Erika is so sweet and lovely to work with. She was very communicative beforehand and during the stay, sending lots of videos and photos of my pup! She was very comfortable jumping in and self sufficient and gave me great certainty she’d take good care of my pup and home, which she did! Place was left tidy and finn was left happy! Thanks Erika and Highly recommend :)
Amazing pet sitting opportunity! I loved everything about taking care of Koji. He is such a sweet and gentle dog, and so funny! He's so perfect and such a joy to take care of. It was so easy to communicate with Amanda and Tobi while they were away. The house has everything you need to be comfortable and it's a short walk (1 mi) to downtown Palo Alto, which Koji also enjoys.
We had a wonderful time looking after a Billy for Helen and Tim. Billy is a such a sweet dog to take care of. He is very affectionate, but so calm and a real joy to look after. The house was lovely, not too far from the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. It did unfortunately, but unsurprisingly, rain quite a lot whilst we were there so we didn’t see as much as we would have liked, but it’s in a great area nonetheless. It was a really comfortable place to stay and not too far either from Kirkby Lonsdale and about 20 minutes from Kendal. Helen was easy to get in touch with, and kept us up to date throughout the stay as well as in the lead up to us coming over. We would love to come back again. Thank you for everything :)
Review in Spanish, followed by review in English --------------------------------------- Muchas gracias a Deb y Brian por su confianza, gentileza y amabilidad. --------------------------------------- We spent an idyllic month with Scruffy and Max. Scruffy is a talking cat, has fascinating long tales to recount, an absolute chatterbox! He demands much attention, stroking, tummy rubs, any kind of love. Which is not difficult, he’s such a loving fella. Scruffy is not really an apt name, he’s super super fluffy, not really scruffy, well he wouldn’t be if you could just keep up with his tangled matted fur. He’s got the coat of a fluffy Persian cat, but way more personality. He’s so pretty we kept having to remind ourselves he’s not a girl. As much as he wants to be loved, do not pick him up, he is not a cat to be cuddled! A truly lovable man. Then there’s 8kg Max. I have never seen such a massive cat. Not fat, just all cat. A tomcat without the aggro personality of a tomcat. A fine looking gentleman who is a gentle giant. Max, yes! must be cuddled. He can’t get enough cuddling, would spend hours purring loudly in your arms if you could cope with the weight! I can’t imagine two more adorable cats. And nothing to do for them besides love them …. they go to the toilet outside, don’t have fussy appetites, don’t need any medication, there really isn’t anything to do for them besides top up their food, change their water, and we were told it was ok to leave them alone for a couple of days. Not that we did, where could be better than the Dordogne in springtime!! The boys are not allowed inside the gîte due to possible cat allergies as it is used as an AirBNB. So difficult for them and us, not to have them inside with us!! We never met Deb, though feel as though we know her through phone calls, so many emails and WhatsApp messages and photos. We spent the first night and following day getting to know Brian, what a darling he is, very well-suited to Deb apparently! Dear Brian drove all the way to Bordeaux to meet us off our several-hours-delayed flight. The arrangement was that he’d pick us up from Mussidan railway station but the French pension strikers had other ideas. Brian proceeded to drive us for miles around the Dordogne showing us places to make our stay more enjoyable and explaining about the area, he even took us to meet neighbours Bill and Nicky (about 5km away) who turned out to be our friends, they were on call for all sorts of peculiar questions. Bill would receive a simple message query and next thing he’d be at the door to explain in person. When the housesit finished (before Deb and Brian arrived home) we needed transport to Bergerac airport. Bill insisted he would drive us there, but Deb asked on a local expat group where someone who was driving to the airport at the same time as our flight offered to take us. Such a lovely English community. I must learn to write more concise reviews, sorry! Now to our living conditions. The cutest stone gîte built in the 1800s, lovingly restored by Brian and Deb. Two bedrooms, each with en-suite. The coziest kitchen and living area, everything you could need for comfortable living including wifi and streaming. Loads of helpful information and brochures about local attractions of which there are SO many. And not one, but two, SUVs for our use. The perfect holiday. All I can say is wow, wow, wow!!! Thank you so much Brian, Deb, Max and Scruff ❤️
Tine was so welcoming and friendly and I felt immediately at ease in her beautiful home. Daisy and Dora are delightful and took me for a lovely walk around the surrounding fields 😍 I hope to see you all again soon 🙂
Cooper and Mr. Cooper are the sweetest! Such great boys! They have the cutest personalities and the sweetest disposition. Dani was awesome to work with and made my trip to the city an easy one. Excellent instructions on how to care for her pets. Their location is superb! I was able to spend a lot of time in Golden Gate Park with and without Cooper. I would take me a month to try the delicious restaurants just on her one block, yet alone the surrounding area. Amazing dining, steps from her building. It was a great experience!!!
Had the absolute pleasure of looking after Stark in this beautiful Brislington home. Got to meet Bobby on the first night, who was an epic lap dog and went from a high sped sprint to an old man’s dawdle on walks. He had a holiday at grandma’s on this occasion. Stark is easy to fall for! He loves his walks and jumping in the river. Will only have eyes for you if you have a ball or stick for him to chase. Pulls a bit on the lead on the way to the park, but super relaxed on the way home. Once he warms up with you, he will try his very best to be a lap dog too :) Jade and Dan were incredibly warm and welcoming. Super easy to communicate with. Would sit for them again in a heartbeat!
