I would like to recommend Cathy as a great pet and house sitter. She arrived at our house just as we were getting ready to evacuate for hurricane Idaila. She was very quick and efficient to load up the cats and take them to a safe home. Communication with Cathy was great before and during the sit, she shared pictures of them adjusting in a different environment which was very much appreciated as I didn't have to worry about their safety. She then loaded them up in her car and brought them back to our house after the storm had passed. She left the house in perfect order and clean. I would love to have her sit for us again
Caitlin was scheduled to sit for me from 8/23-8/26. During the screening process we had confirmed that she would in fact be alone during the stay and we did not want multiple people staying at the home. This was agreed to. We met Caitlin in person and despite having some concerns around her delayed communication and tardiness we selected her to stay. Throughout the stay it was clear that she did not read our welcome guide and she was unprepared. She claimed my toilet was broken and I paid for a plumber to come to the residence who let me know it was in fact fine. This was very inconvenient. Caitlin was very slow to respond and at one point she did not respond from 6pm 8/23 to 10am 6/24 making us very concerned. We called and texted multiple times with no answer. it was discovered on the evening of 8/23 that she had disarmed my security system of my home and unplugged my external camera systems for the house. These cameras have no ability to view inside the home and were within the guidelines and policies of zeewoi. When she finally answered at 10am 8/24 she claimed to have no knowledge about the camera situation until I pressed the subject multiple times. She then admitted to disarming the cameras claiming that she needed her privacy. Immediately I felt very concerned and wanted to discontinue to sit, I contacted my mother who arrived on site and met with Caitlin in person. Caitlin gathered her things and my mother investigated the home. It was clear that Astro had not been attended to much as he had no water in his bowl and was very anxious. My mother discovered that Caitlin had her boyfriend staying in the home and he walked out of the bedroom and left the house. This clearly violated our previous confirmation and discussion. Caitlin then spent approximately 15-20 minutes gathering her things and removing things from the fridge. It appeared as if they had been using the home as a place to party and stay for the weekend rather than to actually watch my dog. The key was ultimately transferred to my mom and Caitlin left the house with her boyfriend.
Shelby and Janelle were great guests and treated our three animals very well during their stay. I would 100% recommend them for a house/pet sit!
Had a very nice time in Ericeira! Cooper and Presley are amazing pups, good and well behaved. Cooper is a sweet boy , full of energy, I have enjoyed very much our walks on the beach! Presley is a curios and gentle old lady , she is smaller than Cooper and when she looked up at me I just wanted to hold her and squeeze her into my arms. The apartament is very central and I had everything I needed just a few steps away. Ericeira is a Fab. destination! Tara and family are friendly and easy going I wish them the best of Luck in their new Life in Portugal !
