Our house was left very tidy and clean. We were regularly updated on our dog and two cats for the month we were away. We live in a Strata Complex, in the US this is a Home Owner’s Association (HOA) and in the UK I believe it’s called a Residential Association. They contravened a bylaw that disallows the parking of recreational vehicles of any kind, including campers, in front of the house. They have a truck and camper and the bylaw was shown and explained to them. We provided parking across the street at a neighbour’s where an allowed spot was available. This was explained to them on our video interview where we actually showed them the spot. As well they had a sit half an hour away and came for a visit. They were physically shown the location and they were fine with the arrangement. One week into the sit they decided to park in front of the house. This resulted in a reprimand from our council with the warning that a fine could have been levied. Our dog has colitis and it was explained to them in detail that he was not to have any food other than what we have provided. This includes treats. He has special food made and frozen in our freezer in case of a flare up. Also in freezer are his treats for when the container runs out in his eating area. This was shown and explained in great detail along with written instructions. Non of the instructions were followed. They ran out of his treats and bought Milk Bones which is bone meal. He had a flare up and they gave him the pre prepared food from the freezer. This was to be given to him over three days but they made it last a week. They ignored the frozen treats again and gave him more Milk Bones. He was still having issues when we arrived home. We have had 18 previous house sitters through Zeewoi and never had any kind of issue.
