We’ve been fortunate enough to care for Lynne and Paul’s property twice now. When asked to return for the second time the decision was a non-event. In fact we even delayed some business plans in order to do so. Our first visit was memorable in that we joined them the night before they left on their trip. We sat around their dinner table enjoying a delish meal cooked by them. The night was a great success and we felt almost sad farewelling them the next morning. Both times we have looked after their border collie, Winnie. She’s an absolute character and great fun to have around. Each day we’d take her for a walk in the village and to our favourite coffee house. She is friends with all of the locals and we too became friends very quickly. Dogs, like children, are great levellers. The house and ten surrounding acres are delightful. The house was very comfortable, cosy in the winter months, light and bright surrounded by some terrific scenery. Their chickens are great characters too and we loved their cats, Good Dave & Bad Dave (and to quote Paul & Lynne ‘don’t ask!) The cattle were self reliant but we enjoyed walking through the paddocks each day checking on their water, whilst Winnie tried her skills at rounding them up. Not terrifically successful as the tide would often turn and they would herd her. Lynne & Paul were incredibly thoughtful hosts, and made our stay seamless, ensuring that we had all that we needed. From being sitters for our hosts initially, we now consider them firm friends. They are a delightful couple. The problem with recommending them too highly is that we will probably get stampeded in the rush to do the next sit. Whoever does manage to get a sit at their home in Port Fairy should consider themselves very fortunate indeed. We certainly did.
King and Chopper were the sweetest boys ever and Alexis and Chad’s place was in the cutest small town!
Oh I loved to stay with Agi and Gus! They are so cute and funny 🤩 We had an amazing time and lots of cuddles. Agi crawled into bed every morning, which was super cute! Communication with Dave was easy going and the apartment is very nice! A lot of shops around, buses to all directions and in walking distance to Tower Bridge 🤩 I would come back any time ❤️
A wonderful sit! Alicia and Randy were so welcoming and ran us through everything there was know and kept in contact whilst they were away. They have a lovely home and an adorable pair of dogs. Coco and Mokka are very well behaved and love cuddles! We miss them a lot!
The 3 dogs were total lovebugs. The house is super cute, comfortable and accommodating. Carmen is very responsive and easy to communicate with. The surrounding landscape is absolutely beautiful so walking the dogs twice a day was pure joy. We really miss spending time with Mika, CuCu and Julia and would certainly like to do this sit again. Especially recommend for couples who are looking to get away and enjoy the outdoors.
This was a great experience. Haddie is a very sweet and easy-to-love dog, and Otto is super fun. The area is good with nice restaurants, a unique atmosphere, and interesting forest/riverside walks nearby. Kyle and Beni are generous hosts. I loved the sit and would return.
