Natalie and her partner John sat for a weekend for us at short notice after another sitter let us down. They were very punctual, friendly and reliable, and we knew our dogs were in safe hands with them. The dogs were happy and relaxed when we returned, having enjoyed their walks, and the house was left clean and tidy. We would thoroughly recommend Natalie and would be delighted if she were able to sit for us in the future.
Absolutely amazing - we don't know where to start! Mel, Rolf and Samu are the best sitters we've had. They truly made the most out of their stay, exploring the area and taking our pup (Soju) for beautiful walks and hikes. Beach, forest, fields - they were always out and about, having fun. They even discovered places that we haven't been to ourselves. We loved receiving pictures of their walks with Soju, which clearly showed how well they cared for her. Even though we didn't always have internet connection during our trip, we were never worried, knowing that Soju was in good hands. Communication was great from start to finish and we found the house more than spotless upon return. We can't thank you enough, Mel, Rolf & Samu!

Waggy Wanderers have been fabulous helping walk/entertain our big fella while myself and the wife are out at work all day. You'll get a serious amount of videograhy and photos of your prized fur ball out and about on his adventures with Laura and his wee doggy pals too which is brilliant to see (few high quality snaps attached for example). Great service 👏
Laura pet sat my house rabbit for a week and was absolutely amazing. It's always scary leaving your pet with someone new for the first time (especially when they're quite sensitive and not particularly fond of people like my boy is!) but Laura was very competent and kind, and really respected his individual needs. I could tell from the daily updates she sent that he was comfortable and being looked after very well, which was so reassuring whilst I was away. She was an absolute godsend and I wouldn't hesitate to have her pet sit for me again in the future.
Laura at Waggy Wanderers Pet Care is simply amazing with our fur baby. From day one she’s worked with us to meet our dogs needs and has helped with his training hugely. Laura takes time to get to know the dogs and really does cater for individual needs. She’s also super flexible and always try’s her best to meet our schedule. I couldn’t recommend Laura more!! Added bonus that Laura shares updates/photos of the walks with us via WhatsApp and Facebook which is so lovely to see. Our dog absolutely loves his time with his Laura!
We have 2 rescue dogs that can be very nervous on walks, and Laura is great with them and they love when they go on their walks with Laura. Laura has been very flexible when helping organise walks to fit the dogs with my shift work, She is very trustworthy and I would highly recommend Laura to anyone.

Laura has been, and is, a fantastic dog walker. She has been walking our dog since Lunan was just 12 weeks old (initially she did call-in puppy visits and then went from solo walks to integrating Lunan into group walks which are fantastic for socialising and tiring out our little one 😊). Laura communicates regularly with photos and videos to show how our dog got on that day/ week as well as checking in each week to ensure what services we need. Laura is incredibly flexible as she has changed days, times and even looked after Lunan in the evening time when events have arisen we have needed to attend. We landed so lucky with Laura and I cannot endorse her enough. She’s diligent, flexible and above all, a lover of dogs(and animals of all types): what else do you need from a dog walker?
Highly recommended. Friendly, professional service and the cats love her. Laura looked after our cats for a week, and we returned to two very chilled and happy cats, she even won over our male cat who can be very aloof with strangers! Laura sent us regular updates and even took care of watering the plants etc, we’ll definitely be using waggy wanderers again.

We were away for several weeks and could not arrange for someone to stay to look after our cat Sheba nor did we want to put her in a cattery. A friend recommended Mel from Animals first and she did a fantastic job visiting daily, providing regular updates and even set up a camera to record Sheba's antics. Sheba is a shy little cat but Mel kept trying her hardest to entice her into playing and engaging but, when that didn't wotk Mel set up regular 'activity centers' which Sheba enjoyed greatly. Would strongly recommend this service for anyone needing a caring and kind service for their animal.
Mel has been helping care for my two older cats this year while I am away regularly with work. Max needs daily medication which Mel has been fantastic as administering. It takes all of the anxiety and worry out of leaving them when you know how well cared for they are. I receive photos and videos from each visit and I think they boys now like Mel and her bags of kitty toys more than they like me! I would 100% recommend Mel and the team to anyone wanting top class care for their cats.
Animal First is absolutely amazing! The wonderful lady took great care of my cat Orange. She showed great responsibility, love, and attention to detail. Not only did she provide care, but she also captured the most adorable moments through a series of heartwarming photos. Highly, highly recommended!
