We had a wonderful time staying at Karen and Keith's beautiful home. The house is very comfortable with an incredible view of Mt. Tam from the pool and hot tub. But the best part of the sit was Annabelle! She's sweet and loving and super smart. We really bonded with her. The location of the home in Kentfield is ideal for hiking on Mt. Tam (the trailheads start right down the road) and there are many great cafe and restaurant options down the hill from the house in Larkspur, San Anselmo, and Fairfax. Karen and Keith were wonderful hosts and all of the details about the home clearly laid out and explained. We'd sit again for them in a heartbeat.
Bella was such a sweetheart to look after. We fell in love with her immediately and had so much fun taking her for walks around Cambridge. Beth and Phil made us feel so welcome in their beautiful home leaving us with detailed instructions for Bella and excellent recommendations for sightseeing restaurants as well as a thoughtful welcome basket of wine and other goodies. Quite honestly, we were spoiled! What an exceptional pet sit for us. The only downside…we miss Bella!
This was an absolutely wonderful sit, partly due to the beautiful home and setting, but also thanks to Cathy's generosity and many thoughtful preparations. We had excellent communication beforehand, and Cathy was great at making last-minute readjustments when our arrival was delayed. We loved our time in her apartment: it had everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay (some fascinating books!), written information was detailed and helpful, and travelling around Singapore was straightforward (a bus stop is outside the main gate, and the MRT is within easy reach). Kasha was no trouble, being initially cautious and distant, but more relaxed and friendly as the weeks passed. We were sad to leave after our eight weeks, especially without meeting Cathy in person, as we felt really at home and fully trusted with looking after her apartment (fish and extraordinary plants included). It was an overwhelmingly positive experience, and we were so grateful for the opportunity.
Where to start? This sit was absolutely amazing! Brandi and Oli are wonderful people and we felt super welcome to their beautiful home from the first minute. Dexy and Leo were really easy to take care of. We enjoyed a lot walking Dexy through the heart of wonderful Seville and the slow mornings having coffee at the terrace with the company of Leo, who loved it there. They are just pure love, very calm and behaved all the time super well. Brandi and Oli's apartment is more than amazing. We felt incredibly comfortable there, with everything we needed, all decorated with an exquisite taste and design. The neighbourhood couldn't be better, beautiful, peaceful and with everything reachable by foot or bike. We truly loved it! Thanks once again Brandi and Oli for choosing us to take care of your sweet babies!!! We loved this experience and would be delighted to repeat it :)
Caz is a very warm, friendly and welcoming person. She was a joy to communicate with prior to and during the sit. Dawn and Jennifer are lovely cats. A little cautious of us at first, but soon both were happy to give and receive affection. We really enjoyed their company. Caz's house is exactly as described, and very comfortable. We were offered a choice of two double bedrooms, and were able to store our belongings in the third single bedroom. We enjoyed quirky details such as learning the names of the tv and lamps so we could ask Alexa to turn them on and off. The kitchen is large and well equipped. It was great to sit in the cute courtyard listening to the sounds of the river and birdsong. Its a very quiet and peaceful spot. Its an easy walk to ALDI for supplies, and only takes around 20 mins to wander into the heart of Holmfirth. We really enjoyed this sit and would love to return.
Petsitting for Emma and Clive and family was a joy, not least because of Bear, who melted our hearts the very moment we met him. Bear is a venerable old gentleman of a terrier with plush toy good looks and an adorable personality. Bear loves company and loves life. He takes great pleasure in his morning and afternoon constitutionals and is well behaved on the lead. He has his own routine - alerting you when he needed to go out first thing and obediently going out when asked at night, just before going to sleep in his basket. In between he likes to be at your side and loves to be snuggled next to you on the armchair. Bear’s home is beautiful. Highlights are the comfortable lounge with cosy log burner and the show stopping kitchen, which was a joy to cook in. Outside, the garden was simply stunning - a wonderful place to sit and chill, and dine al fresco should the weather allow. With lovely places to visit along the Thames - including recommendations for walks for Bear, we had a great time here - thank you so much Emma, Clive and Bear!
