I really enjoyed my housesit with Leslie's fur babies. The location is wonderful-the beach is just across the street. The home is warm and cozy-it's like being in a tropical garden. Looking forward to maybe doing it again in the fall.
It was a pleasure to sit for Wayne and David at their beautiful chambre d’hôte in the Dordogne region. It was unfortunate they decided to take their two Airedale Terriers with them on holiday as we would have enjoyed their company. We still enjoyed our time at their home and being surrounded by nature. They have plum orchards around their property and vineyards as far as the eye can see. The views of the valley below are stunning. This was not our first opportunity to meet Wayne and David as we were guests in their home earlier in the year. Through our conversations we shared that we were house sitters with THS. They were also THS homeowners who regularly needed sitters. We were pleased to be invited to return as sitters. We arrived the afternoon prior to their departure and covered the extensive orientation of the property. Once we completed the walk thru David prepared a simple but very delicious meal. Both David and Wayne handle specific sides to the management of the property which helps during the orientation process. We were thankful for the extensive introduction to the property. A few days into our stay a large branch had snapped from one of the massive spruce trees. Knowlege of where tools were kept made it easy for us to clear the debris and move it to an area for the gardener. Wayne was very helpful with providing visitor information and an extensive list of restaurants and surrounding activites in the area. The home is beautiful and very large with lots of charm and character. Our room was comfortable with an ensuite bathroom and door exiting to the pool. We enjoyed the use of their heated outdoor pool which was a welcome respite during an unexpected heat spell. Pool maintenance was easy, as it was mostly automatic. David is well versed in the benefits of yoga and has built an amazing studio on the property. We took full advantage of his studio for our daily stretching ritual. What a treat! David and Wayne are very welcoming and good communicators. Unfortunately, we had to leave without saying our goodbyes in person but want to thank them again for a most enjoyable stay. We would highly recommend this sit!
This is an amazing sit! Tamyra and Ben are incredibly gracious hosts and lovely humans. They live in a beautiful area of Santa Cruz very near UCSC which is close to everything. Their backyard is paradise and deer and bunnies play in the greenbelt behind the house. Kula is the absolute sweetest dog. She is gentle, loving and a joy to take care of. I fell in love with her. I would sit for them again in a heartbeat.
We had a wonderful sit and really enjoyed the peacefulness of the location, the beautiful home and all the animals where great! We meet up with the Cole family before hand and they were super friendly and great hosts! Alex made sure taking care of everyone was super easy, he left detailed instructions and food within easy access. Sita is the only inside pet and loves to be near you at all times, she also loves playing catch with her frisbee. Sita will also bring you shoes or tea towels as presents it’s the cutest! Frida is a gentle giant, she loves her outside bath and long naps throughout the day. She gets along with sita so well and it’s so entertaining to watch them both play. The goldfish, chickens and sheep where so easy to care for and you just make sure they have food and water at all times. I would highly recommend sitting for Alex and all his pets and would be happy to come back if the timing allows!
We had a great catsit with Ares! He is the sweetest kitten with the biggest heart; playful, funny, sweet, cuddly. Arpi made us feel very welcome by informing us of Ares routines, and info of the apartment in general. She was very easy to correspond with during the whole stay, before and after. We would absolutely return!
They have the sweetest little dog Biggie - we had some lovely walks in the suburb and in Kennington Park. A quaint apartment that's super central, quick and easy to get to the underground and into town if need be. Had a fantastic weekend based in their apartment with Biggie.