Mel is the most absolutely wonderful cat sitter my two cats have ever had. She came first to meet them and they took an instant liking to her. After the tunnel extravaganza she put on over one Christmas, she has now cemented her place in their hearts forever. I feel completely safe with leave Mel to take care of my two fluffy ones. She is really responsive and takes pictures as well so you can stay in touch with your cat while you are away. I can't quite emphasise enough how highly recommended Mel comes from me. I am sure if my cats could also have a vote they would give her five paws each. Reviewing as I can't remember if I've raved about Mel already. She is a total gem.
I first started using Mel not long after moving to Edinburgh with my 3 girls. I always got nervous leaving them when I was away but Mel is absolutely amazing and I’m now at complete ease whenever I go away. The girls are so well looked after and are most definitely spoilt rotten by her, she’s even won over Bailey who doesn’t warm up easily to anyone! (you can most definitely sense the disappointment when I walk back through the door). She’s always in contact and the amount of photos I get daily just put a cherry on top of everything! I can’t recommend Mel enough!
Mel is a great pet sitter. She brought lots of toys to keep my cats entertained and they sure had a blast. I got lots of photos and videos of them playing, too. The best measure of good pet sitting to me is, are my pets super needy when I return (meaning they didn’t get much attention) or are they simply happy? My girls were super happy and relaxed, so you can bet I’m over the moon with Mel’s service and will ask her again to take care of them when I go on holiday!
We booked Melissa to look after our cat for a week while we traveled abroad. She gave us updates (loads of photos and videos) every day. I'm pretty sure our cat had a better holiday week than we did! The care and love Melissa has for animals really shows and we're very glad we've found her. We would highly recommend Melissa as a cat sitter, and if our cat could type words I'm sure he'd say the same thing!
Mel is an absolutely fantastic cat sitter. I have two Bengal cats who need a lot of attention and playtime. She plays with them far more than any sitter I've had in the past, and brings a host of new toys for them to interact with during each visit. My boys are always excited to see Mel, and she sends me heaps of happy photos and videos of my boys playing every visit. Thank you Mel for taking such great care of my boys!!
My kitty was so well cared for and Mel really seems to love what she does! We were kept posted about how our kitty was doing and which toys she was enjoying. We were sent lots of photos and Mel was always fast to respond to any inquiries we had. So worth it!
Slightly don't want to recommend Mel purely for selfish purposes as I want to keep her to ourselves..! But honestly she's brilliant and our two cats definitely agree. Always a relief to know she's looking after them when we're away, with LOTS of photos of their adventures.
Our 1 year old cockapoo has been going to Meadowhill for day care once a week for just over 3 months. The staff are excellent, so friendly and happy to answer any questions you might have. Our dog bounds out to the centre without even looking back to say goodbye. I can see him running round with all his friends outside as I leave the car park. It’s really helped to socialise him too.
My black cocker spaniel Jory has attended Meadowhill for almost six years. Firstly because she and my grandchildren were very young and needed protection from each other. They have grown up to be besties together. My dog does have separation anxiety, no sign of that when she trots in for a day at Meadowhill. Staff are approachable and friendly and it’s a great place for Jory to spend a day with her doggy friends.
Cassi has only been going to Meadowhill for around 2 months and I was very nervous after a bad experience elsewhere, I can honestly say they are amazing and made me feel so confident on cassies settle in days. She now runs out the car every time as she knows exactly how much fun she is going to have socialising with all the other fab doggy’s!🐶
We have been using Meadowhill Dog Day Care just a few months shy of 7 years. The staff are wonderful with our slightly anxious cockapoo. They show her great attention and affection and this makes us happy leaving her as she gets to play with her other fury friends under a watchful eye. I love going to Meadowhill. My humans have chauffeured me there for the past few years. I enjoy meeting my friends for a chase around the play area, my favourite spot is the tyre. The humans at Meadow hill are very caring and friendly. They help us take selfies to show our humans our adventures. I feel very lucky to play there and would give it five paws🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
River has been attending Meadowhill since she was 6 months old. She's now 3 and loves the time she spends here each week. She always comes home a happy tired girl after a hard day playing with her friends! Excellent, friendly staff who are always happy to help, would highly recommend.

