Cat Sitters in Brooklyn, NY

Quai was super considerate and took great care of my home and pets. I came back to two contented cats and a tidy home. I was able to simply rest from my trip and hang with the kitties. The garden and plants were in great shape, too. At some point, I think a neighborhood cat must have treated one of my front yard plants as a nice, cool pillow (it's summer, and temps are in the 90s F). Out of concern, Quai sent a photo of the squashed plant right away, so there were no surprises (and it's a resilient plant, coming back around as I write this review)!

Lucy was great. Communication was easy and not too much. She came during a snow storm on time. Very reliable. The pets seem to be taken with her. We recommend. ;)

To sum up Clarice and Tom’s 25 Day Housesit for me in one word, ‘exceptional’. Clarice and Tom are beautiful souls, I knew this from our first video call. I also ascertained from this call that they had a big love of animals and that they were totally committed to taking excellent care of my pets and my home. There was something very special about this couple. And as time went on, this was very evident…… It is extremely difficult to fully capture the extraordinary work that this couple did during their stay. To begin with, they took excellent care of Maia and Lucy, my dogs. Lucy is a sheep dog cross, and a more outdoor than indoor dog. Lucy became Tom’s shadow. Tom did a lot of training with her, and this was very obvious from the moment I came in the door, and from reports from my sister and father who had witnessed this on their visits. They also looked after my two pet sheep, Lola and Zola, giving them fresh water, grain and hay every day; and took great care of my two cats, Ebonii and Stella Artois. Tom asked me if he could build a shelter for my Beloved Donkey, Nobby. I was beyond thrilled and very impressed to say the least. Tom proceeded to build the most amazing shelter for Nobby, dismantling the large old monstrosity that previously existed. This was the most precious gift to me. Nobby absolutely loves it and now spends most of his time in his very own ‘bachelor pad’. It’s a perfect build and visually very pleasing. I can’t imagine how much it would cost to pay somebody to build an equivalent. In addition, they groomed and brushed Nobby, and gave him fresh water and hay every day. Nobby looked wonderful and befitting of his new pad. Tom also took it upon himself to fix the lock on my front door, & to rebuild my large front wooden gate which was falling apart. Both masterfully done. I only wish that I could include ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures with this review. He also reinforced and mended the extensive fencing around the farm. I came home to all these wonderful surprises, as well as a perfectly groomed front lawn. Clarice sent me extensive daily updates and pictures. I am normally very anxious while I’m away, but, from the getgo, I felt relaxed at the end of every day, and content in the knowledge that my pets were being so well looked after. At one stage, Tom and Clarice called me to tell me that my dog Lucy needed to go to the vet - they had got an odour from Lucy, and based on their previous experience, correctly identified that her anal glands most likely required draining. They proceeded to take her to the vet, and had her treated. Tom and Clarice showed their great compassion and generosity by visiting my elderly father who lives next door on various occasions, and taking him to the nearest town to meet my brother. My brother would then take my father for a spin in his haulage truck. They also attended his 94th birthday party!! Tom and Clarice collected me from the bus on my return (they had dropped me to the bus on the morning of my flight too). I came home to a beautifully clean and tidied house and a gorgeous vegetarian meal prepared from scratch by Clarice. I have already asked Tom and Clarice to do my three/ four week sit next summer too, but unfortunately they’ll be on the other side of the world by then. I am so grateful to them for everything. They have promised to come visit Tim, me, and all the pets soon. They are forever friends and I feel truly blessed to have met these ‘Heaven sent’ people and housesitters. To whoever is lucky enough to have Clarice and Tom housesit for you, Congratulations, you’ve struck Gold!!!

We are so appreciative of Belu spending 10 days sitting for us and taking care of our cats! Our apartment is in an old building with a lot of “character” and she was understanding of all the quirks! She was responsive and kind. I messed up the dates of the sit, causing her to have to leave 24 hours earlier than anticipated, and she was flexible and understanding of the mistakes. Most importantly, our cats were happy and well taken care of when we returned.

Having Erica house sit was great. Usually the cats complain a lot when we get back from a trip. This time they made new friends, our house was safe and sound, our container garden, and plants were well cared for, and our home was shared with folks who appreciated the time and space. Erica's communication was just right, she asked clarifying questions and updated me on a few things. The pictures of happy cats were great. Our home was left neat and tidy. I woud gladly have a repeat sit. Thank you!

Christa did a fabulous job taking care of our two cats (including giving medication to one) and our home when we were away for the weekend. Her communication was clear and timely, she sent daily text updates with photos of the kitties and she left our house immaculate. We enjoyed meeting and talking with her and would gladly welcome her back anytime!

Elaina was an ideal zeewoi. She was a great communicator while still being self sufficient. She rolled with the punches in some relatively strange situations and took wonderful care of Wallace and Otis. The apartment was sparkling clean which was such a nice surprise after almost 2 months away from home. Definitely would trust Elaina again with any of our house sits

Amy was lovely and we were very pleased to have her look after Dougie for 9 nights. She was a great communicator before arrival and kept in touch every day showing the adventures she’d taken Dougie on. I’d recommend her to others.

Shawnacee was an excellent house and pet sitter for my dog kalu. She was communicative, flexible, and reliable. She came over before the visit and kalu fell in love with her kindness and positive energy immediately. She sent photos and video updates at least once, if not twice a day. I arrived home to a clean apartment and a very happy puppy. Don't hesitate to invite shawnacee into your home!

Imogen was great! We would absolutely recommend her and have her back any time. She took great care of our cats and left our place super neat and tidy. We got regular comms and photo updates while away - Thank you Imogen.

Where to start? Arielle could not have been a better sitter for our Pit Bull, Tyson! She took him on long walks, spent a lot of time with him, and tended to some medical issues that arose just before we left for our trip. He had an ear infection and needed both ears cleaned and treated daily. He also had some stomach problems (we are now attributing to stress/separation anxiety) and was vomiting a lot. Arielle took Tyson to the vet for us! He was much better within a few days, and Arielle gave Tyson medication and followed the vet's instructions regarding what she fed him, which I'm sure, was a pain, but she never complained, just continued to take excellent care of him. She kept us informed daily and sent cute photos and videos. Arielle left our house in better condition than she found it. If you need an intelligent, compassionate, kind, responsible house/pet sitter, call Arielle!

Lucy and James took excellent care of Jelly, our home, and our plants! Sylvie is such a sweet baby, and she and Jelly really took to one another. We were really impressed by the photos and cute videos that they sent us of Jelly; the photos were better than any we have taken ourselves. They took Jelly to the beach, the park, and other dog-friendly places. They treated her like part of their family, and we appreciate that they included her in their fun! When we returned, our home was clean, the plants were thriving, and the pup was happy. From meeting them in person and from all our communication, we could tell that Lucy and James are genuinely kind and very responsible people. We felt at ease during our vacation knowing that Jelly was in good hands. I could list more compliments, but suffice it to say, I would recommend them as sitters to anyone. We would love for them watch Jelly any time! Thank you Lucy, James, and Sylvie! 💗
