Charlotte and Dreux were the loveliest hosts, they were not only very generous with their beautiful home in High Falls, but also have wonderful companions. The cats, Cottage Cheese and Banjo loved hanging out with me downstairs and were really easy when it came to taking their daily insulin. Walter is my new best friend :) he’s a real cuddler and very low maintenance for a little guy.
Alex and Gess were amazing to sit for. They are such a fun and loving couple and very gracious and generous too. On our arrival day, they picked us up from the bus station and gave us a tour of their community and surroundings, and even had a delicious lunch ready for us ,even though they were traveling that afternoon. They had a detailed welcome guide with clear and concise instructions. Their home was spectacular, with a sunkissed lanai that overlooks the lake, a pool table for evening hangouts and a complete workout room. Their neighborhood has an extensive bike/walking path and a recreation center with an wonderful pool. They even let us use their bikes during our stay....We felt like we were at a resort. Then there is the Mighty Thor....what a great dog. He's a liitle guy with a huge personality and is a lot of fun. He is easy to take care of and is very self sufficient. Alex and Gess were so kind to drive us to the train station for our departure and even packed us a hearty breakfast for our journey. They were so thoughtful and helpful We absolutely adore them both. If we lived in Jacksonville, we would hang out with them and Thor all the time. We would be happy to come back and take care of their home and their amazing Mr. Thor. Kevin and Taz
Our stay with Amber was wonderful! She's such a sweet girl and was easy to care for. We really enjoyed Mark and Carol's home and walking the surrounding trails with Amber (and Crow, who wandered over to visit and walk with us almost every evening). Mark and Carol were generous with their home and were great with communication, even with the time zone difference in Europe. All in all a great experience and we feel lucky to have spent time in this stunning area of New Mexico!
I had a wonderful time sitting for Ginevra and Giacomo in the beautiful city of Bolzano and I felt so blessed to share in the joy of caring for their 4 cats. The cats were absolutely no bother and it was a pleasure getting to know them and their individual personalities. They are indoor cats and therefore I did not have any concerns regarding their safely. The feeds are made up just once a day so this leaves plenty of time for cuddles with the cats and to explore and enjoy the city and all that it has to offer. I loved the wide open green spaces, the parks and paths along the river and the sunshine. I also had the opportunity to attend 2 Orchestral performances in the Auditorium and a Ballet in the Teatro Comunale. I have to admit I formed a special bond with Camilla, as she’s a cute and friendly little charmer and she and Salazar were great friends. Salazar is friendly and also very beautiful. Nike is the astute member of the quartet and whilst Joel is very much independent and not so keen to socialise with the other cats, nonetheless he enjoys a cuddle and is very agreeable. I loved all 4 of them and it was so lovely to meet and get to know Ginevra and Giacomo and it was my privilege to feel I had contributed to their break and relaxation from their very busy lives for a couple of weeks. Thank you both.
This was one of my favorite housesits ever. Amazing all-around. Kevin is pretty much the coolest, sweetest cat I have ever met. Independent, but playful. Silly and cuddly. Lisa is also the sweetest and went above and beyond to make sure that we were set up for a great sit. Her apartment is adorable, has lots of character, gorgeous natural light, 70s charm and is in the BEST area of Santa Monica. In walking distance of so many great shops, restaurants and activities. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Honestly can't wait until the next time!
