Zen's place is in a setting with lovely views, wildlife and is a quiet winter wonderland when it snowed while we were there. It is technically in quiet Sagle, ID, and within driving distance to the welcome and walkable city of Sandpoint, which was a perfect combination for us. Neo And Dylan took a liking to us right away, which made it very easy for us. Zen was very available when contact was needed and a quick responder. A very pleasant stay for us
Malka is the queen! I've never met such a charismatic dog. We had so much fun exploring the hills and waterfronts of Berkeley together. Chip and Jenee are also super easygoing and pleasant, and their home is lovely. I was really jetlagged for the first few days and I had a great time just lounging around and recovering. The neighbourhood is safe and colorful, with lots of good international food options. Highly recommend this sit!
Enjoyed our time with Mabel and the house in Denver. Sheana is a gracious host. Mabel is a dog with a calm spirit and very friendly to care for. The house is beautiful located in a themepark-like neighborhood. Only 3 miles from downtown Denver. Thank you for the opportunity!
I couldn’t recommend house and petsitting for Esmé and Bill enough. They are an incredibly kind and thoughtful couple that made everything possible for my stay to be a wonderful experience (from helping me figuring out my train routes , picking me up in the station, cooking a delicious welcome/goodbye dinner, providing a subscription to a lovely farm so I could have fresh vegetables during my stay and many many more small details that made a huge difference). Regarding the cats, they were the best company I could ask for. Kimchi, Perla and Pancetta are 3 great loving cats that will for sure keep you entertained. I had the best time with them and even had a hard time saying goodbye! Bill and Esmé also have a very comprehensive house manual, so I always felt guided and assured if I had any question (also I could always reach out to them in case I needed anything). As I said in the beginning I would recommend to anyone who is a cat or pet lover to stay with Esmé, Bill, Kimchi, Perla, and Pancetta as you will have the best time.

Sitting for Bocce at Steve and Kathy's home was a wonderful experience. As relative newcomers to Trusted Housesitters, it is hard for us to imagine that this sit can be topped. First of all, Bocce is a sweetheart of a dog. While on the older side, she still loves her walks and she loves to cozy up at your feet or nearby where she can see you and come over for some loving. She has the personality of a therapy dog. The neighborhood is lovely and there are a lot of great places to walk, including the off-leash dog park two blocks away and the gardens of the National Cathedral, about three blocks away. You can easily walk to the National Zoo, Woodley Park and numerous streets with restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. The National Mall area is easily accessible by the metro, or you could bike there. And Kathy and Steve's home is incredible. It is architecturally beautiful and filled with amazing art (especially Kathy's impressive work). They were very gracious and open about helping us to feel comfortable in their home ad neighborhood. We would 100 percent return to sit here again!
