This was actually my favourite sit so far as I totally fell in love with little Ralph and Daisy. They are so sweet, easy to look after and they would join you on the sofa as soon as you sit down. Ralph seems to have a wristwatch as he knows exactly what time meal/snack times are and little Daisy is just such a gentle little soul. The location is perfect, very convenient to get to by public transport with just a 20 minute train ride from London and the high street is close by with plenty of options for shopping etc. There's also a big common to walk Ralph and Daisy and it was no problem at all taking both of them for a walk together. The house is beautiful and you have everything you need. Communication with Sue and Chris was easy and it was also lovely to meet them both to go over things before they left and also when they got back. I would be more than happy to look after Ralph and Daisy again if the opportunity arises.
Mango is a wonderful cat to look after. He is really affectionate and is really easy to deal with. The flat itself is lovely and in a great location; all amenities you could wish for are in an easy walking distance and there are excellent transport links to other parts of London. Toni kept in good contact and was easy to get hold of when I had to take Mango to the vet. A fantastic house sit which I would highly recommend.
We had a super time with Leo, he's a cute cat who loves company, likes to chase and pounce on his treats, comes to be brushed when called and sits for his food. His litter is super easy as is feeding. Larissa is a welcoming host, fully explaining everthing about the home and cat. She has a lovely apartment, convenient for the airport, easy parking. We loved our stay and would happily return.
Janine and Jimmy have a wonderful sapcious home in a quiet neighborhood that was a fun little place to explore. Jimmy has such a relaxed and friendly personality and we got on well from the get go. He likes to do his own thing and was never any hassle during the stay. Janine and her family were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. I had plenty of quiet space to work and cute company from Jimmy in the evenings. It was a pleasure to sit for them and I'm sure I will see Jimmy again in the future.
We have just completed our wonderful housesit for Lucy and her 4 kitties. Each cat had their own personalities, (of course, as all cats do). Two of the kitties were more accepting and affectionate with us within a day or two while the other two kitties were more standoffish, though 3 of them (3 out of 4) ended up cuddling up to us in bed and all sought out our attention and affection before the housesit was over. Apart from having to gather them for the vet one day (Lucy had prearranged this vet visit), they eventually forgave us for those stressful moments, and clearly warmed up to us. Lucy kindly had picked us up at the hotel where we were staying (as we had come 2 days before our housesit began) and drove us around the nearby communities, pointing out essentials like the grocery stores, shopping sites, and other points of interest. She had prepared a delicious meal for us upon our arrival. Jeffrey kindly brought us back to the airport one day after they had arrived back from their vacation, giving us time to chat and just enjoy sharing each other's company. They are both laid back and thoroughly enjoyable. Housesitting for them was pure delight. Their home is lovely; their property is fairly isolated and definitely quiet-a delightful respite from the business of the nearby cities, including Medellin. The views from the house, in the midst of the Colombian Andes, is breathtaking! And, of course, the cats kept us company as we gained their friendship. They graciously allowed us use of their car, which was so appreciated! We hope to see them again, as they already feel like long cherished friends. Thank you, Lucy and Jeffrey, for entrusting us into your lovely home and taking care of the adorable feline family.
The pictures of Kristen's home just dosesn't do it justice. It is beautiful, well fitted out, and the view from their large windows of the water and mountains beyond are even better. Her two small dogs are easy care, excellent on walks, and so sweet, they warmed up to us immediately. They are couch-cuddler supremes. Kristen set out her expectations clearly and communications were excellent. You will want to sit here. Highly recommend!
