Kevin was very easy to communicate with and very kind and considerate. We really enjoyed the home and location. Millie is a wonderful senior pitbull who was not shy at all. She slept most of the day on her comfy couch but enjoyed a sniffing walk around the block.
Stephen and Siobhan welcomed us into their beautiful home with open arms, a card and gifts of flowers, chocolates, tea cakes, bread and wine and generously offered us the use of any food in the fridge and grocery cupboard, as well as use of their gym equipment. They introduced us to their gorgeous young male pups, Monty and Nico, explained their feeding routine and how to administer Monty's medication. The pups are still young and learning new commands and routines. They are affectionate and enjoy company and rubs, romping together, exploring the beautiful garden and playing fetch. The guest bedroom is tastefully furnished and the comfortable bed was made up with fresh bed linen and ample towels, soap and toilet paper were provided in the modern, clean bathroom. Communication was excellent before and during our stay and in addition, we received detailed typed out home and pet care instructions. We received thank you gifts on their return. Stephen and Siobhan are a friendly, gracious and generous couple and it was a joy to take care of their home and two lovable pets. Kind regards. Keith & Julia Hutchinson
Sly is such a sweet boy, he just wants to be around and to be loved. And the house is in a beautiful, remote part of LA, which felt like a pleasant escape from the chaos. Beautiful walks with Sly, but he is very anxious walking around the neighborhood. Joe warned me about this, and gave some good tips, and they left wonderful, detailed directions for navigating the house and Sly. Would recommend this sit to anyone looking for a little retreat to nature, but not to someone looking for the tourist version of LA.
Joy was a great host, she was a good communicator from the start, and we had lots of time to discuss the details of the sit. Her humble abode is very central, right on one of the main streets, it's close to the city centre, and just blocks from the gorgeous ocean. Cozy and clean, and great work desk. I sat her two rescues and cousins cat who were all very sweet, with their own personalities. Dante who won my heart over the most, is the most sensitive, and still afraid of people, unless it's in his comfortable zones like the bed getting a treat. The northern island is so beautiful and I took advantage of walks along the ocean almost daily. Lovely place, and would recommend !!
Nancy is wonderful! Super relaxed, an easy person to call friend, and loves her pups. Her house is in a great location for conveniences or hiking South Mountain. All within a couple miles. Echo was super quiet and easy. Charles was great to walk. He would take the leash in his mouth and lead the way! I felt completely comfortable walking him. Echo seemed a little sore for my short visit and wasn’t interested in walking. They would both lay outside for a little bit to enjoy the fresh air. They’re well trained and know they’re routine. Especially when it came to treats.
A beautiful area and comfortable home with lots of countryside walks. Abbs the cat such a pretty and sweet creature - the easiest of clients ! She loves to cuddle up if you sit for long enough. Great location for exploring further by car. Very friendly locals who really made me feel welcome and provided lots of useful information.
