Carlos and his team were so helpful with my young dogs! He took them in for board and train and now they actually have manners! Who knew. He then showed me how to handle them properly before sending us on our way. Life has been so much easier owning these dogs since Ruffin it helped bring us all on the same page. I take them back reguarly for daycare with Ruffin it now.

Fantastic work done with my Doberman puppy! He was boarded at the facility for a few weeks and learned basic and advanced obedience and on and off leash manners with the e-collar. I was beyond happy with the results and the customer service. My puppy was well taken care of and I received progress reports and pictures/videos often. The training sessions with me were very instructive and I took my dog home feeling confident in our new skills.

Carlos is AH-mazingg. My boy Mako was with him for 4 weeks due to his behavior modification. I told Carlos my concerns with Mako and he put Mako in uncomfortable spaces to help him achieve confidence. Carlos taught me how to use the tools Mako was sent home with and has shown me to be more confident in my training. I don’t avoid the barking neighbors anymore, I instead use these environments to train. I learned so much that I used the same training on my other dog, both have been doing great! Mako is very well behaved off leash, he stays in his “place”, and no longer jumps on me when I get home from work. Carlos is worth the investment and anyone seeking for help in dog training, stop looking cause he’s your guy.

We brought to Carlos a very hard headed and stubborn Akita rescue. She had been at the pound for over 8months after she was adopted and returned because she was a handful. There was nothing flowery about our Daisy girl when we brought her in. When we took her home though… she blossomed into who she was meant to be. She is affectionate and relaxed. She doesn’t react to other dogs and has found comfort in her people. I honestly feel he saved her life and changed ours.

Our GSD loves and trusts Carlos, and through his training program and now regular boarding, has become the best, most confident version of himself. This is the only facility / service we trust when we go out of town and we highly recommend it!

Carlos took in my stubborn husky and turned him into a responsive, attentive partner. He not only trained my boy he also helped train me on better ways to communicate with him. Can't recommend enough!

We brought our puppy to a two week board and train, and we were beyond satisfied with how it went. They made sure we were happy with the services and answered all of our questions. Our puppy went into the services lacking obedience and confidence, and she came out a completely different dog. We still remain in contact when we need our puppy boarded because we know we can trust them. If you’re in need of a trainer or dog boarding, this is the place!

Carlos trained both our dogs and we are extremely happy with the results! His attention to detail, professionalism, flexibility working through issues, and love of animals made the experience worth every penny. Highly recommend his services - we’ve sent many friends and family members his way!

The best place to take your dog. The owner has been our go to trainer for years, taking on our pack of huskies and turning them into off leash trained dogs (not easy with that breed). He's our go to for training and boarding and the only person we trust with our dogs. Excellent facility and you know they care because they're meticulous when it comes to keeping it clean and safe for your pets.

My fur baby is always so excited to go to daycare and leaves at the end of the day tired and happy. The report cards always brighten my day. The staff is always very friendly and loving towards my pup. We love coddled critters!

I recently moved to the NSL area from St.George. My pup Rocco has always been a doggie daycare boy. Coddled critters staff, facility and space is exceptional for him. I love the reports they send. It’s an amazing place!! I’d give it more than 5 ⭐️ we love CC thank you!!!!

My dog Dakota LOVES to visit Coddled Critters. I have done long weekends, weeks at a time, and even for a month while I recovered from surgery. She's well taken care of and loved by the entire staff. She's always healthy and happy when I pick her up. I highly recommend boarding your dog or cat. The daycare is an amazing way to find out how well they will handle their stay.

I love coddled critters. After the pandemic I feel like my dog and I both developed some form of separation anxiety. The webcams helps me check in on my dog and feel more secure, and they take pictures and send report cards for your pet that are super sweet and charming. They seem to really love my pup and I appreciate it so much.

Our Corgi, Waffles, loves his days at Coddled Critters! The staff is always great to provide information about how he behaved each day. We have also used their grooming services and they always do a fabulous job!

