We are so glad to have found Stephanie and Dai. They were like angels. It was so very fortunate for us that they were flexible and were able, at short notice (thanks Ryanair) to come earlier than originally planned and stay a day later (family medical emergency), at the end of the sit. Without that kindness we would have been in a muddle. Scooty and Frieda barely noticed a change. They were relaxed and happy on our return. Another extraordinary detail about Stephanie and Dai is that everything in the house was where we left it 😄...and clean. A capable, unflappable couple who we can't recommend highly enough.
This is Effie and Eugenia's second sit for us and they took EXCELLENT care of our dog, Nathan, and our cat, Arthur. The boys really loved having them as their companions for two weeks and were happy and healthy when we returned home. E & E's communication, organization and cleanliness are on point and we hope we can to rely on their great care in the future.
Crystal started her sit with her adult daughter Deborah who stay for the first part of the 2 week sit. They were both interesting and outgoing individuals and we enjoyed getting to know them and they quickly became great friends with Lily and Ruby who took to their kind energy and outgoing personalities. We received regular updates, photos and messages while we were away and our girls were obviously happy. Since our return, all our regular dog walking friends have told us of meeting this incredibly nice lady who was house sitting for us and have regaled us with their many conversations. Our home was well cared for and despite our 12 hour flight delay on the way home it was lovely to be able to return without any stress to come home to. During the second week when Deborah had returned to the USA and Crystal was on her own with both dogs, we realised that Ruby needed much more walking than Crystal was used to and had to ask our local professional dog walker to come in daily to take Ruby for proper exercise. We realised that when the sit was agreed Ruby was a very young puppy requiring gentle exercise- we have now updated her profile to reflect her more energetic needs for future house sitters.
