Charlotte and Phil were very welcoming and they made us feel at home very quickly, they hosted us a night after the sit and gave us a ride to the train station, which was very kind and helpful, thanks for that :-). We didn't sit the Milou the dog, but she is funny and cute. The chickens are pretty easy taking care of and they provide lovely eggs occasionally. Barbara the cat is simply perfect!!! she is cute, lovable, playful and intelligent, she is just the perfect cat and we already really miss her. The house is nice and cozy and the location is very good if you like hiking/walking or cycling. Charlotte and Phil gave us a lot of tips for the area which was very helpful. Car isn't essential, since there are buses to most of the places, but of curse its a nice bonus in the area if you don't have much time. We would definitely like to sit here again if the opportunity will come in the future. Thank you Charlotte and Phil :-) send a huge hug to Barbara!!
What an amazing sit! Sven and Emil are so adorable! Both very easy to look after with their routine of feeding and cleaning the litterbox. Both have very unique and lovable characters and love to play, cuddle and are curious. They love to have someone around, which was great. While Sven loves to play a wee bit more, Emil is the singer, for sure. He starts to talk to you and loves to listen to music. I will miss them both! The appartement itsef is super cozy and right in the middle of lively Zurich. The kitchen well equipped and great to cook and enjoy your meals in this beautiful place. From the beginning until the end the communication with Lisa was super easy and friendly. I would highly recommend to sit for Lisa and Xavier. Thank you both for trusting me with your lovelies.
Barbara and Bob are both welcoming and easy to communicate with from our first online meet and greet to the final day. All information was clear in the guide. I took the opportunity to explore their hiking suggestions which turned out to be a wonderful accent to this sit. Sage, their sweet cat angel girl, was so delightful, snuggly and let you know when she needed to be out/in, fed, played with and snuggled. Missing her already! I would definitely come back given the chance and time!
Amazing sit! Jenee and Chip were fantastic and friendly hosts. They left very specific instructions for Malka and were in contact with me even while they were out of the country. Malka is one of the best pups I've cared for. She is a sweetheart who is very familiar with her routines. Plus, she knows a few adorable tricks! I had a blast hanging out with her and taking her on long walks through the city's beautiful parks. I had no problems walking her off leash either. I could count on her to be relaxed for the majority of the day or to start singing when it was time for a walk. :) The house is located in a safe suburban neighborhood of West Berkeley. If you don't mind crossing the bridge, downtown San Francisco is also not too far away. Plenty of food choices are nearby! Good spot for a single traveler that would love hanging out with an adventurous malamute!
Two months with Drake, the cat, were two months in heaven! He cuddles, he is fiercely independent, he is a dream of a cat, and he is so one hundred percent catlike. Jon and Trisha trusted us and entrusted us their loved ones, (including Atticus, the dog, recently for a second sit) and entrusted their beautiful, spacious house in a beautiful setting with a neighborhood that’s very friendly. Throw in a kitchen that is a chef’s kitchen of our dreams, the use of a car, and even a couple stays in their house on a lake in New Hampshire, and you have to pinch us: have we died and gone to heaven? We’re just saying, we’ve loved the exchange, loving pets for loving care, and it’s a totally beautiful addition to our world. Thanks Jon and Trisha for trusting and entrusting us. We’d love to do it again…(well, we already are!)…and again.
What a wonderful sit! Tony and Jan were absolutely gracious hosts and left me chili and cookies for my arrival, as well as amazing homemade trail mix for my drive home. Their home is absolutely amazing - best bathroom with heated floors, amazing movie room, nice shower and bathtub, etc. it was a great home to stay in for two weeks. There was a major cold spell while I was there and caused some water issues, but Tony was happy to work with me immediately and fixed the issue without a problem. The area of Wichita is really interesting. I came from the northeast and found a ton to do in the city and in the surrounding area. Tony and Jan were also great to talk to and I’m glad I met them. Finally, the pets! My favorite! Brownie is the cutest sweetest girl and loves to cuddle and hang. C1 and c2 are hilarious and absolute characters. It took them a while to warm up to me but By the end I had their trust. All in all, a pretty easy sit, and well worth the 20+ hour drive from philly. Missing the pets already and I hope to be able to sit for them again in the future! Thank you for being wonderful hosts!
