Harvey is a very calm and friendly dog. Communication with Sandra was always very good and fluid. She and her husband are very kind and offer themselves to help us with any problem we could have. Barbara and Simon are very generous : they left me a car, invited me to share their dinner and lunch. Made me feel at home. Their modern house is very nice, clean and confortable. « My » bedroom had a marvellous view over the Channel and the islands. My only regret ? All of us had to change plans because of a huge storm arriving over England : flights being cancelled by airlines, my stay in Guernesey has been 2 days shortened. And Barbara’s stay in New Forest too. Scheggia is a cute terrier who loves to play and go for long walks, even under the mist. And when she feels a little blue because her owners are away, she comes near you, asking for a cuddle, sleeping between your legs when you’re reading on the sofa. She is a very peaceful dog, does not bark, helps you find your way back if you are a little lost on the cliff lanes around.
Lora has lots of great animals and each one was a a blast and easy to care for. The two little dogs, Ziggy and Milo were very entertaining and great cuddlers. Luna is a gorgeous and playful rescue that loves long walks and lots of attention. Even their sweet cat, Olive is low maintenance but affectionate. You can tell even the lizards are part of the family! This family adores their pets and their home is absolutely gorgeous. I've never felt so peaceful and serene as I did gazing out at their breathtaking view. You'd be lucky to stay here.
Everything was perfect in Kirknewton. We were very well received by Marian and Peter, who are wonderful people. The girls are adorable and kind. They are very calm and affectionate. The house is beautiful and it feels like you are in a little fairytale castle, with a wonderful garden. Furthermore, the house is well located, accessible by public transport. There is a Tesco market in the village next to Kirknewton, which you can walk to for about 30 minutes or you can also get there by bus and there are wonderful parks nearby too. We're already missing Kirknewton and the girls Ruby, Rose, Minstrel and Kiwi. And it was a pleasure to meet Marian and Peter, they are inspiring people. I hope I can come back soon 🙂
We had a lovely stay at Karen's (warm!) home with Duke and Mungo. The boys are both super affectionate. It was hilarious to see the dynamic between the 45kg gentle giant that is Duke, and Mungo the cat. Good local options for walks and stick throwing with the football pitch a short walk away and a moss basically across the road, which was extra fun in the snow. Alsager is referred to as 'the village' by the locals, but it's full of restaurants and good take away options, with several pubs very much walking distance. There's also a lovely farm shop about 10mins walk from the house. Karen's house is spacious but cosy, and backs onto a hedge-lined walking path full of birds. It's very quiet, and everyone we met out walking was just as friendly as you would hope.
Everything about this sit was lovely. Sonali's two cats, Chinna and Kutty, are as sweet as they are beautiful, and they made for the most wonderful company. Sonali herself was kind, understanding, and very accommodating. She met with me to show me around her home before the sit began, and she was very responsive to messages throughout my entire stay. Although the family is moving, I feel certain their new home will be as beautiful and peaceful as the one in which I stayed, and that any sitter would have a wonderful experience there. I know I consider myself fortunate to have been able to cat sit for Sonali, and I very much look forward to an opportunity to stay with her kitties again!

Duke always enjoys his walks , day care and boarding with Just Purrfect. He always comes home happy and tired! He loves Stevie , Chris and the rest of their team he gets excited when they collect him. Range of services on offer and affordable he doesn't go anywhere else. I highly recommend!
Such a caring and helpful business. Our dog is a rescue and can be a little nervous but he loves going to Just Purrfect. We started using them when we moved to the area and needed dog boarding while we moved. He now goes there for daycare and grooming. He is always very relaxed when we collect him and goes straight back into his usual routine. Every single member of staff that we have meet there have been incredibly friendly and reassuring. I’m so glad we found them!
The team at Just Purr-fect have been amazing with our 2½ year old rescue girl and take care to match dogs who will play well with each other and complement each others energy levels. She always comes back happy and clearly having had a great time. The team are also great at responding to any questions promptly.

We just needed a place for our dog Rosy for one night as we attended a wedding. Drum were recommended to us by other local kennels who had no spaces. The kennels looked clean and spacious and Rosy obviously enjoyed her stay, making a big fuss of one of the staff as we left.
