From the moment we arrived, Luke and Louisa were very welcoming and made us feel completely at home, inviting us to stay the night before they left. Their two dogs (Toffie and Wilson) were very easy to love and care for. The house is warm and comfortable and has easy access to small local shops and a bus service (or easy but longer walk) to a larger shopping area. We highly recommend Luke and Louisa as home owners.
Munchkin is such a sweetheart, I'm missing his purring and cuddles on my lap already! The house was very comfortable, with great WiFi and two offices to work from. Ankie and Eric have a nice library, so it was easy to find a book to relax with on the coach. Communication before, during and after the sit was great and the house was spotless when I arrived, which made me feel very welcome. Thank you Eric and Ankie, looking after Munckin was an absolute pleasure. Give him lots of cuddles from me!
Wow, what a wonderful setting, house, fabulous host, Marilyn, and the dear, dear Gracie herself. I can't say enough about how calm, well-trained, and sweet this lovely pup is. We bonded like crazy. The happy neighborhood, the friendly neighbors, the beach, the woods and fields, the gorgeous walks...just an EXCELLENT sit. Thank you so much, Marilyn!
Katja and Yves were extremely welcoming and made us immediately feel at home in their company. Their home was immaculate and they were both highly organized. Bubbels and Canelle are a delight to walk and great sofa companions. Two very loving dogs. Kamiel, the cat, was shy but would grace us with his presence daily. We enjoyed the country walks and visits to the neighbouring villages and towns. We were provided with lots of information on local walks and places of interest. Their warmth and generosity was exceptional. Katja and Yves were a delight to meet and without hesitation we can highly recommend this stay in the countryside. Superb stay and deserves 6 stars.
Alison and Mike are a lovely friendly couple who welcomed us into their spacious home. Their dogs Molly and Milou were a pleasure to spend time with and very easy to care for. We had a great week in Ruffec and enjoyed time in the garden and in the pool when the sun came out. Highly recommend.
Kari was great to chat with prior to our visit. Ollie is a very sweet old dog. She was very easy to walk and very mellow indoor behavior. The neighborhood was fabulous. It was a joy walking Ollie around the beautiful area. Nice shops and restaurants nearby and really easy getting around town. Kari has an amazing porch to sit and watch the world go by and her backyard was a lovely retreat.
