This is our favourite sit! We couldn’t get enough of Max, Tank and Allie and we can’t wait to go back! Julie and Steve were amazing hosts. They opened the door to their beautiful home to us, introduced us to their gorgeous animals, offered we use whatever was in the kitchen, got us pastries and fresh juice, and even paid for our parking ticket! We knew this was the right fit the moment we met Julie over a video call. She was so lovely, straightforward, and easy to talk to. The communication remained excellent throughout the sit. We were in touch on a daily basis, checking- in with photos and videos. If there were any questions regarding the house, Julie promptly responded, and we always felt we could rely on her in case anything came up. Before they left for the airport, Julie went for a walk with us and the dogs, so she could show us the ropes, which was brilliant. I would equally compliment Julie’s honesty and transparency. She was very clear Tank was a newbie in the household and shared her concerns with us. Since he isn’t used to regular walks, he gets very barky when it comes to other dogs, so that requires an adequate level of patience and caution. But that didn’t bother us at all. We absolutely loved the dogs! Tank is like a little teddy, the most adorable lil thing that fits in your lap and wants cuddles until the end of time. He is so sweet and such a good boy inside the house. He follows you around like a shadow, keeping you company in front of the toilet, waiting for a treat, lying on his back, giving you his belly as long as you want it. He is so gentle and affectionate. All he wants is contact with you, and he’s willing to entertain you with those big brown eyes and playful tail until he gets it. So much fun and truly a beautiful soul. Although he gets barky around other dogs while on a walk, when you pick him up, he stops. As long as you make sure he doesn’t have contact with other dogs, he’s fine. Max is another cuddle bug on this address, and we mean a real deal cuddle bug. A gorgeous lad that lands his head in your lap between meetings for some loving. A bouncy pile of joy when it’s time for a walk. A gentle giant who takes a treat off ya like it’s a snowflake. A big baby who loves nothing more than to lie with you on the sofa. Cuddles, sleep and more cuddles. An absolute gent on the lead. Max is the perfect dog. We fell in love with him, and he stole our hearts forever. There’s also lovely Allie, who is still quite shy, hiding in the washroom, but when you come over to her, she is equally affectionate and wants to connect with you just like the boys. To top it all, Julie and Steve have impeccable taste in interior design, the house is fabulous, and it’s right in the city centre. of Waterford. We can’t fault this sit. 10/10!! Warmly recommend it in every way!
I had a great time taking care of Josephine for 5 days. she was a true best friend throughout the period & she is a pleasure to be around and pretty hilarious. Melissa was very welcoming and she made sure I was comfortable and explained to me everything and was always there when I had questions. The location is very quiet and you got everything close by you (5-7 mins walk). I would love to come again and stay with josephine! I definitely recommend this sit ❤️
It was a pleasure spending time with Ivar and Mrs. Darcy, who are both super sweet pets. Ivar is a gentle giant, easy to entertain and happy to play, nap, or just be wherever you are. Mrs. Darcy is an elderly dame who needs her sleep but appeared a few times to say hello and ask for food. Michelle is a fab host, interesting and easy to chat with, and has a beautiful home with countryside views. Thanks for a great sit.
As it was our introduction to the UK and our first sit here, I believe it was a kind providence that had us find and link up with Liz, Phil, and their entire family. These are genuinely fine and warm people who made extra efforts to help us get the most out of our stay in the Oxford area. Tango, their big ball of love, and a very popular personality in the neighborhood, made it easy to meet and interact with other pet parents on our regular and routine walks. She’s playful and affectionate but loves to gobble up random pieces of just about anything chewable out on walks so be alert for that. There is a spacious and beautiful park just a few steps away from home to walk and hang out so getting there takes all of 1-2 minutes, literally. And when back at the house, we had a well equipped and comfortable surroundings. The neighborhood of Headington is walkable and contains plenty of grocery stores, pharmacies, pubs, restaurants, etc. if you wish to catch a bus into Oxford, the bus stop is just a stone’s throw away (ok, maybe when I was a younger man!) and you’ll be in there in a little over 5 minutes. We learned a lot about the area as Liz & Phil provided lots of useful info and suggestions. To summarize, they and Tango are kind and a joy to work with and we would gladly return so don’t miss out on this opportunity when it presents again.
Deni left detailed instructions for the household and Bootsie/Socks care. Home was comfortable with sun filled rooms and nice views of the surrounding grounds... near the freeway for easy travel access. Whether sunbathing, cleaning each other (so cute!) or playing with their favorite toys, these two boys are a joy to care for.
