This was a good sit and we enjoyed it very much. Mark and Mandy kindly invited us to stay the evening before the sit when we shared a meal Mandy had prepared. We met the dogs and saw around their lovely home. By the time Mark and Mandy left the following day we had met some of the other people working on the property and walked the dogs together. With all the extra help on the property we were fortunate to have nothing to do but concentrate on enjoying spending time with the loveable dogs and sightsee a little. Patrick is older and not as keen on very long walks as he used to be and irrepressible younger Bertie still needs a bit of training to walk on a lead easily. So the large garden was a perfect place to wear off some of Bertie's energy and give Patrick a chance to patrol his domain. We did have a car for this sit and would recommend having one as there are no shops in the village. We would happily do this sit again.
We had a lovely time at Sue's. She made us feel very welcomed and her house is very comfortable with a great conservatory with a great view. Bob (indoor rabbit) was delightful, no trouble at all and as he became braver was prone to nudge when he wanted attention. Outdoor rabbits were equally fun and easy to care for. We would love to return and enjoy more times with the rabbits and the delightful house.
Natalie’s home is exceptional and her dog Cocoa is the nicest dog you will ever meet. Cocoa and I bonded immediately and we had a great time together. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed working with Natalie and her wonderful dog.
Claire was kind enough to pick me up at my bnb although she was very limited in time. An hour of explanation from her and the logbook reassured me. Also we had good communication during my stay. The house is functional with a private garden and a large communal landscaped garden. The upper floor is all yours and very cosy. Serge is a comic strip with her typical appearance and style. She is very affectionate and playful but doesn't always know what to do with too much excitement...just ignore it and clarity helps. In a short time we became good friends who understood each other well. She is very good at walking, hopping, observing and sniffing. There are a few nice walks you can think of in the area. The construction of cycle paths is amazing. La Rochelle is 7 km away and you can reach La Dompierre after a nice exploratory walk or bike ride. There you will find a coffee, a nice butcher, 2 bakeries and regional Uexpress and a Sunday market. The combination of Claire and Serge and La Dompierre is a successful experience!
Diane and Julian were extremely hospitable!! They made sure we had everything we needed, and showed us what Raleigh has to offer. The dogs were well behaved! We enjoyed using the ping pong table at their place too! Beautiful neighborhood. Anyone is lucky to meet them!
The boys were so sweet and well behaved! They sat on command and loved to go on long walks on the beautiful pathway behind the house... Right from the backyard. We enjoyed caring for Tui and Dewi during the stay in Cardiff. Amy and Rhys have a cozy and well appointed home not too far from the city center. For the past three years Barbara and the team at Shoreline Pet Lodge have been wonderful for our lab Penny, and were so amazing when we needed their help! When our twin boys were born they spent two weeks in the NICU at Yale. Shoreline had Penny for those entire two weeks and I don’t think we could have gone through that time without them. The twins are perfectly healthy now, and Penny loves them almost as much as she loves going to daycare and seeing her friends at Shoreline. When Penny has a bad reaction to a spider bite while lodging at Shoreline, Barbara rushed her to the animal hospital on a Sunday and got her the best immediate care I could not. I was informed throughout the process and Penny could not have been in more capable hands. I would not hesitate to trust Shoreline Pet Lodge with your family’s pet, and I strongly recommend them for boarding or daycare.
Shoreline Pet Lodge is the best, they took care of my two beagles and during their stay I was able to extend it with no problems because my plans had changed. My girls had walks, play time and baths. Much more than other places that they stayed. The staff is friendly and caring, treat you like family. I don’t want to use anyone else ever again. 💕

The staff always remembers them by name and all seem to be genuinely happy to be working with animals. I also appreciate the pictures they post in their app so you get peace of mind your pet is doing well while you’re away.