Our little girl, Murphy loves her time at Coddled Critters. The staff is wonderful and my kids enjoy receiving the report cards/pictures when we’re away. I never worry when she’s in their care.

We have been using Coddled Critters for long term boarding for about four years and love them! Our 6 pound dog is genuinely cared for by the staff and he comes home happy and tired. We always get a bath for our dog at the end of the stay and he is fresh and clean - they do such a great job. I also appreciate the convenience of being able to get a kennel cough vaccination at the time of boarding. I highly recommend this business to anyone seeking any of their services- they really care!

Staff is great and so nice. I can tell my pup is loved and cared for. Really appreciate being able to watch the cameras whenever I want to watch my new puppy play. Being able to leave him with them while we work is a great relief and he loves going to school every morning. Hoagie tries so hard to leap into the car so we can get there as fast as possible, even though he is still too small to make it in. I have worked in a boarding facility before and can happily say they have surpassed expectations. He has plenty of space to play and lots of friends to play with and learn manners from. It's great to see him gain confidence and character. 5 stars for Coddled Critters.

Our dog loves going to coddled critters! He gets so excited when we start filling up his food bags, as he knows that means he is headed off to play with his furry friends and the wonderful staff. When we get there he pulls on his leash dragging us behind to get inside. The staff here are very attentive, kind and love the dogs. We highly recommend coddled critters to anyone who needs pet boarding!

I’m very impressed with backyard boarding! I have an 11 month old puppy and had a planned vacation. I was super nervous to leave him for a week, but I was very impressed with the care he got! It was great knowing I could text as many times as needed to check in on my dog. Backyard hoarding did an amazing job taking care of my Freddy boy! He can home super happy! I will for sure use them again for my next trip.

We’ve been taking our dog here for over a year and love it! We just got a puppy and have been bringing him, they’re doing a great job at helping him adjust, feel comfortable and make friends. I’ve tried multiple other dog daycares and this one is by far the best! I would highly highly suggest this place over Coddled Critters, which is also in the NSL area.

I just started using Backyard for my two dogs, we had a dog daycare we loved back in Oklahoma and tried a few when we moved back to Utah and didn’t quite find a fit until now! My older pup is a very nervous girl and i get nervous trying a new place, I told the team and they were so kind and patient with her introducing her to the other dogs. I really appreciate them taking the time for her! Also the Dog after dark service is much appreciated!!

Beware, the dog that did this to my dog is still allowed at this facility. I had been taking my two dogs to doggy daycare here for a couple of months, however one weekend, while I was at a wedding I got a call that my dog had been attacked and needed to be taken to the emergency vet. My dog needed two layers of stitched under this right front leg and needed a Penrose drain placed in his back because the bite was that deep. The vet thinks the dog bit so deep she knicked a nerve and now he has been limping since the incident. It has been almost three weeks since this incident and were still on antibiotics and I am cleaning his wounds multiple times a day because of the excessive amount of bloody drainage. My fiancé has gone into the facility to get the footage of the incident that they apparently have. However we have still not got access to this said "footage". They also said that since they do not believe this dog "intended to hurt" my dog, that they "gave this dog a warning" as is still allowed to come back to this facility. I am just praying that another dog doesn't have to go through what my sweet boy has gone through because of this dog. It really should be a one and done rule. I won't be taking my dogs back here.

My dog LOVES IT here!!! It is the very first place that I’ve taken him where he drags me to the door instead of back to the car. The staff is kind and caring. I’m so happy we found it.

I can't say enough good things about this place!! My dog is an older girl and they do a fantastic job of accommodating her! They put her with the smaller dogs because they know that she doesn't like when other big dogs are in her face! I've had to go on quite a few week long trips and I have never once second guessed her care. They send me pictures whenever I ask for them and make me feel so sure that she is happy and living her best life! They remember her name when we walk in and she doesn't even hesitate to run through the door! My old girl, Ginger absolutely loves it here and I would never go anywhere else!

I'm excited to have found such a clean, safe, and fun environment to bring my dog Pete to for our family's daycare and boarding needs. It's obvious that the employees enjoy what they do and love the pets they take care of! I recommend them 100%!