Our dog Oryn has been going to Meadowhill for about 3 years now and absolutely loves it! He gets excited when the car turn the corner at the top of the road as he knows where he is going and can't wait to get out and run inside. They have an outdoor play area, a deck area and a cosy area inside, so the dogs have a great choice of what to do and a rest area when needed. The staff there are all very friendly, take great care of your dogs and they put regular posts on the Facebook page, so you can see what your dogs been up to. I would highly recommend Meadowhill.
An outstanding professional service! We could not be happier with the service that Kirsty provides. Being new to dog ownership we were apprehensive about finding a suitable dog walker and so set up several meetings with various dog walkers. Kirsty was first and we immediately cancelled all the other meetings as we were so impressed by her professionalism, knowledge and flexibility. Kirsty provides a very personal service and clearly cares a lot about the dogs in her care. As our puppy has grown our needs have changed and Kirsty has been so helpful and flexible in adapting the routine as our needs have developed. She provides a daily diary and photos of our dog enjoying her walks as well as screenshots of the route she has gone - very helpful to find new places to walk yourself. All in all, we couldn't be happier and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kirsty to anyone looking for a dog walker.
Kirsty has been looking after my one year old labrador since she was three months old. Kirsty cares a great deal about the dogs she looks after and my dog always has a great time when she is out walking with Pups and Paws. Kirsty is reliable, extremely flexible and always quick to respond to any queries. Kirsty provides an email update and pictures after each walk which is a really nice touch. Kirsty is wonderful with our 13 year old lab/collie cross who has spinal problems, is pretty blind and deaf and doesn't like most other dogs - so not the easiest of charges! He still loves the short walks he is able to go on and greets Kirsty with great excitement when she arrives for his twice daily 'let-outs'. She is 100% reliable, very flexible, is great with Charlie and provides the perfect service for him now he is too old and infirm for daycare. Thanks Kirsty!
Kirsty made herself available during Christmas week to walk my Labrador pup during the afternoon for several days. I cannot recommend her services enough; she left detail "report cards" on how my pup did on the walk and how much he ate, kept in contact with me via email for any important issues that came up, and was extremely detail-orientated, ensuring that she followed the care instructions left for my dog exactly and asking about things I didn't even think about. A very professional and reliable service -- would definitely use again!!
I can not recommend Kirsty highly enough. She has walked my elderly dog, Bailey, every day with such care, providing beautiful email reports detailing his walk and accompanied by photos of all the fun they had. As a veterinary surgeon, I am very picky about who looks after my own dog- Kirsty is a fantastic choice. After only a few weeks being walked by Kirsty, Bailey’s mood improved, he became more energetic and enthusiastic, and could not wait for his walks. Kirsty is kind, dedicated, respectful, empathetic and generous - All the dogs she looks after are treated as if they are her own.
Due to attending a family funeral the day after I welcomed my 8week old puppy to our house, I had contacted kirsty a few days before I picked up my puppy to put in place a visit to make sure our puppy could be fed, let into garden & had a welcoming face to check on her & wasn't on her own for any length of time. Kirsty was great, she was very prompt with replies, her communication is second to none (even after a slight mix up on my side) I had no doubt my puppy was going to be in safe hands! Olivia looked after our crazy cocker spaniel for our wedding and we could not recommend her more! I met with Olivia beforehand and instantly could tell how much our pup loved her, which put my mind at ease before the big day. She puts your dogs needs first and adapts things to suit their needs. Our dog can get overwhelmed in busy places/new surroundings and Olivia being there meant we could have our pup there for the ceremony/some photos, without worrying about him as we knew he was in very safe hands. Would definitely recommend The Dog Lady to any couples who are thinking of having their dog/s at their wedding! ☺️
Olivia was such an asset to our wedding day! We have a very nervous, reactive cockapoo with attachment issues and Olivia done her best to make him the priority of the day and ensure he was comfortable. When we first met Olivia we went for a walk so Rex the cockapoo could get to know her and he warmed up to her very quickly. He was great on a walk with her but come the wedding day he was very anxious and Olivia ended up taking him for a drive as the only time he would settle was in the car. She made our day so much better not having to worry about Rex. He even managed to come and get photos with us which turned out beautifully! We could not recommend her enough!
