Paula and Larry took great care of our active Lab and spunky old cat. Larry even walked the dog twice a day, which above and beyond the call of duty, since my Lab needs leash retraining. But they weren't as adept at leveraging the welcome guide for information compared with other sitters we've worked with. When they arrived we had to spend time going through information and topics that were all covered in the guide. But the pets received good attention and care throughout the weekend and we appreciate their help. And we're glad they've joined the zeewoi community!
Eric and Jae are great hosts who communicate well. They live in a quiet, clean, eco-conscious home in a safe neighborhood. There are parks within walking distance. The chickens are living their best life near the garden. The cats are content, enjoying time both inside and outside. Both are chatty and enjoy playing once they warm up. They also have a very nice salt water fish tank with a colorful variety of fish, shrimp and coral. The sit was exactly as described and we enjoyed our time caring for their pets.

We greatly enjoyed taking care of Eloise & Cole this past week! Their people (Susan & Dan) let us stay an extra day on either end of the housesit which we appreciated! They are easy to get acquainted with, do a good job of explaining their expectations, and made us feel right at home in their lovely place. Speaking of their 'place', we thoroughly enjoyed their house and location. The house is orderly, pleasant and in a safe, gated community. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well furnished. Our favorite feature was the lanai which backs up to a pond within a preserve. We enjoyed hours of watching the activity in that pond which included birds, waterfowl and 'Seymour' the alligator! We even got to watch Seymour eat one of those poor creatures for dinner! Who needs to seek out tourist destinations when given access to such a lovely place in which to spend time! However, if you do want to seek out tourist destinations, Disneyworld and a number of other opportunities are nearby. In addition, their neighbors are friendly, their community center has many amenities, and their neighborhood was a nice place for walks. Eloise and Cole were easy to care for. It took about a day for them to warm up to us, and then they pursued & appreciated our attention. The feeling was mutual, and we enjoyed some good cuddles with them! They sleep most of the day away, so it is easy to find time for daytime outings. Thank you for trusting us with your cats and your house, Susan & Dan. We hope we get another opportunity to housesit for you in the future!
It was such a wonderful first housesit. Could not have been better! David and Robert are very nice and welcome you with open arms in their lovely home. Their neighborhood is beautiful! You can easily walk to Regent's Park and Primrose Hill and go into the city within minutes by bus or tube. I would love to go back to look after Henry any time! Henry has become my best friend while I was in London. He is a well trained happy little guy with lots of energy and love to give if you let him. I already miss him! It was great meeting you and I hope to see you again! Thank you! :)

The We Love Pets team have been walking my two border terriers for the past 7 years, more recently adding my Whippet puppy to the crew! Over 7 years Claire & her team have got to know my dogs really well, understanding the dogs quirks, especially as they are getting older, adapting especially as their needs have changed. Our current walker has been walking the dogs for a while now, including the whippet baby! The dogs love her she loves & cares for them, they’re always delighted to see her and enjoy their walks. She looks out for their welfare & notices when something is not quite right. More recently we have been using the home boarding services, this is a really welcome service where I don’t want my elderly dogs staying in kennel, I also like the fact that there is someone in the house. I feel I can go away on business or holiday and know that my dogs and home being in safe hands with a totally trustworthy team who keep me up to date with what’s going on at home! We Love Pets offer an incredible personal service with a loving touch for your pets, I would highly recommend them.
There are not many people who are brave enough to look after three boisterous weimaraners, but Claire has welcomed this wholeheartedly! My dogs absolutely love Claire, and can’t wait for their cuddles. She is so attentive to their individual needs, and she spends lots of time with them in the garden and making sure that everything is operating just right. Claire also looks after my house with the dogs in it, rather than us worrying about kennels or having to take them to someone else’s house, which provides us with so much confidence. Claire is a fab dog walker, takes the time to get to know both the family and their pets. By understanding the needs and requirements of the dogs she’s able to plan and execute wonderful walks either alone of with a buddy. When odd occasions arise and she’s unable to attend, a friendly colleague is always on hand. Never out of the blue as she ensures that the customer has previously met the colleague beforehand. When I met with Melanie last summer to chat about daycare for our puppy, Waffle, I was immediately incredibly impressed as I was a very nervous new puppy mum! Melanie has been looking after my puppy for the last three months and she has been everything I could have wished for and more. Dougal has been going to Melanie's for about 4 years now. He goes for day care once or twice a week and also for his holidays (!) Dougal is always greeted by Melanie with a big smile and he loves to lay on his back and have his tummy tickled when he is dropped off. A day at Melanie's is filled with lovely long walks (even on cold, wet, windy days - that's dedication from Melanie !) cuddles and plenty of playtime. What could be better ! I trust Melanie 100pc. In the last few years when the weather has been unbearably hot during the summer months, Melanie made sure that the dogs were kept safe from the dangers of overheating. Each dog was provided with a cooling coat - and the pooches were even treated to a paddling pool and gazebo in the garden - amazing ! Melanie is just brilliant, the best really. Always reliable, incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We are incredibly lucky to have found her. Dougal comes home exhausted but oh so happy !