I used Backyard Dogcare for about 2 months while staying in Salt Lake City and could not have been happier with the experience. CJ sprinted to the door every time we went there and came home happy and tired. I used them for daycare and boarding and highly recommend them for both. When I am back in SLC I will definitely be using them again.

I dropped my last dog daycare provider after 7 years due to recurrent neglect and abuse of my pups so I interviewed several dog daycares before entrusting them with my dogs. I have absolutely loved the friendly staff here. It’s amazing how far simple customer service can go and to top it off they are so in tune with my dogs. I text them for updates and they share videos, I’ve asked them to watch for specific character items I’m working on and they HELP. It’s so amazing. I left already purchased day passes at that last place and am so sad I waited so long to switch. I’m grateful for the staff here. <3

Megan was so incredible and took such great care of our dog while we were away! I think our dog is going to be disappointed we’re home since he had so much fun while we were gone.

We just got home from today. In the past, we have managed our dogs in various ways...sometimes Lauryn has taken Harli and Bear, but she and Brad were not an option this year. BUT...she did, thru one of her friends, connect us with Megan Smock and Happy Hearts Home and Pet Sitting. Megan has been awesome. Hazel and Harli have been able to stay home where they are comfortable and happy. Megan has been coming to walk, play and spend time (60 minutes) twice during the day and then spending the night. They stayed on their regular schedule in their space. When we got home today they were certainly glad to see us but they were not stressed or crazy like they have been in the past with the many different options we have tried. Megan, Happy Hearts Home and Pet Sitting certainly gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from Harli, Hazel and the rest of the Tometich family!

Would 100 percent recommend! Megan visited our cat twice a day. She was very communicative and kept us updated on how our cat was doing. We got pictures and videos throughout the time we were gone. She blew our expectations out of the water! Thank you to the team at Happy Hearts pet care!

Megan was great with our pets who can be suspicious of new people. They warmed up to her (and the treats) very quickly. She was also very professional in sticking to the schedule we requested. I was very pleased with the service!

Megan watched my 3 babies for a week while we were out of town. She did an amazing job as I know puppies can be difficult. Every visit and sleepover she would send a picture of each of my pets along with an update on how everyone is doing. My senior dog got sick and Megan did such a great job cleaning up her accidents, I wouldn’t have even known they had happened if she didn’t tell me about it. I 5/5 recommend this amazing, professional business to watch and take care of your pets while you’re gone. I will forever be a loyal customer of Megan’s.

Megan is amazing! I recently moved back to Utah and needed a pet sitter for Thanksgiving on short notice for my two cats and hamster. I was gone for 4 days and Megan came to meet me and the animals prior to me leaving. She was great with their feeding/cleaning instructions and gave me updates of her visit with them through the app. I’m so glad I found her and she allowed me to have a relaxing worry-free trip. Highly recommend!

Megan watched our 3 kitties while we were out of town and she did a great job of playing with them and making sure they have everything they need!

We had a boarding place lined up for our Great Danes, but one of them went into heat three days before we were supposed to leave on vacation, so had to make other arrangements. Super last minute, Megan was able to fit us in! She met the dogs before even, and sent us updates after ever visit she made. The dogs loved her, and them being able to stay in their own house while we were gone was the best. And to boot, she charges less for our two dogs than the boarding place does. 10/10 recommend her, and will definitely be using her again in the future!

When I needed help taking care of my puppy, after returning to work, Megan came highly recommended, and she didn't disappoint! Such an amazing person with a positive attitude and a great work ethic. She loves animals, and my dog just loves her. Megan was ALWAYS on-time and would send me an update and a picture of her time with Jax. I would recommend Megan to anyone that loves their pet.

My dog Thor and cat LC (Cuddles) love the folks at Sugar House Pets. Thor has been doing training with Tabitha and is a whole new dog, and LC just appreciates knowing she’s special. I had to be gone for almost two weeks and was worried about leaving them and SHP made the whole thing feel much less stressful. I love that they send several pictures and a little update with each visit. It goes a long way to ease one’s mind! Highly recommend them!!