We booked The Dog Lady for her wedding chaperone services on the 8th June 2024 and it as one of the best decisions we made in our wedding! We are so grateful to Olivia for being Hunter's chaperone and to have him present at the ceremony and the photos. It made the day extra special to us that he could be a part of it. Olivia provides an extremely professional service and her confident, knowledgable and organised personality gave us every reassurance that Hunter was in good hands and was going to be well looked after. We were able to meet up with Olivia before the big say so Hunter knew her friendly face and she kept in touch on the run up to the big day for logistics. Olivia also kindly provided us behind the scenes photos and videos of Hunter before, during and after the wedding so we were fully involved and kept up to date. Thank you so much again, we would highly recommend Olivia to anyone getting married who would like their 4 legged pals to be there!
Olivia looked after a couple of pups during our Wedding and we couldn't be happier with the service she provided. Not only did she do a great job handling our energetic Golden Retriever but she gave us peace of mind that the dogs were happy and safe and having her as part of our wedding allowed the entire family to relax and enjoy the day. We particularly enjoyed the wee photo updates the next day on what they had gotten up to and our photographer was especially thankful to have Olivia on hand to help get some lovely photos of us with Finn. Olivia took care of Pepper for our wedding recently. From start to finish, we couldn’t have asked for more. We had updates when we needed them, she was exactly where we were at the right times, and Pepper was clearly well looked after despite it being a little stressful for her. We’d happily recommend her to anyone who is looking for a chaperone for their dog.
Olivia was fantastic with our dog Murphy on the day of our wedding. She made sure she was calm during our ceremony and we didnt hear a peep (until we signed the registry and heard a little bark to let us know she was there haha). She walked Murphy before and washed her paws incase she jumped on us in excitement. I am so glad we used Olivia as it meant we had peace of mind and Murphy was able to be there for our special day.
Venus absolutely loves going on adventure days with Olivia. We also trust Olivia complete to watch Venus on occasions when we need a dog sitter, she keeps us updated the whole time and looks after her really well. Venus is always so excited when she sees Olivia which is testament to the bond they have formed and how well looked after she is in Olivia’s care. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
We used Olivia’s services for our recent wedding to look after our dog Billy and my parents dog during our special day and it was the best decision we made. Olivia was brilliant and enabled Billy to be part of the ceremony as a ring bearer which meant a lot to us. Olivia kept our lively young border terrier incredibly calm despite all the chaos and then took him off for a fantastic adventure at the beach. It made the day even more special that we could relax during our big day knowing the dogs were also having the best time and I would highly recommend Olivia to anyone planning their wedding.
Olivia looked after our two puggles Freddie and George on our wedding day. She took great care of them and it really helped us have a stress free day not having to worry about them! She brought them down to meet our guests at the drinks reception and helped wrangle them together for some photos - all our guests loved meeting them and we have some great pics of our boys!
We booked Olivia for our wedding to help with our dog, Rocco. This was one of the best decisions we made for our day. From the very beginning she was great, arranging a little meet up the week before so Rocco knew who she was. On the day she arranged to take him to a local secure dog field as he’s not great off the lead so we had the piece of mind knowing he got a good bit of exercise in the morning. She was then there so he could see all our guests and was great helping with photos. We didn't worry about him all day as we knew he was in the best hands! She’s such a lovely girl and you can just tell how much she loves her job which made leaving Rocco so much easier. Couldn’t recommend Olivia enough.
My super anxious, tiny little rescue dog has been going to the play center 1-2 days a week for about a year and he LOVES it. Loves the dogs but as he’s now an older gent, mostly enjoys cuddles from the lovely people who work there and watch the dogs. From pick up and drop off to a report card and pictures/videos, he is in such good hands with Alicia and her staff. I’ve also free-sleep boarded him with Alicia’s team (short weekends all the way up to 9 nights), and he is so taken care of and happy when he gets to have sleepovers there. Would definitely recommend!
*Day care* Alicia and her team are the best. Our energetic cockapoo puppy has been attending the day care since its opening day, and we couldn't be happier. Alicia truly cares for each and every dog, and takes the time to get to know them and understand them. What really makes her day care different (and better) than all others is that she (and her team) carefully and lovingly teach doggy manners to make sure every dog is comfortable and safe. The picture updates are a great bonus, too. Our boy comes home tired and happy every time!
We have a tricky little rescue dog who we never thought would be able to go to a doggy daycare… until we met Alicia! Now our dog goes every week to daycare, has started to play with the other dogs and loves to get cuddles from the staff there. We always know she’s in safe hands and will be securely dropped off at home. This has been a life changer for us! Thanks team!