Drum kennels Morag and the staff we met could not be more accommodating. Ceasar came back happy and well looked after. He has allergies and is raw feed with lots of little extras. Which they were happy to do. They listened to all we had to say to keep him safe and clear and we ard happy to say he came back to us with no flare ups. This in itself is proof of how well he was cared for while we were away. As we are well aware at home how easy it can happen. I would recommend anyone to use Drum kennels and give a 5+rating. Caesar will definitely be staying with you again next time we are away. Thanks Dawn Phil & Caesar.

Fantastic pet care!! Pete and Ana are truly wonderful people. They care about your animals as if they were their own! I can go away anywhere in the world for any length of time knowing that my pets are safe, comfy and pampered! One of my dogs is wary of men. Pete is working with her to build her confidence and he is so patient with her. My other dog has a history of absconding, Pete and Ana can read his body language and get him on his lead when and if necessary. They always try and cater to my short notice requests as well. I really can't think of anything negative to say at all. They are fantastic!!
Pete and Ana are fantastic with our two Border Terriers. They are extremely professional but more importantly they love the dogs and the dogs love them. There aren't many other people we trust to look after them. Highly recommended.

Took great care of our precious dog Freddie and our house for two weeks and we had great communication from start to finish with Running Duck which put us at ease. We were kept up to date with photos and updates which was so lovely. He especially loved his walks and playtime with Glenn, and we could see they had really bonded. They really do look after your pet and home as their own. The house was kept safe, clean and garden watered too which was so appreciated. Having both retired, we planned a once in a lifetime 6 week trip to Australia, but were very anxious about leaving our pets, particularly our dear dog Barley. Jenny juggled schedules in order to fit around our dates, so that Glenn and Mandy were able to cover the whole of the time. They took excellent care of our home, our cat Chip's, and our precious boy, communicating with us regularly via WhatsApp, attaching pics and videos to reassure us.
Glenn & Mandy were excellent pet sitters. They visited us before our trip to meet us and our two spaniels. While we were away they kept in touch with photos & videos. We returned to two happy dogs who had been very well looked after. We have booked Glenn & Mandy again for next year and Jenny for our autumn trip. Highly recommended.
Instantly took to everyone concerned at the Running Duck Pet Services. Jenny is incredible at communicating and arranging cover, and Glenn and Mandy are fabulous with all our pets. We see the delight when they arrive on our Pugs faces, and it's non stop love, care, attention and frolics from the minute they arrive. We are kept up to date with pictures and communication daily whilst we are away. The Running Ducks are our absolute favourites, and they are now part of the family. All of them are such lovely genuine people. Highly recommend, although don't book them up too much please, as we need them free to cover our pets!!!
We would highly recommend Glen and Mandy. Our English Foxhound is a rescue and can get worried when new people first come to the house, so we were a little apprehensive at someone coming to stay. Glen and Mandy kindly came over one morning before the holiday and in no time Buddy was wagging his tail and Glen was his new best friend. From then on, we felt confident that Buddy would be very happy with them and we were right. Just back from holiday and Buddy has had a great week, with lovely walks, games and being spoilt and is his happy, relaxed self. Thank you for understanding our boy.
Glenn and Mandy looked after our 2 dogs and cat for 10 days. One of our dogs takes medication twice daily so it was important to us to feel comfortable with the people looking after them. Straight away Glenn put us at ease, he discussed everything we would need and reminded us of things we had not even considered, ie informing vets etc. We got daily updates from Mandy, enough to ensure our minds were at ease but timed perfectly so as not to bombard us during our time away. Our plants are in better condition than when we left due to Glenn's green fingers. Cannot recommend them enough, and have already booked next year's holiday!
We recently nipped off for some sun, leaving our two Lardy Labs in the very capable hands of Running Duck. This is our second trip since moving to Wiltshire and because Glenn was already booked, George came up from Dartmoor to attend to their every need 😆 We got regular photos of their hikes and chill out sessions, but we never worry about them when away as we know how much love and attention they are showered with. The house is always clean and tidy on our return, which is an added bonus. We would not hesitate to recommend Running Duck for not only your Fur Babies, but your home too.
