What a wonderful house sit! It was such a pleasure to care for Whitacre while Linda and Phillip were away for 11 nights in August. Whitacre is a super sweet and easy boy! He loves to cuddle and gets really excited about his walks (and is so easy and fun to walk with)! Linda and Phillip were super easy to deal with and they were great communicators during the sit. Their home is amazing - has lots of windows with panoramic views of the lake. Everything about this sit is awesome! Comfortable sleeping arrangements and I could go on forever. Traverse City is such a nice town with so many beautiful places within a quick drive to visit (Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc.). Would highly recommend this sit, and would be more than happy to do it all over again!
Ugi was an absolute delight to care for! She was very affectionate when she came back from her explorations around the neighborhood and at times, pretty chatty. Although she loved being outside, she also enjoyed finding indoor sleeping spots with us nearby. She became comfortable with us rather quickly, brushing up against us as much as possible, headbutting and she relished getting brushed most visits inside. She was very easy to care for and with her refined palate, knew exactly what she wanted to eat and when (we loved watching her slurp her soup up). She kept us entertained and we hated to say goodbye to her when the time came. Although we didn't get to meet them in person, Lauren & Nenad were excellent hosts and communicators. They made things super easy for our arrival, stay and departure, and were very thorough to make sure we didn't have any questions. They were very easy-going and we felt right at home as soon as we got in, thanks to their hospitality. Their home was very cute, clean and had everything we needed to feel more than comfortable. The location was ideally situated in Charleston's old town, right on a regular horse carriage route and steps from everything the city has to offer. Despite it's amazing location, it was very quiet, where we never really heard the hustle and bustle of the city, and we savored our mornings and evenings out on the screened-in back patio overlooking the spacious backyard, most of the time with Ugi! We had the most wonderful stay with the beautiful, Ugi, and we really can't recommend this sit enough! We would LOVE the opportunity to spend more time with her in the future!!
We loved pet sitting Olly, he is a special dog. He was excited to meet us but after making us feel welcome he was happy to curl up in his bed. He made us laugh every day with his teddy and his tennis ball obsession. Such a good combination of affectionate and laid back! Ffion’s house is cosy and peaceful but within easy reach of shops and pubs. We would love to have the chance to look after Olly again. Thanks Ffion!