My puppy has been going to Alicia's for a couple of months and he absolutely loves it. Personally, I love the little summary I receive at the end of the day with pictures and videos, and I feel safe leaving my dog in the Alicia's capable hands.
Alicia, Andreia, and the rest of the team are so good. They not only take such good care of our manic energy bundle, Smokey, but are always so communicative and professional. The stories and pictures they send about the dogs is extremely sweet and always a great part of the day. Best part of the day though is when Smokey comes home tired from all the rambunctious play. Cannot possibly recommend Alicia strongly enough.
These guys really care about integrating your dog into their walking group and they do in-walk training that helps the more nervous dog adjust. Andreia has done great work with Rusty and his general dog interaction has been much improved since the group walks began. Plus constant feedback and photos from the walkers. Thanks Alicia and crew.
Our little Leo loves his days with Alicia’s House of Paws and comes back well exercised and ready for a snooze 👌 Great service, lovely people and we are really delighted to have the regular dog walking service to help us out during a busy working week. Jolly goes to Alicia's House of Paws about once a week depending when my partner goes to the office. I love that she's able to play outdoors all day (although there is a summer House for cold days) meeting up with her doggy pals. Staff are always helpful and respond quickly on WhatsApp. We get photos, videos and a review of the day it's great to see what she's up to when I'm not around! Thanks Alicia and team!
Melissa looked after my wee boy Caspian during end stage heart failure. He needed multiple tablets and 2 injections daily and was not the easiest cat. Melissa managed with ease and Caspian really loved her visiting. Now she continues to look after my other kitties who equally enjoy her company and she is the first sitter I have found who I completely trust. I would highly recommend.
Fantastic doggy daycare. Cleo is a rescue dog that did not have a lot of confidence when first starting, but the staff have been brilliant with her and now she loves being there :)

My dog Nala has been coming here for around 2 yrs due to her anxiety of being left alone at home from a few months old. Alan and the team are great with her and she seems to love the staff here to. Nala goes to daycare when we're working and whenever we're going on holiday, shes here for the week or two. I noticed a few negative reviews implying that the pets aren't getting fed as the owners have been handed the food back when picking up their pets. Alan supplies meals of wet, dry or raw depending on what your pet is on and this is included in the price. I cant recommend this place highly enough and I know Nala is well looked after.
After being rushed into hospital Alan & his team looked after my Bordeux " Boss " . I can't thank them enough to the point he made regular trips ether for dog day care & or walks as loved it that much. He would walk away from us never look back & jump into Alan's van , now that speaks volumes!!! Alan & his staff always went above and beyond like Boss was there own I will use no other kennel, full stop !! Thank you so much for making Boss's last months the best , same again this speaks volumes!! Ali

Recently had our cat Burrito stay for 10 days at Nivensknowe while we were on holiday and couldn't recommend it more. They offer pick up and drop off and were happy to update with any questions we had whilst away. The price is also very reasonable. the council took my cat there due to family problems, he was only there a week and the last visit I saw him FINISHED, They only have a stove that doesn't even heat the hut completely, they don't put a pittance of sand in it so they can relieve themselves.I don't know what they will put in his food but my cat has died and supposedly his kidneys were failing, he stopped walking, he couldn't not even stand up, he vomited a strong yellow liquid as if from poisoning, may he rest in peace Robin 🕊️🤍, the service there is terrible, no one ever serves you and when they do so without interest, there are dogs crying non-stop and it is incredibly cold to the place where they have them. I HOPE I listened to the reviews and didn't leave my cat there. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR CREATURES THERE.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 i hope this place closes very soon ,if your animal has died here please contact me!
Left my dog for 3 nights. He got dropped of clean, happy and healthy. Also packed his food with him. When he got picked up he was covered in mud/dirt, all wet and stinky. Had to bath him as soon as he got home. Since he been home he haven't eaten his food and he haven't been his usual self. On top of that he been sick twice (definitely not a dog food he been fed there ) it's actually concerning how they are "looking after" the animals.
Sharon and Carly did an amazing job with my two silly cats. They loved playing with all the toys! They were very spoiled. Can’t thank them enough for giving me peace of mind while being away on holiday. I got texts and photos at every visit which I loved. I will definitely use them again in the future!