This was the first time we had left our 2 year old lab overnight and we were apprehensive, mainly due to her suffering occasional seizures and needing daily meds, but from the start Jenny was great, she put our minds at ease. Communication was clear and responses speedy. Skye warmed to Glenn quickly and we have felt confident in booking a holiday for next year, so thank-you Running duck services, we would highly recommend Glenn & Mandy :)

I have lost track of the number of years my dog has been cared for by Jenny and the amazing Walking Woofs team. This is the second of my dogs I have entrusted to the Walking Woofs team. Throughout those years my dog has been cared for with unconditional kindness and utmost consideration and she has been much loved, like their own. She’s been walked 4 or 5 times a week, had a small stint at doggy daycare and she’s also been to Jenny and a host boarder to cover a few holidays. My dog is a bit of diva and has some quirky ways, but all the walkers/hosts have taken the time to know her little ways and give her the love and affection that I have come to expect from the team. In addition to the exceptional care and consideration afforded to the dogs, the team extend this to the owners too. Jenny has worked incredibly hard to develop this business and as I have watched it grow, I have seen all of the measures she consistently puts in place to ensure the dogs are in the best possible hands, while having the time of their lives. And they most definitely do have the time of their lives. I think the awards she has won speak for themselves. I feel grateful to know that my now senior dog, with the challenges that ageing brings, is in the best hands. Jenny and the team will adapt her walks to suit her requirements whether that be a group walk, a walk around the block or a sofa day and cuddles. I go to work safe in the knowledge that her life is enriched thanks to the team. Keep up the amazing work, your loyal owners and canine friends love you loads and are grateful for the love and care you give.
We use walking woods for daycare and boarding of our 2 beagles. They are absolutely fantastic. They treat the dogs like family and we have peace of mind that our dogs are safe and happy whilst they are with them. Our dogs are always so excited to go to daycare each week and we love seeing the photos of what they have been up too! The whole team are amazing! We highly recommend them!
Jenifer came to the rescue at last minute for us as we were new to the area and the dog walker we booked through an internet portal let us down. Grand parents were animal sitting for us but long walks couldn’t be done by them so a walker was needed, they said Buster cried for Jenifer everytime she dropped him back off obviously because he had had such an amazing time with her. Many thanks again Jenifer we will be booking again.
Highly recommend Jenny and her team, they go above and beyond, providing exceptional dog care, whilst also doing their very best to be flexible to support the needs of owners. I have used all 3 of their services and my dog always comes home well exercised, happy and content. It is very reassuring to know that she can be left in safe and trusting hands!
Short version: Absolutely fantastic! Detailed version: I followed a few companies before we got our dog, and Walking Woofs quickly became our top choice because we could see from their social media they really care about the dogs in their care. They're not just dog sitters/walkers/guardians, they know about the dogs, they do a range of activities, they keep them engaged, and they educate on dog care - I was sold when I spotted a post about dogs gaining winter weight, and it wasn't just a notice, it was explaining how to check and monitor your dogs weight yourselves. That level of care for the dogs is exactly what we wanted. They have exceeded expectations - our dog's favourite day is any day with the team either daycare or boarding (she hasn't done walks yet, but we know multiple others that go out with them, and they all sing their praises). She runs straight to them whenever we're near, and at the end of the day is ready to go home and relax (literally passes out on the sofa, is too tired to run up the stairs to the house, it's wonderful). The team are friendly, flexible and approachable. Walking Woofs are not a company, they are a pack that we are now part of and I am so grateful for them!

We have been delighted at the way our Tibetan Terrier has been looked after and cared for by all members of the WW team. Every Time we collect her from day care we can tell she has had a fun day with the other dogs and is very happy. We have valued getting to know the staff too, everyone is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and caring toward both pets and their owners
The ultimate in dog boarding and doggy day care services! We are so happy to have found such a fantastic provider. Jenny and family are kind, considerate, knowledgable and competent. They go out of their way to help us out and we couldn’t be more grateful for the top class service they provide. Our dog absolutely loves going to stay and seems a little disappointed to come home! I'm currently looking after my daughters very lively 4 year old Springer, he loves spending the day at Mollys Mates, he gets to run around and work off some energy and it gives our 2 older dogs (and me!) a peaceful day. Picture is what hes like after his day out! The facilities are great as are all the staff. Thoroughly recommend.