Within 30 seconds of arrival for a free day trial we were informed that he felt the dogs would be problematic as one of them was pulling and this would exacerbate his back problem. In my opinion he was far too judgemental given he was aware of both dogs breeds. He walked away and mutted a sorry and that was it. Is not the point of a day trial to iron out all wrinkles, if any, and then make a call at the end of that day ? A waste of time and effort on our part.
Our cat loves it here - so much so that he sometimes doesn't want to come home; Richard and Suzie are so attentive and welcoming - we know our cat will be safe and happy here which then takes pressure off any holiday we have.

Chris has been extremely helpful with our Springer Spaniel Buddy. We’ve worked with him closely for a number of months and have made a ton of progress in lots of areas. Things were really difficult before we started working with Chris and it is a massive relief to be in a much better place now and have a lot of the negative behaviours under control. Chris was very professional and very effective. I am very grateful for the work he has done and could not recommend him more highly.
Chris has been doing training with me and Freddie for just over 2 months now. He is amazing with Freddie who gets so excited to see him each week! Chris really knows his stuff and is happy to adapt each session to whatever you need which has been great as we have worked on issues that have cropped up in a timely way. Would definitely recommend. Freddie is going to be joining Chris and Becs for doggy day care soon and we can’t wait as I know he will be in safe hands and have an absolute ball 😊
I have been having 1 2 1 sessions with Chris for my staffie pup. We got her at 8 weeks old and my older dog didn't take to her. I asked Chris for help when my pup turned 13 weeks and he has been amazing. My pup is now 20 weeks old and my 2 dogs get along brilliantly. Chris has showed me how to train my pup as well, she is coming on amazingly. He really is very good and knows his stuff. I highly recommend Chris if you need any help with training.
After making enquires to multiple dog trainers for our dog Henri, Chris was the most prompt to respond. Chris is a kind and approachable person who is instantly able to put you and your animal at ease. His training was suitable, adaptable and conducted in easy to follow lessons for both owner and animal. Nothing seemed to much to ask from Chris and he was always willing to be contacted at any time for advice after lessons. It is clear from the outset that Chris loves the job he does and it really shows.
Chris has been helping me and my dog Woody to overcome his separation anxiety and improve recall. I am very pleased with the results and Woody loves Chris. Chris has a lovely, calm manner and has been very flexible with session times and location. I would highly recommend.
I had 3 sessions with Chris and learnt that some of the issues were caused by me giving mixed signals to my puppy Indie. Chris has a really calm nature and positive approach. My main problem was with Indie and my 2 cats. Chris only got to meet Meggie but he could see how stressed out she was, my other cat mostly hides whilst Indie is around. It's still work in progress but I can now pick Meggie, and Bella up in front of Indie without her jumping and trying to grab them. Chris you'll be pleased to hear we had a breakthrough this morning, Meggie and Indie were both on the bed with me for a couple of hours. That's the 1st time in about 5 months, I was over the moon. We have continued to train and she's now playing fetch with only 1 ball and will drop it right at our feet. Chris you were a star and we can't thank you enough.
We were having issues with our dog Hari's anxiety and reactions around people. Chris spoke to me at length on the phone to find out Hari's background as a rescue and to assess how he could help. After just one session we were able to understand more about Hari's behaviour and implement some key learning to start making immediate progress. After a few more sessions with Chris we are thrilled to see Hari's confidence growing and having much less reaction. We've also decreased the "safety zone" as Hari is becoming more comfortable in closer proximity, in most cases. I just want to say a big thank you to Chris, for all of your help and advice, we couldn't have turned things around without your training. We feel so much more confident and in control, which obviously we know is helping Hari too.
Our Nicole absolutely loves her time in day care every week. Chris & Becs are lovely people and offer fantastic services. We had a 121 training course with Chris and he has patiently helped us get to the best solution. Also Bec's grooming is amazing and professional as well! Can't recommend enough!!!
We worked with Chris when we got our Puppy, Delilah. We did 6, 1-2-1 sessions with him where he helped us with lead walking, obedience training, separation anxiety, meeting/being socialised with other dogs and a lot of other things. Our puppy is now 16 weeks old and we get comments on how friendly and confident she is. I really don't think we could have managed this without Chris. So thanks, Chris!
Jack and V are very great with my Sheba. Sheba started walked with Happy Pooches since she is 1, next months sheba will be 4. I I never think any other walkers, so trustworty, flexible even in the last minute. Happy Pooches have been walking our big pointer, Brownie from Cyprus, for over a year. He simply loves his walks and is tired afterwards! We are old folks and he is too strong for us to take walking so we are grateful to Happy Pooches for giving him such a good time. We will be bringing another dog, Gracie, from Cyprus in the summer and hope she can go walking with Brownie!

