We thoroughly enjoyed having Liz and Brian look after our kitties. The house was spotless when we arrived home, the kitties happy, and our garden looked great! Hoping they'll be able to sit for us again in the future.
Looking after Odin was a real pleasure - he's full of life, intelligent, and incredibly sweet! We really fell in love with him. We were able to stay nearby the night before the sit which meant we could meet Autumn and Adam and go on a walk with Odin together, and they were so helpful in showing us a favourite walking spot as well as how Odin likes to play. They were great at giving us heads-up about his quirks and where he might need a bit of extra guidance and care, such as getting a bit jumpy at cars. Odin is remarkably good off-leash, his recall is great and with a little discipline he can heel well too. He's more interested in his ball than other dogs so we didn't struggle with interactions with other walkers when we took him out. At home he was always eager to see what we were up to and wanting to play with his toys, and in the evenings he was very cuddly as he settled down with us on the sofa. Their home is cosy and functional, and we were able to both work remotely very comfortably thanks to the two desks they have. We were happy and had everything we needed for the stay, and were particularly grateful that Autumn and Adam made sure all the food for Odin was stocked up and easy to prepare for him. Overall we definitely recommend this sit! If you're looking for a lively and intelligent dog, Odin definitely has the energy to accommodate an active lifestyle.
We had the pleasure of staying at Jill's lovely home for February half term 2022 to look after their two adorable Labradors, Finlay and Dexter and Peanut the hamster, they were all very easy to care for. Jill provided great communication before and during the sit, very helpful care notes prior to the sit enabling us to get an understanding of their pets needs prior to our arrival. The dogs were an absolute delight to look after, good natured and beautifully trained - they made the sit so easy. There were plenty of great beaches close to their home for walks and always a cafe for coffee and cakes after.
Three weeks with three cats, and such variety of purrsonalities! Care was pretty standard, feeding twice a day, etc. I've never looked after 3 cats before and was impressed at the volume of output they could leave in the litter boxes! Still, skipping a day here and there was fine. Unfortunately Lando, the oldest, had a skin issue crop up which required some veterinary attention, but was fairly straightforward to deal with using daily meds and a cone. Crystal and Tomo were extremely welcoming and accommodating and made us feel at home! Their guest room/bed is super comfy and we took advantage of the amenities they offered (nespresso machine, home theatre system, etc!). I imagine in warmer months their south facing patio would be a dream. We would gladly cat/house sit for them!
Francesca and Rob are a lovely couple who made us feel like home the minute we entered the house. They showed us their super cozy and refurbished house and explained how everything worked. The house is located in the beautiful town of st Albans, centrally located next to shops, amenities and lovely pubs. Easy access to London in just 20min by train. Jumbo was adorable & sweet, he liked sitting on my lap when watching TV. We had an absolutely amazing stay!
We have just completed a nearly four week flat and cat sit for Tsenala and absolutely loved our time looking after Lenny and Makara and exploring the area around Ueberlingen and western parts of Lake Constance. Lenny and Makara are two gorgeous loving cats who quickly accepted us as substitute caregivers while Tsenala and Jim were away. They are indoor cats and require a bit more interaction and play time than out+indoor cats but Tsenala had given us great instructions on feeding regime and what Lenny and Makara enjoyed for play time and cuddle time (and plenty of cat toys to use). We were amply rewarded with lots of purrs and cat cuddles from both Lenny and Makara during our time looking after them. The flat is right in the middle of the old town of Ueberlingen and just a minute walk from the lake front with lots of restaurants along the shore promenade and the ferry terminals and five minutes walk for easy access free swimming in the lake. There is plenty to do in and around Ueberlingen. We had the use of Tsenala and Jim's bikes, which was great and enabled us to explore further afield. Tsenala had left lots of maps, info leaflets and bike route guides for our use and gave us plenty of recommendations on things to do and where to go. The flat itself is very comfortable and benefits from a lovely small balcony, which we made extensive use of. Right from first contact Tsenala was very friendly and informative and well organised and made us feel very much at home and relaxed when we arrived. She even treated us to a lovely meal on our first evening. We loved our time with Lenny and Makara and staying in the comfortable flat and exploring a gorgeous part of Germany. We can thoroughly recommend flat and cat sitting for Tsenala and we would love to come back for a repeat sit. We miss 'our' Lenny and Makara.
Had a fantastic time looking after Bode and Fern - two adorable and lovely dogs! Jo's home is beautiful and in a great location with plenty of countryside walks and the Cotswolds on the doorstep. Would happily stay again!