Sugarhouse pets was a lifesaver for me and my dog during my work contract in Salt Lake. They took my pup out for a walk and potty, administered her medications, and gave her all the pets and love. They update you on the visit and send the cutest pictures as well. I am so thankful sugarhouse pets was able to help me and my dog while I was at work.

I have used Sugarhouse Pets to walk my dog and they have been exceptional! Kiana and Tabitha are punctual, text when they arrive to pick up and drop off my dog. Sugarhouse Pets recently cared for my two dogs and cat for two days while I was out of town. I was pretty anxious about leaving my dogs for the first time home alone, but having the meet and greet beforehand, receiving the detailed updates about how they were doing, and what their visits were like made me feel so much better. All of the pictures I received while I was gone reassured me that my dogs were having a good time and were being well taken care of. I was expecting my dogs to be anxious when I came home due to the change in their routine, but they were just tired from playing with the sitters and happy to see me. I am super happy with the experience and Sugarhouse Pets will definitely be my go-to in the future!

I had Sugar House Pets take care of my cat when I went on a two-week vacation out of the country. They were very responsible to be there daily. They were great about following the instructions I left for my cat. They kept me notified with daily text as to what was happening with my cat. My cat is shy and won’t go to anyone. They made an effort to find her in the house and send me a pic of her every day, so I knew she’s was fine. That made me feel very good about her care. They were also very responsible with the security of my home. I recommend them to anyone who needs pet care. I will use them again. It’s a good feeling to know your pet is in good hands when your out of town.

I'm very picky on who I trust to take care of my Newfie Tate but Sugar House Pets has been amazing with him! They are skilled, responsive to questions, always on time, and keep me updated on everything that happens when it comes to taking care of my dog. I highly recommend!

My puppy Maisey has been going to daycare and doing some training at Liberty Bark. They take great care of her and her confidence around other dogs is getting better. I highly recommend this place! I love to see the photos they send of her with their pupdates! The staff is friendly and answers my questions. I really like their trainer Benny! The owner is really kind too. Maisey will continue to go here! The only thing I don't like is the red dirt they use. My dog is mostly white and comes home so stained. 🙃

Specter had such a good time here. He made so many friends specifically an Irish wolfhound and a bully breed looking dog along with a reddish dog. I was in Utah for national guard training I am very happy with them and the fact my dog had an amazing time

Fantastic day care and boarding! One of the best we’ve ever used. We moved our dogs from City Pet Club after our lab was bitten and they could not explain how or why, refused to talk to us regarding the possibility of a refund or paying at least part of the vet bill and literally did not return our calls. Night and day difference. Liberty Bark keeps you updated with photos, communicates with texts, and (most importantly) love the dogs as if they are their own. The structured day care is amazing and the option to have them trained while there during the day is amazingly affordable and so helpful. Love them!

I’ve boarded my dog here four times over the past 10 months. Twice were weekend trips and twice were 5+ days. She requires extra care as she can show reactivity with people and other dogs. The staff shows expertise in handling tricky dogs. They send daily photos included in the cost of boarding. They provide detailed progress reports if you pay the extra fee for them as well. My dog gets the opportunity to socialize in a safe environment and she comes back to me happy and tired. I so appreciate the care the staff provides for me to have peace of mind while out of town.

What an amazing place with amazing staff! We were having trouble finding a place to board our boxers for vacation (our sweet girl is not always so sociable with other dogs) and they graciously took them with no fuss. We got regular updates on their progress, and prompt communication about even the most minor issues that came up. We could tell when we picked them up that they were not starved for love or attention! We will definitely be taking them back for training and socialization!

Liberty Bark is without a doubt the best dog hotel I’ve ever taken my dog to! For nearly 3 years I struggled bringing my 100+ lb pitbull-mix around other dogs and would have to have him isolated from other dogs while at dog hotels when I left town. I decided to give Liberty bark a try and they have worked with him, helping him so much with his reactivity to other dogs and leash pulling. They know what they are doing and I can’t thank them enough for taking such amazing care my dog! I highly recommend them for overnight stays, daycare and training, especially if you have a dog who needs some extra attention / work.

