We and our dog Lola have had the joy of Rebecca and Matt staying at our home for 3 weeks to care for Lola and our home - they are A+ on all fronts. We received frequent updates and photos of Lola and interactions they were having that left us both laughing and confident all was going well. They went above and beyond being sure that Lola’s routine was what she was used to with lots of snuggles, play time and walks, when we returned she interacted with all of us in the same way; she clearly considers them now family 😊 Our home was spotless, special meals were ready for us after our long flights, and all felt very easy and comfortable. Most of all they are interesting, kind, and caring people whom we are very happy to now know.
This was one of my all-time favorite sits. Fiona is lovely, caring and a delight to know. She picked me up from the train station and took me to Tesco, on the way home. I thought, for sure I'd be able to buy groceries on my own, but she insisted on stopping and I was so grateful! She had also picked up a few items for me prior to my arrival and bought me fresh flowers that I enjoyed every day for the next ten days. She has an angel of a dog, Dexter. He's well-trained, comes when he is called, sits for treats, is great on and off the lead in the woods and on the beach, he just wants to please. I had fun throwing the ball with him on the beach. What a darling little companion. The house is beautiful, clean and very comfortable, The guest room has a queen-size bed (US sizes) and blackout shades. She left plenty of closet space and hangers and lots of room in the refrigerator. Where she lives is the best of both worlds, you can walk to the beach and take the bus into Edinburgh. The bus stop is right across the street from her house. I loved Edinburgh! The owner, the house and the sweet, sweet dog are a winning combination. I would love to go back one day. To future applicants, you will be very lucky, indeed, to be chosen for this sit. Thank you for everything, Fiona! x
We absolutely loved looking after Maisie, she was an absolute joy and we really miss her! Haidee's place is great, such a lovely and peaceful spot. The house is so warm and cozy and looks out onto beautiful views. There are great walks around the area, and Grantham is only a short drive away. It has also been a pleasure connecting with Haidee who is lovely, her communication was great throughout. Would highly recommend this sit and we hope to be back again :)
I was sooooo lucky to get to spend two weeks with Max, Anna and Boris! These furry ones are a true pleasure to be around, to cuddle and have little conversations about food with (Anna :)). I loved getting to discover each of their personalities as the days went on and they started to feel safe and relaxed around me. The house is really nice, surrounded by beautiful nature and there are tons of treks for hiking in the area with a lovely mix of open fields and woods. I enjoyed very much connecting with Bart, who is very open and friendly. Communication was great, and I felt I could ask any questions and reach out before and during the sit. Thank you and sending love to the whole family! :)
Cindy and Robert welcomed us warmly into their beautiful home and took us out for an enjoyable pub meal as we were overnighting before their early departure. We had a lovely evening with them with plenty of time to meet the pets and go through all their routines. The animals are all delightful! Boris the dog is so funny and great company- he made us laugh a lot! And Oscar is a really beautiful, majestic cat. He's really cuddly and loves being stroked. And we always enjoy having a few hens around too! The house is spacious, warm and comfortable and very peaceful, with walks from the doorstep. We felt relaxed and at home there. Communication with Cindy was easy and uncomplicated and everything went very smoothly. Cindy and Robert are excellent hosts and we highly recommend this Sit. We'd be happy to be invited back! 😊
I had a wonderful time sitting George and Esme. I had an initial video call with Clare to talk everything over and “meet” which was lovely and very helpful. In addition, Clare wrote some detailed notes for me to cover everything you would need to know about George and Esme, the house, and even drew a little map of the location 😊 The house is lovely and neat, with space in the wardrobe and drawer for your stuff. It’s an 10-12 minute walk to Hertford North, and about 15 minutes to the town centre. George and Esme are super sweet cats and it was an absolute pleasure to be in their company. Esme is definitely the more chatty one, and more confident from first meeting you. It was very cute to have Esme stay on the bed with me as well! George quickly warms up to you as well, and starts to become more vocal. Both of them spend time outside during the day, and they are no trouble at all when they’re in the house. I got to meet Clare and Mike before leaving and had a lovely chat. They are very friendly people, easy to chat to and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend!
