the entire day in a cat bed. We were happy to see her get seemingly more comfortable with us as the week went on.

Looking after the cats was easy. Elise and Sachin have two Litter Robots which only need emptying every few days. Likewise, mealtime was easy with the cats being fed twice per day (powdered food for Neil and canned food for Lira and Lil), and a treat (dry food) at bedtime. Neil went outside into the yard a couple of times during the week and constant supervision is not required.

I definitely recommend this home to other sitters for its location, easy cats, and welcoming home owners. We would gladly pet sit for Elise and Sachin again!

Todd
I had a lovely stay with Eslie and Elmer! They are super sweet and fluffy kitties that love to cuddle up on the couch, which made for a cozy stay! I didn't get to meet Todd, but communication was always good and helpful. Everything I needed to know was in the guide, and appreciated how complete it was. Highly recommended, and would sit again anytime!

James
Antonia, James, Eliza and Henry welcomed us warmly to their lovely family home to care for Clover, Inca, Goggles and Coco during the Jubilee weekend. They had thoughtfully baked a delicious cake for us and showed us around, explaining everything and talked us through the pet care routines. The house was cosy and well-equipped and very handy for shops in Pewsey. There are loads of lovely walks from the house; going towards Southcott and then taking the bridleways and footpaths out into the countryside and up to the white horse was a particular favourite. Clover and Inca accepted our dog, Tess, into their little pack and it was really fun watching Inca zoom around the house, encouraging Tess to play, or throwing her dog toy into the air so she could catch it again. Playtime aside, the dogs were very settled and we found them very easy to care for, even Clover's meds were straightforward and Antonia and James had left comprehensive instructions if we needed a reminder. The bunnies were very easy to look after and Goggles in particular loved cuddles. James and Antonia asked us if it was OK for them to return home a day early, due to bad weather and that worked out fine for us too. They very kindly bought us back some gifts, which was entirely unexpected, although really appreciated. All in all, we had a lovely time and would thoroughly recommend sitting for them. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home and look after your lovely animals.

Ian
What a fantastic experience.
I had the enormous privilege of looking after Tarn and Tink at Ian's beautiful home.
I was greeted very warmly by all three and felt immediately at ease.
Having arrived on the eve of Ian's departure, he took the time to show me Tarn's favourite walks and then prepared a delicious dinner for me.

Tarn and Tink could not be more different even though they are both very affectionate, kind and well educated.
Tarn is a cuddly dog, very gentle, energetic and patient. He loves attention, hugs, caresses and company. He adores playing with the ball, swimming and eating. We went for long walks in parks and fields, playing fetch, and swimming (just him). He has been very good with the many dogs we have met and very quiet in the presence of cows and various birds. His recall being excellent, he made the walks off the lead relaxing and fun.

Tink is a very independent and sweet cat, she seeks physical contact in the form of cuddles mainly in the evenings, although for me every opportunity was good to show her my love even during the day with kisses and caresses. It was nice to sleep with her.

Ian is an exquisite person, smiling, kind and an excellent cook. It was wonderful to observe the strong bond of love, complicity, trust and loyalty that links Ian to Tarn and vice versa.

The house is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, bright, clean, tidy and conveniently located for those wishing to visit the wonderful city of Cambridge on foot.

I would recommend this sit without hesitation and would be delighted to look after Tarn and Tink again in the future.
