Our stay with John, Marian, Faerah and Barney was wonderful! Their home was lovely, dogs adorable, and home so welcoming. We met so many lovely local people and saw so many beautiful sites. I will be forever grateful to them for choosing us. We made lifelong friends and experienced Ireland on a trip that I will remember for a lifetime!
Jennifer and Richard's sit was a delight. Their home so lovely and spacious, and their grounds so beautiful and extensive that we had no desire to leave their home, other than for a food shop, all sit long. While i had thought the local area would become my summer holiday, in fact their home was everything I needed for a wonderful summer break. The animals were all very easy to care for because they are well behaved and trained. Walking the dogs could not have been easier - straight from their garden gate into a private lane and into the wood. There is nowhere for them to run away to, nor any danger, as they don't go near any roads. The eldest dog was so good he was almost invisible, while the youngest, a typical cocker spaniel wanted as much attention and strokes as she could get out of you. Richard and Jennifer's house is large, perfectly clean and tidy. All is well organised and comfortable, as well as light and spacious. It is a period building with tasteful modernisation. The patios with eating area overlooking the lawns - that fall away to a small lake - afford a superb view with sunsets each night. The shrubs, pots and flowers are plentiful, along with a small greenhouse and fruit growing area, and so, therefore, is the daily watering task. The tennis court and stunning countryside location were a real bonus. Richard and Jennifer are a wonderful, warm and hospitable couple. Easy going, they were a real pleasure to sit for. I would happily sit for them again.
Great home to look after. Lilah is a dream and loves walks. We highly recommend sitting for Shellie
We had a pleasant and relaxing week at Steve & Vanessa's home near Bury St. Edmunds. They could not have been more welcoming or clear about the house and caring for Barney and Titch. The dogs were a pleasure --- there is a beautiful walking area literally across the street from the home, and they trained us pretty quickly about the ins and outs of their favorite places! They loved being around us in the house or out in the yard. The home was comfortable and easy to live in; the kitchen is well-equipped, there is a lovely sunroom and backyard, including a gas barbeque. We were glad to have hired a car, since the location provides easy access to many sites in Suffolk. We can't say enough positive things about the owners, the pups, or the home, especially if you're looking for a week of relaxation.