I cannot recommend Liberty Bark enough! The staff there are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I have a 5 month old labradoodle pup who is tons of energy and in the process of learning good manners. They are all extremely patient with her. They also seem to care about her and the other dogs as if they are their own! I feel great dropping Scout off while I work during the week. I always get updates and pictures which is the highlight of my day! Thanks Liberty Bark! Yall rock.

I recently started using Liberty Bark for doggy daycare. It has been such a great experience for me and my dog. The staff are super awesome and caring. I love the pawgress reports and report cards. I have used other dog sitters in the Salt Lake area and non have been this great.

I’ve been terribly disappointed with Liberty Bark. They do not have cameras which is not inherently wrong, but they lack transparency, never inviting clients into the facility. You drop your dog off at the door. On several occasions, I was unable to reach someone via phone call (during business hours) while my dog was in their care. I was forced to use a text system, and no one would speak to me. Once was after they shared a photo of my dog where she was foaming at the mouth, and I called to check on her. I paid extra for report cards and received one photo each day without notes about how she was doing. Most notably, my dog hunkers to the ground and refuses to go inside without being carried. She is clearly fearful. When I’ve used other daycare and boarding services, she is excited to go in and never scared. Something feels very off about this facility, and I do not recommend it.

My very wonderful very covid puppy was given time to spend at Liberty Bark to mentally prep for a 9 day boarding experience. The amazing owner Liz and i came up with a plan that would help acclimate him to the experience. He feel in love with Liberty bark after the first minute. Now we have to spell it out to to avoid all the happy tippy taps. I get daily pup dates and live for every single one. He is learning good dog pack behaviors and when your baby is 100 pounds he needs to learn these skills. Could not speak higher even if i tried. They are all so wonderful.

I’m so happy I found Jackie! She came and took care of our kitty, Chester, in home. I was very grateful having someone to keep an eye on everything. She is very trustworthy and I will be working with her in the future. She also takes lots of photos!

Jackie cares for her guests like her own. Jackie is also a volunteer with local rescues in area. I'd highly recommend Jackie as my babies sitter.

We have used Jackie’s Pet service for a few years now. She truly loves our dog and takes excellent care of him whenever we go on vacations. We never have to worry about our fur baby. I found Jackie on Nextdoor and I couldn’t be happier! Jackie is so patient and you can tell she truly loves dogs and what she does. She sent me pictures everyday and updated me on how my dogs were doing while they stayed with her. She also checked in after they were back home to see how my dogs were doing(which has never happened to me before). Jackie is an amazing pet sitter and I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat. We feel so lucky to have found her.

Our dog Curry loves going to Jackie’s to stay for a few days. He loves playing with Gunner and Kimber. We appreciate that we can have the knowledge and confidence that our pup is taken care of. Jackie gave us good advice on some dietary improvements we could make for Curry and it really helped a lot! Excellent service all around and a great experience for your dog.

I cannot recommend Jackie highly enough! I never worry about my pup when she is with Jackie - she loves her time there and she is treated so well. Good food, long walks, and play time with her favorites, Gunner and Kimber (2 of the best and most well-behaved dogs around). She also sends photos and videos all day long to help you with your separation anxiety (yep, your separation anxiety). Your pup will quickly learn they are in a safe and happy environment and will forget all about you. Well, maybe not completely.. but I guarantee your puppy won’t miss you too much while they’re at Jackie’s. Jackie knows what she is doing and has every dog’s best interest at heart, which makes her the perfect person with which to entrust your dog(s) well-being.

I boarded my 13 year old dog with Jackie for 4 days. Jackie is very loving and knowledgeable. My dog is a kicky eater and frequently refuses food. Jackie used some of her tricks and ny dig successfully ate. I contacted her after returning to get her tips. I will utilize Jackie again.