Amazing daycare for our golden retriever from 4 month old puppy up to the present 'teenager' they are dealing with! The team are amazing at caring for the individual quirks of each dog from nervous introductions to unusual meal times, and our dog simply doesn't want to leave at the end of each day now and we feel a part of the Molly's Mates family! A day a Molly's means a tired out pup and peace of mind he's getting the exercise and socialisation he needs 🙂 Thanks guys!
Mollys Daycare are absolutely amazing!! I moved down from Derbyshire and they were able to take my dog Nova rather last minute for Daycare for the week and she had a fantastic time, it was her first time in daycare and made me feel at ease about leaving her there and Nova loved it and again when I need it most they are helping me and taking her for walks while I work. I would 100% recommend Mollys Daycare your loved furbabies will be very well looked after!
Our golden retrievers loved it and a really reasonable price for an hour...little park for the grandaughter to play in and fresh water on tap for the dogs.
There's no better place around to take your dog for day care. Our dog Daisy loves visiting Molly's and can't wait to get inside. She is always so exhausted after a day's playing and being looked after by this great team!

We have used Barking Mad with Lucy and Paul for Barney several times. They are punctual, polite, friendly and efficient. We get updates and feedback from Barney’s “foster parents”. Thank goodness for Barking Mad as we couldn’t put him in Kennels and he seems to be a popular guest!
Never usually one to leave reviews however I feel I have exhausted all other communication and feel I have fair grounds to share my experience. I enquired with Lucy regarding boarding as I wanted a safe place and confidence that my babies would be looked after. Lucy was very efficient in getting back in touch and getting a visit booked to come out and see the girls, she even came out on a Sunday (due to cancelling the first appointment due to illness) which I thought was very kind. We went through everything we could and when Lucy left I felt confident I had finally found somewhere to leave my babies when I needed to go away and was unable to take them with me. However after that visit it became almost impossible to get any sort of response from Lucy. She came to do her visit on the 18th February & said she would follow up via email within the next 24 hours with the report for me to check and sign off. I chased Lucy for this 3 days later and got no reply (I could also see she was indeed reading my messages due to read receipt’s being turned on). I then chased another 7 days later, again Lucy read it and did not respond. Finally 11 days later I got an email response (granted Lucy explained she had a couple of things going on personally which I understood and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt). We exchanged a few emails to change a couple of things on the report and also decide on dates to get my babies booked in for a trial, I had one more question to ask which I emailed over before I made the £55 registration fee. I emailed Lucy on the 5th April these enquiries, no response. I chased a response on the 11th April again nothing. I decided to message Lucy via text message to just see if she received my email one day later as I was eager to get everything sorted and booked knowing how busy they can get and Lucy finally responded to say she was out at the time but would respond later that afternoon in which I appreciated and waited patiently. 3 days later again no response so I chased, Lucy yet again read and ignored the message. 1 week later again I chased and low and behold I am still left on read to the day. I have now decided I no longer wish to use Barking Mad Services due to the loss in confidence in their business I have lost faith and confidence that I would actually have any communication at all whilst my babies are away or any sort of updates. Especially since there is a huge lack in communication during the first stage of business. I am a business owner myself and understand life can get in the way however I do make a conscious effort to ensure all enquiries and customers are responded too within 72 hours minimum or at-least keep them in the loop if I know my communication may be reduced. This is the bare minimum and certainly isn’t asking a lot. This is a shame because I thought I had found somewhere finally that was affordable and caring however the poor communication and being ignorant by clearly leaving your customers on read and on numerous occasions has lost you the business, going forward I would turn your read receipt’s off if I was you as this has of course been infuriating to be so clearly ignored.
