Chris and Emily are fantastic hosts. They welcomed us warmly into their home and ensured my son and I had everything we needed while taking care of their two adorable big pups. From the start, communication was clear. They informed us about Keeley and Fender's distinct personalities and made us aware of their unique quirks.

Keeley is the big sister. She's affectionate yet independent. She seemed to gravitate more towards my son, often flipping on her back for him to give her belly rubs. She loves to sit by the deck, looking out and reflecting on doggie life. She's also sensitive in her own way. At night, it's as if she remembers Mom and Dad aren't home, and she whimpered a bit, but within seconds she was fine. She's a little princess in the rain and refuses to play in the backyard with Fender when the raindrops are coming down. However, when it comes to walks, she joyfully goes out, rain or shine.

Fender is the little brother. He may appear mighty with his introductory bark, but as I got to know him, I realized he's just a big pup full of affection. He would jump on my bed and cuddle beside me. One night, while watching a tear-jerker of a movie, he noticed my tears and crawled up to me to make sure I was fine. The comical twist was that Fender ended up being the quiet one in the house, while Keeley was the vocal one when she wanted to go outside. Their playful behavior might appear a bit brusque to an outsider, but after observing their wrestling matches for a while, it's clear they each know their limits. In terms of walking, they are being trained to pull less on the leash and get less anxious around other dogs they encounter on their walks. Emily and Chris gave us great instructions on where to walk and how to handle them.

I think this sitting gig is ideal for a couple or an individual who enjoys a good walk as a workout like myself. I definitely wouldn't walk the two of them on my own since I'm not strong enough to handle them together, so on the days my son was away to walk one alongside me, I would just take each out individually. If a sitter intends to visit Boston for the day, definitely consider the 45-minute travel time each way, as well as the maximum five hours they can be left alone per interval, which leaves you with a little over three hours of exploring Boston. Chris and Emily are very accommodating, so make sure you discuss this beforehand. I'm confident they could get a local family member over on the days you choose to explore and wish to have more time outside. This gig is perfect for someone who works remotely and wishes to enjoy the local area.

Overall, Chris and Emily's home is a welcoming and warm environment, and their dogs are a joy to care for. I enjoyed getting to know these dynamic siblings who evidently love each other very much. They made us feel protected, loved, and part of their family. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Katie
We had a wonderful time looking after Katie and Peter's home and pets. We were warmly welcomed and they made sure we were comfortable with the house and animal routines. They were always available if we needed to ask any questions during our stay.

Their two dogs Daffodil and Mabel were affectionate and a lot of fun. They were a pleasure to walk, with good recall and they absolutely loved water and bounding around! Kusa was a lovely cat and enjoyed being warm and in enclosed spaces, especially being held. We spent many a cosy evening in front of the fire with all the animals. Feeding the chickens and sheep in the mornings was a lovely way to start the day, with the added bonus of fresh eggs for breakfast.

Katie and Peter's home was very comfortable and peaceful, we had ample space to work and relax. We slept very well during our stay. The area is on the doorstep to the New Forest with endless walks to choose from. Wellow has a Nisa shop for all your basics, as well as a great café and a couple of pubs. A range of supermarkets are accessible a 10 minute drive away.

We would not hesitate to recommend this house-sitting experience. Thank you again

Lena
Terrific to say the least. Lena's home was lovely, had all the nice things, central heating, several reception rooms, tv's in each - a beautiful pool and decking, sadly not for us in June. Very comfortable and nice. Mornington was also lovely and we enjoyed the variety of walks, including beaches. Lena kindly offered the use of her car for taking the dogs out and about.

Molly was a treasure, the grand duchess, mild mannered and a treat to care for. Easy to walk but her arthritis limits her.

Milo a typical puppy, rambunctious but a sweety too. After some more puppy schooling, I dare say he will be quite the chap. Very smart, quick to learn and not a mean/aggressive bone in his body. Just all legs but jumping was a problem as he is so big and growing.

We enjoyed our house sit and would recommend to anyone who has had experience with young dogs.

Lena and her family were very welcoming and considerate - we enjoyed our stay

I had a wonderful weekend in Basel. The location is perfect and very close to the city centre. Little Wally was a pleasure to look after and very easy going. Seb was a wonderful host and made me very welcome. I can recommend this sit to anyone wanting to explore this wonderful city.

Simon
I highly recommend house/pet sitting for Simon and Tizzy. Their home is a spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, warm and inviting place. Raggie - the star of the sit - is simply a pleasure to look after. Super playful & cute, well behaved on walks, in the local dog friendly pub & out on the paddleboard, and equally happy relaxing on the couch in the evenings. Communication with Simon & Tizzy was easy throughout the whole process. All in all a very enjoyable house/pet sit and I would love to return again should the opportunity come up.

Martha
Martha created such a relaxed, comfortable, welcoming environment and she and Chica and Isobel were some of the sweetest beings I have ever met. I absolutely loved my time at her home with them and truly didn’t want to leave. The guest room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Her mini-farm was private and serene yet it was conveniently close to the highway and town — for a quick trip to get gourmet coffee or some excellent Thai food. Black Mountain has gorgeous views at every turn, including from a tucked away and wonderful spot on Martha’s porch. Chica and Isobel and I relished sitting on the porch together for a relaxing afternoon. Plus there are plenty of hikes and walking areas close by. You will love Martha and her cuties and you will love this sit.