This was the first, but certainly not the last time we used Purrfect Paws to look after our boy. Sharon was prompt with communication and her “meet and greet” visit. The setting up of a WhatsApp group enabled Sharon and Carly to send daily updates and photos. This also showed us what a great time Loki had with his “Aunties” (especially the bag of treats and tricks!). He was well looked after and that’s what you want from a great pet sitting service. Highly recommended
These girls are amazing! So highly recommended. Both carly and Sharon managed to get my boys to play with toys and be so loving to them when they normally don't. Our wee gizmo is such a timid boy and by the end of the first week he was up giving the girls love which was so reassuring to both me and my partner. 1000/10 recommend for your fur-babies🥰
I was so nervous about leaving my cat for the first time but Sharon and her team were fab! They arranged a home visit for me to meet them and feel comfortable and of course for the cat to met them too. The team kept in constant contact with me on the run up to them looking after the cat and during too with lots of pictures and updates making sure I knew my cat had her medicine etc! They really made me feel at ease about leaving. I would highly recommend Sharon and her team, your animal is very well loved in the care of her ❤️

Purrfect Paws recently looked after my 3 cats when I was away for 10 days. Sharon and her Team were wonderful and I can't recommend them enough. By the end of the time I was completely confident that all the people who were looking out for my cats knew them all very well. My cats were so cared for, played with and petted and fed well which is saying something as 2 of my guys have complex feeding requirements and dodgy appetites. Our cat is very nervous around new people, but Sharon was very patient and understanding - we couldn’t have asked for more. This was our first time using a service like this but would definitely recommend. I especially loved the daily photos, a lovely touch!
I recently used Purrfect Paws Midlothian for my two cats. I have to say, from the moment I contacted Sharon, she was so professional and very helpful. Cherie came to meet us and our cats and discussed all the details. It definitely took all the stress and worry away as I just knew they were going to get well looked after. While we were away it was lovely to receive daily updates and pictures when Cherie visited. The cats were happy when we returned. We will definitely be using this service again and again.
I highly recommend Sharon and her team. Sharon looked after our cat, Jasmine, wonderfully; spending quality time with her each day and sending me updates after each visit, which allowed us to enjoy our time away without worry. Sharon has an excellent way with cats; Jasmine is usually very timid and nervous around other people but she took really well to Sharon. I will definitely be using Purrfect Paws whenever we go away.
What a great first experience using Purrfect Paws to look after our boy Socks while we were on holiday. We were updated daily with pictures of him having loads of fun with the ladies! He has been looked after so well and Heather, Holly and Sharon went above and beyond to make sure he was safe and sound. Ruth at PetStay is an absolute legend. Every time I’ve needed to book our toller in she’s linked us up with a wonderful carer (same family every time luckily, our dog loves them). She also linked a family members dog up with a carer a week before our wedding when there were no other options which saved the day. Fab service and can’t praise enough 😊
Could not recommend Petstay or Ruth highly enough. Immediately felt at ease during our first meeting with Ruth and Ann & Les. It is very obvious they love dogs and Max could sense that too as was not bothered when we left him. Regularly updated with photos & videos of his adventures. Max had a ball. He can't wait for his next visit in a few weeks.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Pet Stay said they could cover a weekend for me. Booked to meet a carer - I had to take a day annual leave because the carer’s availability was so limited. Pet Stay cancelled this at short notice. They then rebooked me with someone else. This was also then cancelled. Spent a month wasting time emailing back and forth in total. This seems like a really disorganised and unreliable company - I’d not trust them with my dog.

We use the doggy day care and the run free fields here and they are great. The staff are so lovely and make us feel really confident about leaving our pup with them for a half day or a full day at the daycare. The run free fields are great value for money and are a great way for us to get a few dogs together to have a run about and play. I've only used the dog house shop a few times but was very impressed by the range of stuff they have in there.
Tomorrow will be Harris's last day at Barklay Park and we will both be sorry to leave. My boy has been there from a baby puppy and he absolutely loves this place, so much so he never looks back at me when he goes in and he comes home shattered from all the fun he has had. The staff are professional and personal and I truly felt happy entrusting my puppy into their care. Thank you x
We can’t recommend Barklay Park highly enough! Our sprocker has been enjoying days at Barklay since he was a puppy and always has the best time. All the staff are kind and compassionate with both us and our dog. They have always been flexible and accommodating with any last minute requests, which makes juggling parenthood and work alongside dog ownership so much easier.