We have used Barking Mad a number of times now to care for our dog and have always been extremely happy with the service. It is odd passing your much- loved pet into the hands of a stranger, but Lucy and Paul have gone out of their way to personalise it as much as possible and, with both the host homes that our dog has stayed in, we have felt that they know and understand his needs very well. This is based on the thorough paperwork beforehand, which is reviewed each time, as well as Lucy's skilled pairing of dog with host. We feel confident that our dog is being very well cared for and wholeheartedly recommend Barking Mad to others. S and G
We required urgent dog care due to a bereavement. Lucy and Paul were very efficient and quickly had everything in place for our dog Stewart. He had a wonderful time and the photos we received whilst away were very reassuring as was the written feedback we were given when Stewart was returned. We are so delighted with the service provided by Lucy & Paul, ensuring our young Cocker Spaniel "girls", Jillie & Kara were placed with the right hosts, Lynne and Ray. Clearly, the girls had a wonderful time, and we knew as soon as they came home, how well they had been looked after - thank you Lynne and Ray.We have already booked next years holiday, knowing the "girls" will have a home from home holiday, in every way!!
Always reliable pick up and drop off service. Friendly service with great hosts who provide a "second home". We never worry about our dog whilst we're away. We know she'll be looked after by the hosts as well as we would and we get youtube videos to prove it, which is very reassuring when you're a long way away.
Fantastic support and service for my dog when we need her looked after - she always looks forward to seeing Lucy when she gets picked up and she obviously gets well looked after ☺️
Jenny and George, aka Running Ducks, are just brilliant! I have a very complicated house; lots of animals, plants, routines, to ensure smooth running of the place. They both stepped in and took over all the complexities, as though they had been here for ever. The animals were so loved, were safe. The house and (some more difficult than others) its occupants were managed with skill and I was able To relax on my trip to the other side of the world!! Believe me, this is not an easy job. The stress of leaving everything here Made going away incredibly difficult!! They are just wonderful people and my animals adored them. I can’t recommend or thank them enough for giving me a bit of a breather and for allowing me to feel everything was safe and secure and loved. I wish they could clone themselves! Thank you both 🙏🙏🙏
Jenny and George have sat for us twice now and we've been so happy with their care of our two indoor cats. I get very nervous about leaving them to go away, particularly because they need quite a bit of attention as they are indoor cats and I want them to be kept safe from the outside busy road. But I definitely do not need to worry because Jenny and George looked after them so well and I could tell how content they were from the daily photos and updates, and on our return home. I really felt like I could relax when I was away knowing they were in safe hands. Our male cat in particular is really missing them! Aside from the excellent care of our cats, our home was left clean and tidy too. We will definitely continue to use Running Duck Pet Services and so so pleased we have found sitters that we can trust and who care so much for our cats.
Our dog Maya loved being with George and although we hadn't met him before this time, we felt confident in leaving our beloved dog in his care. She seemed really happy and relaxed when we returned and we got lots of update photos whilst we were gone. We would certainly use Running Duck again. Thank you Jenny & George
Jenny and George were the perfect cat sitters, while we were away for 2 weeks. Our 3 cats were so well looked after. We received daily updates with pics and videos. Our house was spotless on our return and we even had a home made cheese cake waiting for us. Thank you to a lovely couple that gave us complete peace of mind whilst we were away. Highly recommended.