She’s been visiting the Shoreline Pet lodge for 9 years and we’ve not had a problem. We rescued our dog Louie last year. When we got him he was already a year old from Louisiana and didn't realize he has had a hard time with separation anxiety. The staff at Shoreline has been so caring and kind to Louie. They took the time to assess him so that he is comfortable and relaxed. He loves going there. The staff at Shoreline have been an integral part of Louie's growth and confidence. We love how they treat the dogs like family. Louie recently celebrated his 2nd birthday with his doggy friends with a photo op, playtime and treats! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a safe comfortable place to bring their dog.
We had a HORRIBLE experience with our dog staying at Shoreline Pet Lodge. They are not equipped to handle large breeds and were honestly afraid of our dog. He was there for a long weekend, and we got a phone call on the second day that they were having “trouble” with him. They had him in a very small area with a small doggie door to access the outside area. They were insistent that he wouldn’t come through the gate because he was aggressive, however it was simply because he wouldn’t fit! As a large dog, he doesn’t like crawling through spaces smaller than him. They lack of effort on their part to help our dog and make him feel comfortable was pathetic. They promised us he was eating and could use the bathroom, but when we picked him up he smelled horrible, like he had been laying in his pee and poop. We picked him up early, and the owner had the nerve to charge us full price. Our dog needed an immediate bath, peed in our house, and pooped 7 times within 12 hours of being home. Shoreline Pet Lodge ruined our vacation, because of the guilt we felt for our dog once we say how distraught he was. Our dog is not aggressive, at all. Shoreline Pet Lodge used his size as an excuse to be scared of him. Don’t take your big dog here- they are not able to handle them. Thank god our dog is home safe.
Carol is amazing. She is detail oriented in the best of ways, making sure to provide for our dog, Teddy, just as we would for him. Teddy is always happy when he realizes he is going to Carol's which makes it easy to travel and not be worried about our cuddliest family member. If you are looking for a responsible and professional care giver, who will walk, play, cuddle, and otherwise spoil your pet, look no further.
What a wonderful experience for our new puppy! Carol treated her as her own and gave her so much love and attention! We received daily photos and updates and felt completely at ease that our puppy was extremely well taken care of, safe, and most of all, happy!!!!
We love Paw Haven! I've been taking my pup here for over a year and I'm continuously impressed. The kind staff clearly care about all the pups and are looking out for them. Benny goes for camp a couple of days and week and I've boarded him on several occasions. He loves it and I can't imagine taking him anywhere else. They have an app to use for bookings and are overall great at communicating. 10/10 recommend!
Paw Haven has been a godsend for my high energy doggo. She walks in with excitement & walks out very tired. The staff is great! Friendly, kind, & always busting their butts to get the doggos out on time. You can really tell they love spending time with every pup! They give the best silly little updates. My chocolate lab mix “Edmond” and husky “Sissy” have been going to Paw Haven (dog daycare) for at least a year now. They love the staff and the other dogs and they come home tired & happy. The facility itself is huge and beautiful and the prices are on par with or less than any doggy daycare you’d find in the area (I’ve done my research, trust me). The staff does cute activities for holidays and PH also offers grooming and boarding services which I haven’t yet used but it’s a nice option to have. Some other things I like: the facility has cameras, there is a quick response time should you have any questions and the interview/orientation process was simple and straightforward. There really aren’t many cons, the only time there was any confusion/issues was several months back when more staff was being hired and a lot of people were in training all at once (which is understandable). No issues since that brief window of time. I really love this facility and know they take good care of my favorite people - my pups.
I’ve sent my dog here several times over the past two years and have always been pleased with the experience! The staff are all very kind and my dog seems so happy when I come to pick her up. The livestream webcams are a huge plus and I love being able to check in on her watch her play while I’m away. They also periodically send photo updates of your pup during their stay. I’m moving from the area which is unfortunate because I’ve yet to have another boarding experience that rivals Paw Haven!
Paw Haven is honestly a dream come true! Our dog has a lot of energy. He needs an environment where he can burn it off in a safe capacity. He pulls my arm off when we get out of the car in the parking lot because he’s so excited to walk through the door. He loves his social time and spends all day running around, instead of sitting at home waiting for us to return. Later when he gets home he sleeps from that moment on through the ENTIRE night. Tired dogs are happy dogs and this rings true over and over again. Not to mention that we love the friendly staff, we get to “check-in” periodically to see him playing with his friends through Paw Haven’s camera system, AND at the end of every day we get a handful of adorable photos! I tell my husband all the time, daycare at Paw Haven is worth every single cent!
An exceptionally bad experience! We are traveling to the area for the holiday and when I first called I was told that they can accept our dogs for daycare after I create an account, uploade vaccine records and book a meet and greet. We did all of that, called back and was told we need to upload records of a fecal test, so I had to call my Vet in Michigan and get them to send me lab test, which I did and uploaded to their account. I called back only to be told they had not sorted out their interview policy for this week and they actually aren't accepting new dogs for daycare! I spent almost an hour and a half running around to do what they asked for after two separate calls with two separate people only to be told they weren't fully organized with their holiday week policy! How is this a business? Obviously poor operations if the management can't communicate to the employees fielding calls.
Our pups love their time at Paw Haven! When we board them, we get them a Luxury Suite that they can stay in together, and it has Live Webcams that we can use to check in on them throughout the day. We love the report cards and photo updates at the end of each night, and love the optional add-ons we can purchase to spoil the pups a little extra while we’re away.
Love this place! I know I can trust them with my pup whenever I leave him here. He always comes home so tired from a long day of play! Plus they always send me a report card of how he did that day along with pictures!! They make my day. It’s nice that they always make sure to keep you updated. The website also has a camera in the playrooms so you can check on your fur baby when you miss them. Not only that but some rooms have a camera so you can see your baby after the playroom camera goes off for the night. Really saved me and my husband when we went on vacation. I always recommend this place to my friends. Pawhaven is AMAZING. Id trust them with my real children if they took them too 😂attaching an adorable pic they took of my pup 🥹