We have been using Barking Mad for almost two years and are very pleased with the service provided. Flora is always happy to see either Alun or Rosie when they collect her. We are reassured by the communication about her care and appreciate updates whilst we are away and would not hesitate to recommend Barking Mad to other dog owners.
We found Barking Mad after we realised that our 13-month old cockerpoo Paddy had been unhappy and very unsettled during a short stay in kennels. From start to finish the Barking Mad experience was excellent, and so well thought out. Alun came to our home and took time to meet Paddy and understand his routine and needs, and managed at short notice to find a perfect match for our energetic, playful and affectionate dog. An update with a picture to show us that he had settled in with his host Sharon, and the knowledge that Alun would be in touch should there be any problems meant that we were able to really relax and enjoy our holiday relatively guilt-free. Welcoming home Paddy was fantastic - he bounded in to our home a very happy boy indeed, accompanied by a hand-written postcard from Sharon telling us all his holiday news. Thank you Alun and host Sharon for giving us all a great holiday - and we look forward to the next one!
We are quite new to Barking Mad but everything about this service has been fantastic so far. Alun was very thorough with taking all the details of our elderly Staffie Peanut, not even flinching at her likes and dislikes! It's always a bit of a worry leaving your dog with a new sitter for the first time, but with Barking Mad everything is very well organised and you are left with no worries at all. The system of collecting and returning your dog is great, less stress for everyone. We received a picture of Peanut while she was away to show how she was getting on and a postcard report when she returned. We have no doubts that she was very well cared for and all her usual routines continued while she was away. Peanut has a couple of stays booked over the next couple of months and we look forward to using Barking Mad again in the future.

Our Lucas Terrier Stanley has now had three holidays with Barking Mad and all have been very happy experiences. Everything is extremely well organised - Alun arranges the pick-up and return with great efficiency and no fuss. For the dogs it is a great comfort that all their essential equipment - food, bedding, grooming tools and , crucially, toys go with them to ensure minimum disruption to their routine. For the owners it is a joy to receive a text or e/mail from Alun the following day - often containing a reassuring photo - telling how well your cherished pet has settled. For me that is a guarantee of a happy, relaxed holiday! Stanley arrived home in fine fettle, completely unfazed by the whole experience. I would recommend the Barking Mad service to anyone. And indeed I have!
I have been a host for Barking Mad for over a year now - I love looking after such a variety of dogs. All of them have been so well behaved and are a credit to their owners. All the dogs I have had have been on a trial with either Alun or an experienced host so I know every dog I get is going to be a pleasure to have around the house. I would love my own dog but I'm afraid they are too much of a tie right now so hosting means I get a dog when it suits me and of course I spoil them rotten for their holiday :)
Alun & his hosts have been absolutely fantastic with our 5 lb Chihuahua, Cooper. As most dog lovers could imagine, we were quite reluctant to leave him even with family, however after meeting Alun several times for test runs leading up to our big holiday, he put our minds and hearts at rest. Travelling across the Atlantic several times per year as well as taking other short family holidays abroad has always been our norm, however since getting our puppy 17 months ago, we had to change with way we lived, until meeting Alun. The trust and care which Alun and his hosts have built with our family has only strengthened the fact that we would not leave Cooper with anyone else except for Barking Mad. The great care Alun's hosts give to Cooper is even better than leaving him with family. Cooper gets regular walks, sleeps in his hosts beds and has the most amazing holiday when staying in the Cotswolds with Alun's team. Copper comes back to us as a well adjusted and very happy little dog. Wonderful Company, Wonderful Service, an all around great experience for our very much loved Cooper and for us. Thank you Alun for allowing our family to travel again.
Our dog loves Alun and trots off with him as happy as can be. We feel confident that he is in the safest hands and that is so reassuring when you are holidaying abroad. This year he is returning to the same host family as before so we can relax knowing that he will be well cared for and will enjoy his holiday too!
Our dog, Uno (a Jack Russel) was I believe, Alun's first customer, and given therefore how satisfied my wife and I (and indeed Uno) have beed with both the excellent service provided by Alun, and the care and attention given to Uno (who much like most Jack Russel's) is quite highly strung, by his hosts, we have been loyal customers of Uno and Barking Mad!