Running Duck Pet Services are our go to team whenever we need great pet sitters. Our most recent experience in particular will stay with us for a lifetime thanks to the amazing support we had from Glenn and Mandy. We travelled abroad for two and a half weeks for our wedding but just before we left we found out that our pup Gus had a cancerous lump on his paw that required quite intense surgery. Glenn and Mandy took the best care of Gus making sure he was well rested and took him to regular vet appointments. We got daily updates and felt totally relaxed that he was receiving the best care. We will be forever grateful to this amazing team of people and we know the bond Gussy has with Glenn and Mandy means we won't need to worry about trips away ever again
This is the easiest review we’ve ever written! Simply, fabulous… can’t thank ‘auntie’ Jenny & ‘uncle’ George enough for being such incredible surrogate parents to our boy Benny whilst we enjoyed a much needed short break. It was great to be away without worrying, knowing that he was in very safe, capable hands with such loving people. It was evident from the videos and photos you shared he was having a ball, and thoroughly enjoying his time with you, practicing his training and having a nice muddy run in the woods! We can’t imagine better people to look after him. Thank you from us and a huge thank you from Benny! X

Running Duck are, bar none, the best dog- and house-sitting people we have ever dealt with. Jenny and George were the kindest, most trustworthy, most understanding, most responsible, and overall best people we have ever used in regard to caring for our dogs (and house). There is only one downside: now that we've used them, there is no way we can even imagine leaving our dogs in the care of anyone OTHER than Running Duck. (No joke - Google Reviews has told me that the original review I submitted for Running Duck is 750 words over the allowed limit; I obviously couldn't stop singing their praises once I started, so now I'll try to cut it down to only the most important and pertinent points.) My wife and I were away for a full month due to personal circumstances that were very stressful. Concern about our dogs or house would've made the entire time that much worse, but the one and only thing we never worried about was the safety and happiness of our dogs and house. With a significant time difference, we loved waking up to photos (and videos!) of our dogs having the times of their lives with Jenny and George. A memorable favourite of ours was a video showing the dogs completely engrossed as George played guitar for them. I wrote a full explanation for each of the following bullet points, but I have to remove them to get this review to work, but these are some of the most important traits that Running Duck have and that they demonstrated while caring for our dogs: 1 - Caring & Attentiveness re: Health Issues. 2 - Understanding & Acceptance (& Attention to Detail) re: Advice and Instructions. 3 - Mindfulness & Forethought re: Food and Medicine. 4 - Flexibility & Helpfulness re: Logistics Issues. 5 - They are True, True Dog People. The only explanation I've kept from the preceding list is for #5: Jenny and George did not simply feed and walk the dogs, they hung out with them, reading, watching tv, chilling. I honestly don't think I can do enough justice to the sort of attention and kindness and care they showed the dogs - as well as to us, knowing that we were having a less-than-stellar time away, they would still send us photos or text updates to let us know how the dogs were, even when we hadn't responded or asked because we were so overwhelmed. Their updates were, in all sincerity, reflected the one part of our month away that we felt 100% at ease with. After the initial tenseness of setting off and leaving dogs with other people left after 1-2 days, neither my wife nor I was concerned for an iota. My wife and I honestly thought our dogs seemed depressed for a few days after Jenny and George left. And I'd be lying if I said we didn't stay in contact because they actually cared enough afterward to make sure everything was smooth in our transition home - plus, they missed the dogs themselves! Even though we haven't seen them since they cared for our dogs and house that month, we do still occasionally send dog photos back and forth, which is just wonderful. (On side note, and an important one at that - once we settled back in at home, we realised that they had left our house even cleaner than we had originally left it for them!) To summarise once more: Running Duck is the best. There's probably a word in clinical psychology for the strength of attachment I have to my dogs but even with my (over-)attachment, I would again trust Jenny & George with them in a heartbeat. A few months after they had taken care of our dogs / house, we asked if they were available again for some upcoming dates. Unfortunately, they were not (and of course, any high demand for their services makes absolute sense to us). The funny part - and this is true - is that my wife and I decided that, rather than plan our travel and then see if they can fit with our dates, that going forward, we will ask Jenny & George what dates/months work best for them and then we will plan our travel around their availabilities. If that doesn't tell you of the esteem and trust which we hold for Running Duck, I don't know what does.
Jenny and George provided us with an excellent service at very short notice. From the first visit to check us out and meet the cat (a young, very lively and slightly dim ginger boy) we could tell that house, garden and pet would be in very good hands. Jenny kept in touch on a daily basis and on my return the cat had decided he preferred his new companion to us. We'll certainly use Running Duck again.
Following our inquiry Jenny and George visited us at home, established our requirements and met our very nervous and demanding rescue cat. We were left in no doubt what a kind and caring couple they are, who provided us with total confidence in leaving our home and our cat in their care. Jenny and George house and pet sat for us for two weeks at the end of August/early September. During this time we were kept informed and updated on a daily basis by emails photographs and text messages allowing us to truly relax and enjoy our holiday safe in the knowledge that all was well at home. We returned to a calmer friendlier cat, who had clearly benefited from the care and dedication provided by both Jenny and George, the house was immaculate and George had even taken the trouble to tidy the gardens and cut our lawns We cannot recommend Jenny and George highly enough and will certainly be using them again on each and every occasion that we travel.