Kaleem has watched dog on many occasions and has always been very reliable. He is so kind and considerate and loves our dog as it was his own. He’s gone beyond his services and I find Kaleem very responsible and trustworthy entering your home. Our dog loves when he comes to our home and we feel comfortable leaving him because we know he’s in good hands. Kaleem has been a god send to our family. I am so happy and grateful to have found such an awesome and professional caretaker for our puppy. We have a 5 month old Australianlabradoodle and from the minute we met Kaleem I felt at ease knowing our puppy was in his care. He has been so kind, professional and knowledgeable with his care of pour puppy. Since he has been coming to take her on walks and to the park she has been happy and tired. I only booked him for 30 minute walks but he took it upon himself to ask if he could bring her to the dog park sometimes and doesn't charge me any extra. I trust him implicitly with my puppy and in my house caring for her. We feel extremely lucky and happy to have found such a great , honest, kind, knowledgeable person to help us with Denahi! I am so happy we found Kaleem. JoJo is having a difficult time adjusting to our recent move to Branford and Kaleem's calm demeanor, kindness and true love for each dog is amazing. JoJo often goes with him and his pack to the park and also loves to stay over with him. I always know she is in good hands and would not put her with anybody else.

She has become part of our animals pack . We can go away an not worry that they are not getting the best care. Jessica will check in with us about any concerns or just to send a picture of our animals along with a note of how they are doing. This has been the best experience for our animals and us.

We have received nothing but the best service from Jessica. She is dependable and is kind to our pets and they love her in return. She is willing to cover vacations for us when needed, and we can go away and not have to worry that anything will go wrong. She is honest and very pleasant, and we are pleased and glad to have met her.
We employed Hooves, Hounds, & Whiskers pet sitting to take care of our cats and hermit crabs while we were away for 4 weeks, and they were nothing less than fabulous! The apartment and all pet areas were perfectly clean and well cared for, and they left us a comprehensive daily diary of their visits which is very nice to come home to. I fully recommend them to anyone seeking pet care services in the greater New Haven area. They do all kinds of pets and all types of visits! This was our first time employing pet sitters, and was a very positive experience. I was impressed that they didn't bat an eye about caring for the hermit crabs too, which are admittedly weird and outside the basic realm of mammal care. They even changed the cat boxes fully right before we came home, which is something I don't even work up the energy to do more than once a year.
So happy we met Jessica! She takes such good care of our dog while we are at work, leaves us notes daily, and is very flexible if our schedule changes!
I had a bad experience with this pet-sitting service. Carol Parmalee treated me poorly to say the least! In our communications, she failed to respond to emails and telephone calls in a timely manner. Carol did not care that she treated me poorly. Worst of all she failed to respond to requests about the return of my house key upon my return from vacation. Carol ignored my request for the keys six days. Finally, I called the Guilford Police Department to get my house keys back. By that time I had changed the locks on my home. At the conclusion of the service, she had the audacity to charge me extra money for an extra day of vacation due to the death of my uncle. She is unbelievable and does not take ownership of her bad behavior.
We use HH&W for daytime potty breaks when I travel on business. Carol is great and flexible to keep up with our schedule. Highly recommended.

