Heidi was the perfect example of a housesitter! We came across Heidi when looking for a housesitter over the Easter long weekend. As soon as we met over video call, we knew she would be a great fit for us and our cat Pancho. She was charismatic, warm and easygoing, all traits that continued to shine through as we planned the logistics for how we could allow her access to the house, even when we had an extremely early flight out. We immediately felt at peace leaving Pancho with her thanks to her love for cats, her considerate nature and her very open and reliable communication. During the sit she kindly indulged us with regular and detailed updates on Pancho, sharing photos and videos of his day to day that helped us not miss him too much. Heidi was even kind enough to stay an extra day when we had to push a flight back a day due to a really bad case of food poisoning. We felt so thankful and at ease when she was open to staying an extra day, especially given how comfortable Pancho had been with her so far. We came back to a welcome surprise of washed sheets/towels, a freshly cleaned home and even fresh flowers to brigthen up the flat - all of which were a comforting gift after having travelled back home on a delayed flight. An even better gift was finding Pancho completely at ease and following his regular routines - meaning that he had not felt his life had been disrupted in the slightest and had actually enjoyed Heidi's visit! We are so grateful for Heidi's help, warmth, kindness, communication and availability with Pancho and hope to reach out to her again when we need to use a housesitter's services again in the future.
