Zeke is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever spent time with. He’s a total love bug but not needy. I’m local so was able to meet his parents Scott and Ursula in advance to learn about him and the house. The house itself is stunning and a total treat to stay in. The third floor with the guest rooms truly feels like an oasis in the trees. Zeke did have some stubbornness with wanting to be the boss of his local neighborhood walks - he clearly had an idea of where we should go. This was pretty easily addressed by carrying treats and also switching up his known area for the many beautiful walking trails in the area. I got my steps in! Overall a delightful time together, would happily do it again.
Kate & Colin were very welcoming and kind, allowing my dad to come and stay with me in their home. The home is lovely and there are lots of lovely places to explore within driving distance. Kaya is a wonderful dog - very affectionate with a lovely nature. She can be a little boisterous but she is also responsive and I had no issues caring for her and walking her alone, including off the lead. Overall a very enjoyable week, I would definitely care for Kaya again in the future.
Gabriella und ihre Familie haben mich sehr herzlich empfangen. Ihr Haus ist wunderschön und sehr sauber, gut gelegen und mit dem geliehenen Fahrrad war es toll die Gegend zu erkunden. Die Katzen, Mama und Sohn, waren sehr süß und lieb, ihre Charaktere in der Beschreibung gut getroffen. Es war sehr schön mit den beiden und der Abschied schwer. Die 4 Hühner sind genauso liebenswert. Und auch sehr zutraulich, pflegeleicht. Sie freuen sich wenn man zu ihnen kommt oder die Futter stehenden Elstern vertreibt...und sie legen tolle grüne Eier. Eine sehr nette Familie, tolle Tiere, ein schönes, sehr gepflegtes Haus und eine wunderschöne Insel/Gegend (und perfektes Wetter). Vielen Dank für eure Gastfreundschaft und einen tollen Aufenthalt!
Lovely cats and super accommodating hosts. Stella is a giant floof and kept mostly to herself but often came around for pets or greeted me "good morning" with a very gentle paw on my hand while I was still laying in bed. Henri is very chill with her insulin shots, and she was glued to me just hours after I arrived: every time I sat at a desk or laid down on the couch, she appeared and jumped up to lay on my lap. Absolutely adorable. Both cats also give the cutest mews, but neither are too vocal or demanding. The house itself has so much natural light, and the location is A+. Erin and their partner Patrick also let me arrive early and dropped me off at my nearby Airbnb after the sit, which was super appreciated since my suitcase was huge and the bus service in Victoria doesn't rival driving. I would recommend this sit, especially for those who already have experience administering shots to animals. I didn't have such experience, but Erin and Patrick gave very clear instructions and demonstrations, and Henri seemed to approve well enough of my care. :)
Roy and I had the pleasure of staying at Amanda’s house and looking after Darcey and Woody for just one night and we absolutely loved it! Amanda and her family all greeted us and instantly made us feel welcome. We were walked through the dogs routines and told about their personalities and felt very comfortable once they set off. I can’t put in to writing how much we loved the dogs, although Darcey was sometimes nervous, she was a fab and calming presence on her younger brother Woody. Woody was a little ball of energy and couldn’t get enough cuddles or attention from either of us - we were more than happy to oblige! The house is located a 5 minute walk from the high street, which has lots of bars and restaurants. We are looking forward to returning at some point in the future!
Really enjoyed this lovely house sit with Wilma the relaxed cat. Great communication with Susie and Peter who kindly left us wine and chocolate which we enjoyed in the sunny garden over the Jubilee Weekend. Thank you. Linda and Rob
