Elmo is the nicest boy we've met !! We are really happy that he found Lucy on his way, I think he is finally living his best life in Miami! it's a beautiful duo! We had the chance to meet Lucy during our stay and she's very kind and generous! We are so happy to have met them for our very first time in Australia! Take care
We sat for Sydney for 1 month in May / June 2024. Callum and Amber were very welcoming and easy to communicate with before and during the sit. The apartment is clean and tidy and in a fantastic location in Kits, with Mobi stands on the road, an easy 10 minute walk from the beach, and very close to W 4th Ave which has a great selection of restaurants and shops - our favourites were Tractor and the Jam Cafe. It's a 10 - 15 min walk to street parking with no restrictions, and so sitters bringing their cars should factor this into their plans. Sydney was a real character and an absolute delight! He's a very striking looking dog, and we received lots of compliments on his looks and were often stopped in the street by people wanting to say hi to him and ask what breed he was. He's affectionate, playful, has a wonderful temperament, and a very waggy tail! It is clear that Callum and Amber have put a lot of effort into his socialisation and training, and it has paid off. He loves showing off his tricks (especially when treats are involved) and is the most people and dog friendly pooch we have ever sat for. He wants to befriend every person and dog he meets. He's still a big pup, and so does sometimes need reminding not to jump up when he gets excited. During the month that we sat for Sydney, we took him on lots of walks and hikes up to 12 km (but we have no doubts he could have gone on for longer) to Kits Beach, Jericho Beach Park, Spanish Banks (the off leash dog beach there was definitely one of his favourite spots), Haddon Beach, Pacific Spirit, Cypress Mountain, the Lynn Valley, and Dog Mountain in Mt Seymour Provincial Park. We also made sure to take him to the local off leash dog park (2 mins from the apartment) most days where he would run around and play / wrestle with other local dogs and then come home and crash out for a few hours. He loved the dog park for the humans almost as much as the other dogs and is a favourite with a lot of the people who go there. Sydney has great manners in the house, travels well in the car, and is very quiet - he hardly ever barked and slept through the night in the front room without a peep. We are really going to miss him. This is a great sit for a dog lover wanting to explore Kits and get out on lovely walks / hikes with a very sweet pup!
Daniela was an excellent host. We agreed to the sitting months in advance, and everything went as planned. That allowed us to schedule our trip with peace of mind. We always had excellent communication. The apartment is beautiful and very cozy in a perfect location in the down town of Davis. The 'michis' are very affectionate and well behaved, they welcomed us immediately. Definitely we would sit Daniela's home again!
This Desert Canyon retreat was truly a spectacular place. Bob and Pam were outstanding and we will miss our new buddy, Skye. Thanks, Autumn and Allen
I can highly recommend house sitting for Alethea and Owen. We looked after their adorable Ziggy for one week and it was an absolute pleasure. Ziggy is very affectionate and well behaved with a simple daily routine. She really enjoys her outings, is super well socialised with other dogs and people, and is loads of fun at the dog park where she loves chasing her ball and going for a swim. She walks and runs well on her lead too. Alethea and Owen are considerate and thoughtful hosts who made us feel most welcome in their fabulous home. We were provided with comprehensive house and pet notes, and they made sure we were comfortable in every way. The house is clean and tidy, and spectacularly located in a beautiful neighbourhood. They are super organised and great communicators with a fantastic support network should you need it. We really enjoyed our stay with Ziggy and would be more than happy to house sit for Alethea and Owen again.
Hayley made me feel very welcome at her beautiful home. Wren is an absolute sweetheart with buzzing character and lots of love. Had a very lovely time sitting for Hayley and spending time with Wren x