We let the dogs out handled our dog Missy for our wedding and photos then took her home for us. They were so amazing. They came right on time, did an entire photo shoot with her, and let her be the guest greeter because our wedding was unfortunately indoors and she couldn't be our flower girl like we wanted. She even found us after we got out of the ceremony so we could cry and hug her. They were so amazing, had water, treats, and toys for her. We couldn't have asked for any better service. I cannot say enough good things about Wedding Bliss Pet Care/We Let the Dogs Out. We worked with Rachel and Jessica for wedding on 6/10/23 and are SO GRATEFUL for the service they provided. They were so patient with our lab throughout the day. Our wedding was on the water so we were a little nervous about him going for a swim but it was not an issue at all. Rachel and Jessica were so professional and patient with our boy throughout the day. They brought squeaky toys and treats and worked alongside our photographer to help pose him for pictures. Jessica even escorted our boy into our reception for his big entrance as "The Best Dog"! ‘We Let the Dogs Out’ has provided wonderful care for our dogs since we started using them several months ago. Everyone who has cared for our animals has been caring, attentive and responsible. Their communication is excellent! It’s easy to set up services, and we love receiving notes and photos of our dogs after every visit.
I would absolutely recommend we let the dogs out without hesitation. Our dog Miniwheat was always anxious of strangers, but their team always seemed able to get her to warm up to them. They were accommodating when we needed help on short notice, and understanding when we needed to cancel on short notice.
This is the most amazing dog sitting/walking/playing service around! They are all so experienced and caring to our pets who have been in great condition and had moments of many special needs and “we let the dogs out” is the most caring, professional staff you could ever hope for. These guys are the best. They not only care for your dogs like their own but if you end up in a situation where you can't get home from a trip on-schedule, they support you in caring for your dogs in that pinch. I recently planned to come home on a Wednesday from New Orleans but sudden tornados delayed that return to the next day. We Let The Dogs Out immediately responded to my distress call regarding my plight and that my dogs continued to need their care and they provided it. Such a relief. Plus they provide photos and updates following every visit. You never have to worry with them. If you love your pets like I do, use them.

We needed a pet sitter last minute when our other one got sick. I was stressed because a lot of other things (non-pet related) were going off the rails, so I was giving instructions rather rapid fire. Liz got every detail exactly right. Wish I could give them more stars! Devil dog daycare came HIGHLY recommended by my vet for dog training. Lisa the owner and the staff is amazing. It’s so apparent how much they care for the dogs . I truly can not thank all of them enough for being so kind. Also the groomer Aimee that is there is the best you will find .
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My dog loved it here, she hardly wanted to leave. I took a tour when I was dropping her off and the place is very clean. There's an outdoor space and a baby pool so the dogs could splash around when it's warm outside. All in all, it's a great facility, will definitely be returning here.
My pup has been going to this facility since she was 3 months old. The staff is amazing, friendly, and professional. The owner is meticulous when it comes to cleanliness. The dogs are vetted for where they will spend the day and with what other dogs. I tell them we have joint custody of my dog. She is very fearful of humans and this is the only place she is excited to go to. I hope they continue to share my pups journey through life and highly recommend them. Trust me, I’m very overprotective of my dog and I totally trust this facility I’m blessed to have a place like this for Sadie to spend her days. They even throw parties and special holiday events for dogs and owners. This is truly an amazing daycare.
I started bringing my puppy to Devil Dog Daycare about 2 months ago and it was the best decision for her. Living by myself and working full-time, I didn't have the heart to keep her in the crate or leave her home alone. She is a rescue pup and had some skittish tendencies, so at first, I was worried about her being in daycare. I am thrilled with how well she is doing and how amazing the staff at DDDC is. She is happy and enjoys being with the other dogs. She gets really excited seeing the staff and goes right in with them. DDDC is reasonably priced, has an extremely professional staff, and well organized. Thank you to Lisa and the staff for working with her and making her a part of the DDDC family!
These comments about the owner are the biggest lies and harassment. It’s sad that Google doesn’t prevent spam or harassment in the reviews of businesses. If you’re looking for honesty here it is, the owner Lisa goes above and beyond every day to make sure every pet and client that walks in feels like a part of the family, she is constantly thinking of the clients and dogs at the facility first above all else. She is one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever met and about all dogs that come in and makes sure every pet that comes in has the best experience playing in a clean and safe environment. She goes above and beyond to help any way she can for those who work for her and her loyal clients bending over backwards to help even when there’s no benefit in it for her. So if your looking at reviews for honesty you need to know that the owner Lisa is who you should trust with your pet, it’s sad to see people take out personal issues that have nothing to do with the business by leaving negative reviews.

