We had another sit fall through after this one, and they let us stay an extra night here - and we were also able to stay a day before the sit! This house is so beautiful, and the neighboorhood is peaceful and safe. Awesome sit, we'd love to do this again sometime.
We had the most wonderful time at our sit for Savannah and Murray and felt welcomed right away. Murray is the absolute sweetest and we loved curling up on the couch with him. Savannah is a very welcoming host providing us with all the details we needed for a comfortable stay. Her apartment is very nice, clean and in a great location and we felt right at home staying there. We absolutely would recommend sitting for her and Murray any time and hope we get to go back one day as we already are missing the little guy!
Cana texted me before my arrival date to tell me that they cancel their trip because of a sick kid but they still offer me to stay at their house anyway while they are staying at their parents. I found that really kind of them, the house was great and the location amazing. Didn’t met the dogs unfortunately but I’m sure they are lovely as the owner. Thanks again for your trust all the best !
We had an amazing sit at Julien’s and Ivo’s beautiful apartment! The cats are very easy to look after, both with quite different personalities haha The apartment is so cozy and it has a beautiful terrace. The heating works great, which is appreciated during winter months in Madrid. Julien and Ivo are very friendly and helpful and made sure we felt comfortable since the beginning of the stay! All in all it was just an awesome sit and we would love to come back! In fact we’re coming back in a few days! Haha
We really enjoyed pet sitting for Magda and Jerome! Goji was incredibly sweet and accepted all the cuddles and attention we gave him. Cambria kept to herself mostly, so when she came up to us to get some love it was a treat but she did always let us know when it was meal time. We had ridden horses when we were teenagers, but not since, so we really didn't have too much experience interacting with horses. Magda and Jerome were thorough in demonstrating how to feed and interact with Shaq and Russeau. Both horses had calm demeanors and allowed us to feed, pet, and even pull stickers out of their mane, with no issues. Their home was nice and clean and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Magda and Jerome were incredibly hospitable and communicative and this was truly a perfect sit. We would be more than happy to pet sit for them again in the future!
I had great days at Susanna's place. Both cats are so cute and chilled, I really enjoyed spending time with them. Also liked the location of the flat because the public transport brings you directly to the city centre

Layla looked after our little sausage dog Maisy whilst we were getting married down the road at Inchyra. Layla also brought Maisy to our wedding for a couple of hours so she could be there on our special day. Maisy had the best time with Layla and she could not have been better cared for. Layla sent us lots of photos and video updates so we were absolutely confident she was settled and having a lovely time. I can’t thank Layla enough and we will absolutely be calling on her again to look after Maisy in the future. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring person to look after their furry friend!
Layla looked after our 2 dogs while we were at a wedding in the area. They went on 2 pack walks and stayed overnight at her lovely home. The dogs clearly had a great time as they've done nothing but sleep since! They were really relaxed when we picked them up. Layla was in regular contact with us and she's clearly very experienced with dogs. Would 100% use again and recommend!

Tails and Trails aka Layla offers a wonderful service, she came to meet Ruby and assess her skills and interactions with other dogs before taking her on 1-1 walks, then when Ruby was behaving well off lead she introduced her to pack walks. Ruby loves her weekly pack walks and is always excited to go and tired afterwards. I highly recommend this service.

