They were very responsive in communicating. Diana in particular bonded quickly with our little poodle who can be aloof. They showed up a day early to get to know the dogs and layout of the home which we appreciated. We came home to a clean house. They sent pictures daily of Buddy which we appreciated. However on our practice walk where Simon was walking our lab puppy, he was very unsteady on his feet and shared that he could not handle walking him. We could clearly see his inability to handle our 60 lb lab. As a result, we had to scramble at the final hour to board our puppy - 15 minutes before the boarding facility closed, and the evening before our flight. It ended up costing us several hundred dollars but at least our dog was safe and taken care of. When we asked Diana to compensate us for some of these costs, they refused. We found that they misrepresented their capacity to handle our larger dog.
Paige was fantastic. Knowledgeable and caring about the pets. Excellent communication. She even was able to coax our normally reclusive cat out of hiding and they were besties by the time we returned. Our house was tidier than when we left it. All in all, a wonderful Housesitter.
I had a really lovely time in Louise’s beautiful house - the grounds, lake and formal gardens are amazing to explore. Louise gave me very comprehensive info, both in the guide and when I arrived the evening before. She also very kindly drove me to the supermarket to get some groceries (I came by bike) and cooked me a delicious dinner. Tigs took a while to warm up to me but we enjoyed some strokes and tickles when he came around!