Our pup Landry just loves Poochie Play! It was her first experience with day care and the staff was amazing. Extremely patient and sweet with her and with a nervous new Mom and Dad. She gets to play and socialize with friends while we know she is safe and well-loved throughout her day. The facility web cams give us that extra security and allow us to watch our baby while she has a great time. Most of all, I love the way the staff knows her by name when we walk through the door… and they always seem genuinely happy to see her!! We definitely recommend Poochie Play!
We started bringing our two dogs to Devil Dog Day Care about six months ago. Prior to that we used to use a kennel where the dogs would just lay around all day and it cost extra for 15 minutes of ball play. At Devil Dog Day Care the dogs actually come home tired after playing all day with other dogs. Not only are they kept active all day but they learn invaluable socialization skills. The team there is highly recommended not only for their skill set but for their true compassion and care that each dog receives. We recently had our two dogs there for over two weeks as we went on vacation; we did not worry at all about them as we knew they were in great hands. They love our dogs as much as they love them. All we have to do is say "Wanna go see Lisa" and they run to the door all excited. Thank you Lisa and the whole staff for all you do and your expertise and your true love for animals, you give us so much peace of mind.
Josh and his team are amazing with our two dogs Mona and Sparky. They are both rescues with difficult behaviors. Josh was the only dog-walker that was willing to take on the challenge and help us to walk our pups. After one year we can’t be more happy with the teams service.
Josh has been taking care of our 3 cats for at least 7 years and does a wonderful job. We always have peace of mind knowing he is on the job so we can enjoy our vacation highly recommend him

My energetic Labrador greets Joshua or another staff member at the front door with wags an bounces - everyone else he barks at until he sees you! Woodbridge Pet Sitting has been caring for our pets (and house) for the past 10 years. They are extremely reliable and go above and beyond (including driving to our house at 4 am to meet the fire department when a faulty smoke detector set off a false alarm). We had 2 senior cats with special needs and a cockatiel, given very good care by WBPS. After those beloved pets passed, WBPS has been visiting our 2 cats since their kitten hood whenever we are away. Our house is isolated and gets a lot of snow and ice, WBPS always comes thru for us. We never have to worry when we are on vacation. Wood Bridge Pet Sitting is the best!

Gina is the best! Extremely professional, conscientious, and caring. She is by far our favorite of the many cat sitters we have used over the years. Our cats love her, and we love getting updates from Gina about how they are doing when we are away. While it's never fun to leave our fur babies, it's much easier knowing that they are in such good hands. All of which is to say, we recommend Gina unreservedly. Just make sure to book in advance because her schedule gets busy, particularly around the holidays.

Gina has been helping to take care of my cats for almost 2 years now. She is super communicative and professional, she understands my anxiety in leaving my cats at home by themselves and she is always sending details, beautiful photos, and updates to make sure I know what is going on and don't worry while I'm away. My shy cats love her and she even takes care of my plants while I'm away. We are so lucky to have her!

