We enjoyed caring for Lisa's home and 4 cats while they were away. All 4 cats were affectionate and we loved spending time with them. Location was near Greenwich with great bus connections nearby. GBP1.50 will get you into central London. There's a close grocery store and shops within easy walking distance. Communication with Lisa was quick and easy. If our schedules worked out we'd love to come back and watch the girls again.
Watching Nellie and Rory for Patricia and John was absolutely lovely. Patricia and John are such lovely people, very kind, helpful and caring, just like all their lovely neighbours in the very nice little village of Winfrith. Their house is perfect, with a beautiful garden where I loved sitting out with the doggies and just looking at the landscape after a warm day. Busses stop in front of the village shop every hour and can take you to the beautiful surrounding areas as well if you want to explore. I would definitely recommend this sit and looking forward to seeing Pat, John, Rory, Nellie and all their lovely neighbours soon again!
I absolutely LOVED my week at Anastasia's place with August! He is such an affectionate and spirited boy, full of personality, chatty, and both fun and comforting to be around. He loves to "help" with your work, and to make sure you know when it's time to get up... prepare for loads of nuzzles and kitty kisses! He really enjoys being brushed, chin and ear rubs, and playing tape measure. The night before I left, he treated me to a relaxing 10-minute biscuit massage. August is just the sweetest thing, and it was really hard to leave him. Anastasia's place is so eclectic and full of character, and feels like a real person who has had many adventures lives there. Anastasia herself is warm and welcoming, and so completely down to earth. Super comfy bed, and so many ways to make coffee (she also left me some fabulous local beans that were amazing!), and I used them all. The apartment is a short--maybe 5 minutes--and convenient bus ride from Columbia Heights Metro, an area where you can find pretty much anything you want. It's also half a block from a cute mom-and-pop corner store. You won't regret applying for this sit, and I hope to be invited back to spend more time with my chonky best bud August.
My experience with Linda, Bharat, and their animal crew was fabulous. We were in touch pretty much daily. They were very attentive to my own experience, as well as how things were going with the animals. But what made it really special is how they introduced me to their fabulous family and local community that helped keep me from being too lonely over the 3+ weeks, and definitely kept me in shape with their active friends as well as walks with Mina! Will definitely be sitting for them again and highly recommend.
Jennifer went above and beyond in her communication, preparation and making sure I had everything I needed before she left. She was also generous enough to invite me a day before as I had a gap in my sits, which I so appreciated. The big kitties are a breeze & very easygoing. The little kitten was the highlight of my stay. He's a bit like Dennis the Menace but oh so adorable, you'll forgive him everything! The hens are a league of their own; there's the smart one that constantly escapes the pen and the fluffy one who broods on golf balls to make them hatch. It's constant entertainment. Jenn has a beautiful and clean, quintessentially Californian, home. She's friendly & lovely & a joy to have met. Highly recommend this sit, if you can beat me to it ;)
Little Cleo and Chili are the sweetest, funny kitties . I enjoyed sitting with the so much. The apt is awesome! I walked to Surfside Beach several times during my sit and took the bus back, so easy! The apt has views of Lauderdale from the balcony and vies of Surfside from the bedroom, beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The pool is warm and perfect for laps. A great part of Miami, I highly recommend this sit!