My cockapoo Bramble has been going to Barklay park for the last two years. They are absolutely brilliant with her and I wouldn’t be able to manage having her without them. They are extremely helpful, have an excellent pickup and drop off service, and have so much outdoor grassy space for the dogs. The staff are lovely, very kind and helpful.

A good secure field you can hire by the hour to let the dogs run free without worrying about them escaping. A tree trunk for interest, a paddling pool and tap for those hot days and a shed to shelter from the rain. All you need is your flask of tea.

I cannot sing Barklay Park's praises enough! We have used their Thank Puppy It's Friday service for our collie cross pup. She wasn't very confident around other dogs when she was small and BP were so attentive to ensure she socialised well but didn't get overwhelmed. We started with shorter sessions and built up to the full morning. She came back from every session happy and exhausted, and staff always gave us an update on how she'd been. The photos that BP post on Facebook were an amazing added bonus - they took this beautiful portrait of her last month! BP were absolutely instrumental in our puppy's socialisation and helping her develop into the happy, confident 6 month old pup that she is now! We will be back as soon as she's been spayed!
We've been to a few dog parks around Edinburgh and this is by far their favourite. Lots of space to run, tractor tires to play in and it's used enough that there's lots of interesting smells for them. They're only ready to leave after an hour because they're tired and happy.

I always go to Candidacasa when I go on holidays, I collected my 2 dogs today (Golden Retriever and Cocker Spaniel) and they were in great form after just being groomed. I think the price is fair and I'm always happy knowing they are being looked after well
Our extremely energetic Doberman loves visiting the kennel, loves staying over and he has a lot of playtime, so much so that he is tired and want to sleep at 6pm. Will recommend to anyone who needs to go somewhere and needs a dog loving family to watch over there furry child. 5star without a doubt. Love you all.
Staff at Candidacasa are fantastic! My dog goes to day boarding or overnights depending on my shifts at work and they are always accommodating and my dog loves it there. I have been taking my dog there for almost 5 years and I have never had an issue. Could not recommend more!
Our 3 year old boy, James, has just returned home after spending almost one month at Candidacasa. As usual he thoroughly enjoyed his holiday and he has been looked after so well! He is in fantastic condition physically and mentally. We cannot recommend Candida highly enough. Huge thanks to Jenny for her fantastic work!!
We had left our 3 huskys and 1 great dane with candidacasa kennels for 11 days and would definitely book them in here again. They have had a great time down there while we were on holiday. Staff are lovely and very helpful, friendly. Dogs have came back smelling lovely and looking very clean. Will definitely be using their service again and highly recommend the company to friends and family.
Have boarded our wee dog in here, a couple of times, and can truthfully say, she loves it. They take such good care of the dogs, she gets plenty of walks and stimulation, but most importantly, she gets lots of attention n hugs. Wont go anywhere else x
Have just collected my 20-month sprocker after her 10-day stay. She's looking great and is her normal 'exuberant' self. This is the first time that I have used Candida Casa Boarding Kennels (recommended by local vets.) Thank you for looking after her so well. Will see you again (hopefully,if you have space for her) the next time I come North (from Suffolk) to visit family.
I have used Candidacasa twice now for my 2 dogs. The staff are very professional and approachable. Both my dogs love it there, they always come out smelling lovely and always look happy and well fed. The place is spotless and dogs are well looked after. I have made advance bookings for them. Glad I found this place, I know I can trust that my babies are well looked after. My dog went here for 4 nights and was like a different Dog when I arrived for him , he was scared withdrawn and definitely not happy or comfortable. He was kept in a grubby cage outside for 4 days not a bit off exercise and a very unhappy chap . I called day 2 to be told he was doing great and had cuddles from staff , then on pick up day to be told he was not great and was gruelling at staff no one had been near him the whole stay !!! ( this would be completely out off character as he is so happy and friendly all the time .) The lady could no answer why I had been lied too .. Then owner called when I arrived home asking to talk .. I was fuming my dog had not been look after he was a nervous wreck when he came home peeing and edgy in house for a couple days . The owner was not happy I had been told the truth and continued not make up more rubbish .,it’s the fact they lied when I called as I had arrangements for himto be picked up if this was the case This place is not a safe place for your pets .