I can't recommend New Haven Pet Sitting highly enough. Gina truly cares for pets as if they're her own. She meets them beforehand, treats them each as individuals, playing with them and cuddling, depending on their needs. I've had her come care for my two cats often this past year, and I've always had complete confidence that they're in the best hands. Last summer one of my cats became ill in my absence, and Gina took pictures and went to the ER and sat with him, conferencing with me and the vet while at the office as we decided what to do. She gave him his medication every few hours according to the doctor's specifications, and even had a friend come when she couldn't. I am tremendously grateful to have found her.
Erica has been caring for my pup Cleo for over two years now and is just the best. She's reliable, professional, and goes above and beyond to try and accommodate even last-minute requests. Erica is very attentive and always lets me know if something seems off with my dog (stomach issues, etc.). She also gives recommendations without being asked, which I appreciate given her extensive expertise. Cleo absolutely loves her too!
Erica is fantastic and a life saver! We were fortunate to recently adopt a 2 1/2 year old bulldog, Maisie. She had been in a shelter for over six months, so she is still a bit skittish around new people. Maisie has adjusted well in our home, but we had two long planned trips that we hadn't thought about, that's when Erica saved the day! She was able to come to our home and care for Maisie while we were away. Maisie loves her walks with Erica! Knowing Erica was taking good care of her reduced our anxiety about being away for Maisie.

Erica is amazing and I’m so glad I found her! She takes such good care of our boy Baxter. We have had Bax there for day care and more recently for overnights and for the first time I am not worried about him while we are away! She posts pics and sends updates which we love and he gets so excited when we pull down the street. That is the ultimate test and compliment in my eyes. He truly loves being there. Erica is a wonderful pet sitter! She takes excellent care of our two kitties, who hate to leave the house so Erica visits them in our home. One of our kitties is very social and the other is very shy, and Erica makes extra effort to connect with the shy kitty, being sure to leave treats and catnip where she will get them. She sends pictures (and sometimes video) of both kitties, and checks in regularly by text to let us know she’s been in and how the kitties are doing. Erica has been caring for our kitties for about a year and we feel totally at ease knowing they are under her care while we’re away. We are so glad to have found her!
This was the first time we ever left the care of our 3 cats to a “stranger”. Erica came over, met all of us, took notes, and was friendly, yet professional. Two of our cats require medication, one of which is medicated every 12 hours and is clever at hiding. This was no problem for Erica! Erica was great at keeping in touch with me over the week sending photos & updates. She also responded quickly to my texts with questions & changes. Upon return our home felt normal, as if we never left. Although there was some grumbling amongst the felines inquiring as to what I did with Erica! Cats! 😺
I'm so happy that we used Scratch 'N Sniff while we went away on vacation. Our dog has a lot of anxiety and taking him with us wasn't an option for this trip. Erica was super accommodating. She was able to make visits to our house so Rocky would be comfortable in his normal environment. She was able to give him his medication, which typically is difficult with him. We were given frequent updates and pictures to make sure we were at ease and knew he was doing well. She even brought in our mail and watered our flowers for us. We will definitely be using this pet service for any trips we take in the future.

Recently got married and needed someone to watch our dog Blue for a few days, Erica is always the first to pop in mind! Her professionalism and great care for our pup is unmatched! We've utilized Four Paws services during our last two vacations to care for our two cats and our turtles. They have provided excellent service in every way - they leave detailed notes for each visit and always respond quickly and cheerfully to any e-mails or special instructions. Our cats can be a bit leery of strangers, so it's nice to see (via the visit notes) that both warmed up to Diane and Gary by the second or third visit. We won't hesitate to contact them the next time we are going to be out of town - their rates are very reasonable and you couldn't ask for better service. UPDATE: It's now nine years later, and we still call on Four Paws and a Biscuit whenever we need someone to care for our (many, many) cats when we're out of town. The service is still excellent and reasonably-priced, and they still leave detailed notes for every visit (even when most of our scaredy-cats won't come out to see them) - really couldn't ask for more.
My dogs have loved both Gary and Michele at 4 Paws. I trust them very much. They treat my dogs well, are aware of safety (ie wrapping the leash so the dog does not get away) and treat my home well when they come. They have my highest recommendation.