I adopted my dog in September of last year, not knowing much about his background other than him not being good around other dogs. Barking Mad is an excellent service! I have used Barking Mad for a number of years for my dogs and I've never been disappointed. Our dogs have been very well looked after and when the van pulls up to collect them there is great excitement from them about going on holiday! Elaine and John are genuinely caring towards the dogs and we leave them feeling confident that they will be well looked after and have a great time! Thoroughly recommend.
I have been a Barking Mad Host and service user for almost 20 years. Elaine and John are the third owners I have worked with and not only are they lovely people, they are by far the most enthusiastic, committed owners of the service. Not only do they ensure dogs have a fabulous holiday in appropriate surroundings, they have developed a very caring community for the Hosts. All your lovely dogs are looked after so well in their holiday homes.
After a bad experience with dog care some years ago, I thought I would never go on holiday again – until I found Barking Mad. My pooch has some quirky habits which require particular care and attention – John and Elaine came to the house to meet him, took note of everything down to the smallest detail and found the perfect host who catered for all his needs. I went to visit my family in New Zealand and had heaps of text messages, photos and video showing my dog out on lovely walks, having lots of fun and looking totally relaxed. I have already booked my next holiday and have every confidence that with Barking Mad, my dog will receive the same care, attention and love that he gets at home. I can’t rate this organisation highly enough, they are simply the best.
I cannot recommend barking mad fife enough. When your going on holiday you want your furry friend to be looked after the same way you look after them at home. You want peace of mind and reassurance, this is exactly what Elaine and John provide. No detail is missed out and they cover absolutely everything with you in a 2 hour initial meeting before they board your dog. Our dog has joint issues which can limit some activities, this issue was 100% taken on board while our dog was in Elaine and Johns care. I think it’s important to know any health issues your dog may have will be looked after correctly. You’ll receive updates with photos when you are away- chances are your furry friend is also having a 5 star luxury holiday of their own! The service is second to none and worth every penny. I cannot rate Elaine and John highly enough.
Since we first used John and Elaine at Barking Mad to look after our Gordon Setter "Floyd" for six weeks in 2017 we would not consider placing him anywhere else. He loves going with them and has the time of his life running with the pack in the hills and swimming in the sea. While he's away we get regular pictures and videos sent so we can see how happy he is. We would have no hesitation recommending them even for long stays. Peter and Maureen.
Our last dog Trey, a ‘silver surfer’ was always looked after so well and loved his holibags with Elaine and John. He was a withdrawn guide dog who had bad arthritic legs who just loved people and we worried how he would be staying with others. We needn’t have worried as he loved every second and was always cared for to our exact needs regarding his food and medication. When we lost him our two new girls who are rescue labradors now go on holiday with them too. As I am now disabled it was a huge worry for me that if I had to do anything at short notice, who would look after my dogs? I am so lucky that Elaine and John have always gone the extra mile for me when I have needed care for the girls at very short notice sometimes so that this now is not an issue. If anyone is considering dog care I would say let your dogs go on holiday with John and Elaine. You can have total peace of mind to enjoy whatever you are doing in the knowledge that your fur babies will be having a blast with the best care possible and being treated as part of a family with all their home comforts.
This is a wonderful service, run and owned by 2 devoted dog lovers. Elaine and John are friendly, caring and very professional people, they ensure that you and your dogs safety, comfort any special needs are their main priority. We were extremely happy with every aspect of the service they provided, which allowed my Wife and I to enjoy our break/holiday away, knowing that our 'Kizzi' was safe and happy! Excellent service provided by wonderful and devoted staff. Nothing is too much for them as in our case when our pooch has to go to the vets, as she does once a month, it is no hassle whilst we are on holiday. Our dog Leo went to stay for the first time with Sam for two nights. He had an amazing time! He loved playing with the other Leo and he enjoyed lots of cuddles. Sam went above and beyond to make him feel at home because it was his first stay there. We will definitely be using Sam again! My brother’s dog Ava stayed at Leo’s boarding for 2 nights. She absolutely loved it. The house was clean and dog friendly. The service was professional, good value for money and most importantly-the owner has a clear love of dogs! Whilst we were away, we received videos and photos of Ava having an amazing time, running around with their dog Leo. We have her booked back in again in October! I would highly recommend them!

Alfie loves his time at Leo’s Home Dog Boarding, I can leave him there with confidence which is rare with his separation anxiety. The updates are amazing and Sam is very supportive and accommodating around drop offs and pick ups.

Our pup Pablo has been going to Perth Pet Care for full day care (including pick up and drop off) since August/September 2021 to March 2022. He has always loved his time with them, and always arrives home completed knackered and chilled out for a good couple of days. The guys at the day care have always been professional, flexible and friendly as well as understanding of Pablo’s needs. Unfortunately he’ll no longer be going as beyond the age of one he’d need to be neutered to attend. If you’re looking to do that with your dog, I’d highly highly recommend Perth Pet Care for anyone looking for those kind of services.

Holly, my Bichon Frise had her first visit here since moving to the area. Absolutely delighted with the result! Already booked her in for her next visit. I was worried about finding a new groomer for Holly when I moved but but my worries are well and truly laid to rest. Fantastic service and great value.

