Shakiya was communicative, caring, and so responsible. She was flexible on timing, asked great questions about how to best care for Rudy, and sent us lots of pictures on our weekend away. We came home to a clean and organized house and a happy dog! We can’t recommend Shakiya more! She was so wonderful.
This was a wonderful sit. Johan gave us a good welcome guide with everything we needed to know about Hektor and Sushi before we arrived. Once there we had a two day introduction with Johan and his daughter Yeshy who were kind and hospitable. The house is beautiful and the town of Gatão was very peaceful. We became very fond of Hektor, he is a very gentle dog with a lovely nature. The old railway track was a great route to walk. Hektor sometimes needed encouragement on his walks as he liked to stop. You have to be careful as he puts a lot of things in his mouth! We were sad to leave him. Sushi was very easy and only came in the mornings and evening for food. This is a very clean and organised house which we appreciated. Overall we would reccomend this sit!
Caroline and Lucy made us very welcome when we arrived. They live in a very attractive new build with all the mod cons. The house is very comfortable. Dexter and Dolly are great characters and took to us quite well. They were very easy to walk in the neighbouring countryside. In the week we were there we managed to have a different walk each day. Broughton is only small with a wonderful community run cafe which we highly recommend. The price of the stock is quite competitive. Lovely coffee and cakes. Stockbridge is nearby and is quite vibrant with nice cafes, a well stocked co op, and lots of artisan shops. Well worth a few hours ambling about in itself. Thanks girls for choosing us and we wish you well with further house sits. We are returning to live in Australia otherwise we would have enjoyed a return to see Dexter and Dolly at some point. A recommended sit.
Staying at Elizabeth and Nathaniel's house was a dream! Such a beautiful home full of artistic touches and relaxing amenities (pool, sauna, clawfoot tub). Elizabeth was super easy to communicate with and their home is in an excellent location for exploring South Congress and other lively downtown Austin places. The two pups were great company. Wendell is so sweet and chill and Gustavo gets fun bursts of energy but also knows how to relax. Both dogs love nothing better than to lay on top of or near you whenever you're horizontal. A perfect sit for people who want a relaxing oasis with loving dogs in the heart of Austin! Highly recommend.
We cared for Bonnie and Rosie over Memorial Day weekend. This was shortly following a major storm that went through Houston, resulting in downed trees, electricity outages, etc. Alyssa was great with her communication several days in advance of the sit to let us know the status re: electricity. Fortunately, it came back on a couple of days before their vacation (and our petsit)! The home is beautiful and comfortable with all of the modern conveniences. The guest suite has a nice king bed with an en-suite that provides for plenty of quiet and privacy. Finally, the pups! They both adapted very quickly to having new people in their space. Bonnie is the more overtly affectionate of the two, but Rosie definitely enjoys her pets and belly rubs. They are both a bit excited when starting their walks, but they calm down very quickly and are quite easy to walk. They really enjoy going out back to see if they can catch squirrels and do a bit of sunbathing. And they seem most happy when you are just hanging out with them in the living room. Thanks to Alyssa and Ben for a relaxing petsit in their lovely home. We would welcome the opportunity to sit again in the future.
Charlie is a very loving and sweet lab who loves to play and loves a treat! Brigette was very quick to respond to any questions I had and provided a great house guide. I’d definitely be back ☺️
This was a wonderful sit! Kojak and Boone are the sweetest and I would come back to hang with them in a heartbeat. Mai left me clear and easy care instructions and the apartment was very cute and tidy. Kojak is gentle and friendly and loves to greet other dogs on walks and cuddle on the couch. Boone is super soft and loves watching the birds out the window and being brushed. The apartment is on a cute, quiet street in a great location, in between two of DC’s most popular neighborhoods with endless restaurants. I’d definitely recommend this sit!!
