We had a great sit over New Year looking after Colin and Kevin in Lisa's lovely home.
Colin and Kevin are brothers and such different characters - but both absolutely adorable! Colin is the more adventurous one, always out and about, sometimes bringing "gifts" home and playing with his brother. Kevin is more stay at home and very happy to sit on your lap or at your feet and loves a bit of attention. The two are lovely together - playing and grooming each other which was so sweet!
Lisa's home is lovely - it had everything we needed and was in the old town area which is full of character properties and very quiet (we loved listening to the owls in the garden), yet only a 10 minute walk into town, (it is uphill on the way back!)
There is plenty to do in the area, with some lovely walks straight from the cottage.
Lisa's communication prior to the sit gave us everything we needed to know and she was very welcoming when we arrived.
We would certainly recommend this sit to anyone.

Yvs and Katja think of everything you need to ensure both you and their lovely pets have a wonderful housesitting experience. While their clean, well-furnished and well-maintained house is located in a rustic French province with many medieval villages, hiking paths and other fantastic attractions, what made our house sit truly memorable where the pets and their owners. The cats, while initially shy (like all cats), they warm up to you in a few days (one of the two is very cuddly). The dogs are very, very sweet. They are also well-trained and will actually help you out finding your way around the house. We do recommend having experience in handling high-energy canines - Canelle is very enthusiastic at times, which can be a bit overwhelming if you're not used to it. Yves and Katja themselves are very warm and welcoming people, who gladly showed us how everything works, where the best spots in the area are for various activities, and more. They did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible, always responding swiftly if needed. If you would like to experience the French country-side with sweet people and pets, I highly recommend this sit!

Julie
After reading our profile and reviews on THS, Julie reached out to us and asked if we could care for her rescue dog Wally for a few days. To this point we had done close to 30 house/pet sits but always have cared primarily for cats, but after speaking by phone with Julie we agreed to visit her and Wally in nearby Lyme, NH. We were immediately taken with how adorable and tame Wally was and after spending some time with him and getting a house tour we agreed to the sit. It couldn't have worked out better. Wally was a joy to be with, he was social and always with us throughout the home, and we in turn thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being with him. Their home was charming and comfortable and the surrounding area fun to explore. In terms of hands on care Wally was low key and well trained - we accompanied him to the yard and after "doing his business" he would follow us back in. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this sit!

We enjoyed our housesit at Robert's place. The home was beautiful, comfortable and in a great location for us. The best part was the loveable dogs. Suzy and Keagan are the cutest cuddly sweethearts and Lois was also sweet, playful and fun! Robert made us feel welcome in his home and was quick to respond to any questions we had.