I use the facilities here to wash my border terrier Milly, who likes rolling in stuff, great wash facilities, different scented shampoos, towel, driers and perfume, perfect!
My mums dog lady had her first groom today... wee thought she may need a few visits she was brilliant.. shes to go back for 1 more visit.. jst to tidy up.... emily the groomer didnt want to frighten her .... thankyou emily.. such lovely people.. plus they do a lot for dogs ...
The website states that it has DIY facilities but when you phone to book it's clear that it's only available when the resident groomer isn't using it. So you can't go when it suits you.
Our four legged baby is always incredibly happy and eager to go and play with his four and two legged friends. Bonus: after a session he's knackered and sleeps like a log.
Stewart and Maggie have been the kindest and loveliest people for duration of time I needed Zeus my little cat to be looked after. They kept me reassured, made sure he was stimulated and happy during his stay. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you both for your care and what you do.
Words will never fully describe how wonderful Adie Kennels and Cattery are… Stuart and Maggie are simply the BEST. From day one (almost 5 years ago) we have been made to feel welcome and nothing has ever been too much trouble. Our 9yr old golden retriever Jett has stayed with these guys a few times and always is returned to us in tip top shape. Brushed, walked and loved on - he is given medicine if necessary - you really can’t ask for more from this place. If you want your dog or cat to be cared for and have the peace of mind whilst on your holidays then look no further than Adie Kennels. Definitely the best kennels we have ever used. We have a nervous rescue spaniel who is not comfortable with humans at all - he has been going to Adie Kennels for a few years now and he just loves Maggie & Stuart, goes off with them no problem and enjoys his cuddles and playtime with Maggie - even came home doing high fives once ! Nothing is too much trouble for them. We never have any concerns when we leave Spotty, knowing he is happy and comes home more confident with every visit. Can't recommend highly enough.
My cat Buddy is just back this morning from a 9 night stay with Stuart and Maggie. They are absolutely amazing and always look after Buddy so well. I can't recommend them highly enough, I would never put Buddy anywhere else. He's home looking fab and a happy boy. Hard to overstate the care that our dog Cara had recently at Stuart and Maggie’s! Great communication before the stay, fantastic care for Cara when she was upset during a thunderstorm and when our flight was delayed there was no problem with them having her for an extra night! All this with no drama our minds were always at ease - it’s clear to us that the animals come first at Adie. The care is simply outstanding. Thanks again guys and see you in November 😊😊
Cooper's first stay at a kennel and we were delighted with the service here. From the moment we picked up the phone we were reassured with the thorough, professional and friendly voice at the other end of the phone. When we arrived, the hand over was first class - a lovely setting with great facilities. All in all, great attention to detail which put us at ease with our pup's first stay away from home. Beth is always my first choice to look after my dog and house when I’m away. She is very attentive to all my dog’s needs and sends daily updates with pictures which is always greatly appreciated. Beth also looks after our house impeccably, making sure it is always lovely and tidy when we arrive home. I would definitely recommend Beth to any of my friends and family!
My partner and I are absolutely thrilled with the level of care Beth provided for our 2 cats whilst we were away. Unfortunately one of our cats became unwell just days before we were due to depart however Beth was quick to assure us that under her care and supervision everything would be okay. Throughout the week, she went the extra mile to make sure the cats were not only taken care of, but also happy and comfortable. We got daily updates and photos as well as a full written debrief awaiting us when we arrived home. I was so relieved to see how well my cats took to her during her visits. And not only did Beth look after the cats as agreed but she also made sure our home was clean and tidy for our return. We would 100% recommend Beth for any pets sitting and we will definitely be booking again 😄

I initially came across Gallowmyre after looking for a daycare service for my dog on an occasional to regular basis. I did a bit of research and heard some horror stories about other local facilities in Perth but Gallowmyre came well recommended. I have to admit that I wasn't sure of the idea of putting my dog to a kennels but after my 7 month old pup has now been a few times I can highly recommend the care from Sarah and her team. My pup is a bit nervous and they have accommodated this no problem and shown nothing but kindness. I would not hesitate to put him here for a longer period of time and have now booked in all my holidays for next year.
Can’t fault this kennel or the staff they are amazing. We had booked our Bettie in on the Sunday for a week and unfortunately she had some medical problems (womb prolapse) she ended up in the vet hospital by Tuesday they looked after her made sure she got the help she needed and luckily she is now on the mend. I would not hesitate to send her back very compassionate and professional and how they dealt with her in our absence was superb. Thank you so much for looking after my girl while we weren’t available. X
I feel my beloved dog is well looked after when he’s at Gallowmyre. He’s always happy to go & very clean when he comes home. He’s nearly 10 now & has been staying since he was 6 months old. I always recommend to other dog owners.
Set in a beautiful rural location, we've used the kennels twice now for our Border terrier and the staff are really friendly and seem to have everything well organised. Our dog seems to like it.
Gallowmyre Kennels have been great! We've left Mac with them on a day care basis and also overnight stays, he loves going there as all the staff are very friendly and obviously love dogs. I have used K9 Nanny for over 10 years and I don't have any problems with Jill, I can't fault her at all.. She loves the customers dogs as though they are hers, my dogs have always loved their walk and time with Jill and look forward to seeing her. Jill knows her stuff about dogs, don't be afraid of asking anything regarding with behaviour or training. I have no qualms of Jill having a key to my house, follows any instructions, Jill has common sense more than some of the other dog walkers who shouldn't be allowed to walk a dog and most of all, I trust Jill 100% for taking care of my dogs and that's what matters to me is happy dogs.
Charley loves spending time with June and Jill. I would recommend the K9 Nanny to dog owners. First class service from people who genuinely love dogs.
