It was a pleasure to stay in Dolly's and Kate's home. Dolly is a wonderful mixture of playfulness, affection and independence. Kate's house is pleasant with a very modern well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. It is in a great location with transport and major roads all close by. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend looking after Dolly, and Kate's home.
Maggie is a friendly little dog who welcomes you into her home. She immediately adopted Geoff as her best friend and was happy to go on walks with us and to enjoy our company. Kaye's home is well equipped and comfortable and the weather in Wodonga at this time of year is delightful. We enjoyed exploring the Albury Wodonga area and trying out different foods from around the region. Overall a very enjoyable pet and house sitting experience.
Staying for a week in Wendi and Jeroen's charmingly restored townhouse on the edge of the historic town of Sineu was a pleasure. With its covered terrace, swimming pool, and stunning view of the old town, it has a very relaxed vibe. Sineu's location in the centre of the island also makes it an ideal base for exploring the local countryside. Dana herself, although shy at first, soon warmed to me and we became good friends. I had no experience of 'perros de agua' before but she turned out to have a lot of character and is a lot of fun!
Seattle is far different today than it was 20+ years ago when I last visited, but one thing hasn't changed -- the natural beauty of the coastal Pacific Northwest. Wendy and Blake's home on a hill overlooking Lake Washington puts all of it in your field of view right from the front porch, a place we spent a considerable amount of time reading and drinking (What else in Seattle?) coffee. Boomer and Quinn were always eager to keep close company there, often in our laps, and even happier to go on walks to the lake and through the parks and neighborhoods, sniffing everything they could find along the way. Blake and Wendy's 100+ year old home is situated within a fabulous undulating array of hills and variety of home styles, a far cry as one can get from the many cookie cutter neighborhoods that sprang up in the early 2000's. We were fortunate to arrive the evening before their departure, so they had time to show us a route Boomer and Quinn would enjoy, then treated us to boisterous conversation and a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. The 10 minute walk to the tram station from their remodeled home was as easy as out the back door, down the hill, right, straight, and left. Blake also generously lent us his Orca card to use, which saved us a fare each way! The Public Market is massive, and crazy busy on weekends, yet easy to access via public transport, but we barely scratched the surface of everything Seattle has to offer in one day. Saturday evening we drove up to Kerry Park with our burgers from Dick's Drive-In to watch the sunset over the city, only to discover 300+ people were already there taking selfies of the natural spectacle behind them as it painted the downtown skyline a brilliant orange before lighting up all on its own. Pro tip: If you're going for a photo, get there early! We'd jump at the opportunity to watch Boomer and Quinn the next time we're on the West Coast, as it was hard to leave them behind after just a couple days. You would be wise to apply if you're in the area and have the time to watch over these two love bugs.
It was lovely to take care of Roy and Laura’s home and kitties. Nellie was such a cuddle bug and Flo a playful little girl. Both of them were adorable and easy to care for. Roy and Laura picked us up from the train station when we arrived and we had a chat around a coffee before they left. They showed us everything related to the house and cats before leaving and they were always available by text or call as well. Their home was very clean and comfy. A sweet little family we’d be happy to sit for in the future🤍
I can’t recommend this sit highly enough! Clare and Catherine made me feel at home immediately and it was a pleasure to share a meal and conversation on my first evening. The house is stunning, bright and spacious and extremely comfortable. The location is just perfect, being close to the beach and the great FISH shop at Hove Lagoon. But the highlight was Mr Mewlington, the cuddliest, sweetest cat on the planet. He can come and go as he pleases but he chose to spend a lot of his time following me around and purring like a steam engine! I miss him so much and would gladly sit for him whenever I am available. Thank you Clare and Catherine!
