Simone
Nora is such an easy dog to fall in love with... and we did. She is such a well-behaved puppy and super smart. Simone is working on her training and it shows. She asked that we reinforce it, which was easy and gratifying because Nora really does know a lot of commands. Nora was timid when we arrived, but after a short time, she was all love and belly rubs. We have some friends in the neighborhood and when we introduced Nora to them, she was very friendly and not at all shy. We did notice that she initially gravitates to women rather than men.
One thing to mention is that we were asked not to leave Nora alone for more than 2 hours. This is something to consider because it did make going out for dinner a little rushed. (And there is lots of good food in Newburyport!) However, as Nora is growing and training every day, I imagine that she will learn pretty quickly to be alone for longer stretches of time. She is easy to walk, she understands and follows commands, and she just goes with the flow.
Simone and Christopher are very hospitable and responsive. Their home is so comfortable and in a great location, walkable to all parts of Newburyport. There are beautiful places to walk along the waterfront and on the rail trail. There is good shopping and great food. We especially enjoyed sitting outside on their patio couch just reading and relaxing with Nora at our side.
Thank you so much, Simone and Christopher! We would gladly return to spend more time with sweet Nora.

David
We certainly enjoyed staying at their beautiful place and tending to Freddie and Bowie. Just super dogs and fun to play with. Very well behaved and no trouble at all.
David and Lisa could not have been nicer and are so interesting to talk to. They are exactly why we enjoy housesitting so much. We hope to do a repeat!!

Debra is so sweet and caring and her dogs were adorable. They do like to bark at the street and sometimes at night. But the home is lovely and the hot tub is enjoyable.

Laure
The housesit with Frimousse was amazing 🤩☺️
Laure and her two kids welcomed me super friendly, showed me around in the house and gave me recomandations what I could do in the time here. ☺️
The house is super big and has everything you need!! Frimousse is a super easy and very lovely cat. She loves to cuddle with you when you are on the couch and she is also is the first cat who doesn‘t eat all her food when you give it to her -> she eats when she‘s hungry and only the amount she wants so that was super surprising and funny for me 😂
The house is very close to Basel and there’s a Tram Station about 15min walking distance from the house that brings you super easy to the next supermarket (where you could also walk to for 35-40mins one way) or Basel and from there everywhere 😉
Laure is a super friendly host we always stayed in contact and when I had a question or once I had a problem with the heating system she always helped me out and was super understanding!! I could stay one more night when they already arrived and Laure brought me to the Tram Station so that I didn’t had to carry my luggage.
I can totally recommend this housesit and I would always come back 🥰
Thanks for everything Laure!! ☺️

MICHELLE
I don’t even know where to start..
Michelle is one of the most amazing person I’ve ever met with two adorable and lovely dogs. To see how loved her pawed babies are is just heart-warming.

Michelle is not only a pet owner who I sitted for, I gained a new friend here. She is kind and helpful, empathetic and fun. Communication was easy and clear since the beginning. She provides a welcome guide once she agreed and accepted your application with all information you may need during your sit. She also offered me due to travel organization to come and stay a bit earlier if needed as well as to stay longer if required. A gesture I really appreciate!

Her house is amazing, decorated with love and detail, spotless clean. The minute you walk in you feel welcomed.

The most important part: the dogs.
Nala and Bella are two sweet and easy going dogs. Both love to be petted, Bella for sure more. As Michelle describes her: Bella is going to be your shadow. Due to their age I hadn’t have to walk them.

Thanks for your trust in me, Michelle! I’m going to miss your two babies as well as you! If you ever decide to visit Germany, you will always have an open door at my apartment.
