Judith and Evan were very kind and considerate in making me feel at home during my stay in their beautiful, quiet house by the coast. They were detailed in their care instructions, communicative, and easy to reach if I had any questions. Though their cozy property is just a 10 minute drive to the highway and center of Freeport, it makes you feel like you are alone in the wooded area that surrounds it. With a beautiful view of the estuary behind the home, watching the tide roll in over a cup of tea was my daily morning ritual. Their adorable pup, Eero, is an active sweetheart who will strut into whatever room you are in for a belly rub or to be near you while she naps. She loves to roam outside, chasing squirrels or barreling through the snowy wood. She gets very excited about her daily walks and will always stay nearby, despite her frequent disappearing acts that last only about 10 minutes or so. 10/10, would happily visit again! 😊
Thomas is a very kind and spoiled dog, he really enjoys spending time with others. It is very important to wash his food cups, feed him and understand when he enjoys eating. He is the happiest dog when he goes out to the park and has the opportunity to play. With the other dogs, he is a very sociable and well-behaved big boy, his happy place is free by the river. Amazonia was very kind and I enjoyed a private room for my stay, thank you 🙏. Cambridge it's so much more than just the city center and I had the time to explore a little further.
Rossana asked me to sit with her kitties over the 2021-2022 New Year Holiday. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with covid-19 and was not allowed to enter Italy, her destination, so never travelled. She was really kind to offer me to come back in the spring, and was even flexible with me since I needed to leave very early the morning of the 19th to make it back to a wedding in the USA! I had already met with her and Tim in December 2021. The kitchen was SO CLEAN when I arrived. Wow! The cats' dishes were even cleaned and neatly arranged in respective stacks. The entire flat really was spotless, and I spent most of my time either downstairs in the artfully decorated living room or the kitchen. There's an excellent Samsung Smart TV for entertainment, and the cats love to come around and sit next to you on the sofa. I had them in my lap a few times, but they seemed to be more comfortable sitting with me rather than on me, which was great. Pearl required some medication at the very start of the sitting, to ensure she was free of worms/parasites. She took a probiotic out of a syringe mixed in with her food easily, and for her one pill, I was able to mix it into a treat to get her to take. It must have worked because there were no accidents for the entire 3 and 1/2 week stay. Both cats loved going outside. There's a cat flap, but naturally I expected to also be official on call doorman for them with the back glass door. We were really fortunate to have excellent, mild and warm weather, so I was outside plenty too. I would love to come back if I'm ever in London and asked again! The location is so good! I went on several long walks. You can get to Elizabeth Tower/Westminster in about 20-25 minutes, or Tower Bridge in about the same time but in the opposite direction. There's also an Underground stop an easy 3 or 4 minute walk, and plenty of small and larger supermarket offerings.
I am really grateful that I had the opportunity to stay at Cristina's place with Coco. Coco is a wonderful dog, really loving and well-trained. He loved his walks in the forest that is right behind the house. Cristina was kind enough to pick me up with her car and drop me off at the train station at the end of my sitting. She even took me for grocery shopping! On my first day she explained everything to me and we went on walks with Coco together and even had the chance to chat a bit. Thank you for everything!
Brittany is the sweetest!! It is no wonder her cat Lennon is also a total sweetheart. I stayed at Brittany's comfy, well-decorated apartment for an extended weekend and was able to relax and cuddle with Lennon. She is super active and playful for an older lady. She's not a shy or skittish cat. At first, she liked to play a little but only let me pet her a tiny bit and would sit on the other side of the room and stare at me. By the end of the stay, she was sleeping on my leg and demanding pets, and pawing at my hand while I worked. It was adorable. She also came and poked her head out of the blinds as I was leaving and I had to linger for a moment for another goodbye. Brittany left me many detailed messages - careful to make sure I had any information I might need. She also provides a welcome guide. She quickly became my favorite host by leaving me a red sauce she made from scratch and gourmet gluten-free pasta - DELICIOUS! I usually don't like red sauces but this one was special :) Thanks, Brittany. Her place is super cozy and around a lot of good Pho places and this insanely tasty fried chicken restaurant. There is also a yoga studio on the corner. The apartment has a lot of good energy, lots of healing crystals, and nice art. It was clean and smelled nice as well! I would recommend sitting for Brittany or having her care for your animals as she is kind, thoughtful, and a great communicator.
Jennifer was very welcoming and nice, so was Lola with her tiny self! The apartment was clean with a bohemian luxe touch to it which made a fresh vibe and experience. Lola is a snuggle buddy and will wake you up or sleep on your back if you’ve been asleep too long for her, and you can’t help that it’s adorable. Overall my experience as a pet sitter was very simple and I was very thankful for Jennifer!
