I stayed at Giselle's and Micheal's to take care of Teddy, Cherry and Calcifer for a total of 17 days. Giselle and Michael were very welcoming, from my first contact and throughout the sit. Communication was excellent and they were lovely hosts, offering to pick me up off the train and asking if I needed any groceries etc for my stay. All the pets, or kids, are sweethearts with their own personalities. Cherry is a bit older but still joined in play time, Calicfer was a little nervous at first but soon became comfortable. When they wanted some cuddles or love they would let you know but most of the time they liked to relax in their chosen spots. As the weather was getting colder they spent most of their time inside. Calcifer was a bit more curious but very gentle and Cherry was super chilled and liked a good head rub. Teddy is a young golden retriever and gentle natured. As I work from home he would relax on the sofa and patiently wait until it was his walk time. I managed to find a fenced dog park where he could play fetch to burn off some energy, there are many busy roads around and he needs to be kept on the lead. He is a strong dog and pulls a little, but Giselle and Mike are training him, after a few walks we got into a better rhythm. He is such a sweet dog and I miss our walks. The apartment is in a quiet residential area and there is a local shop within a few minutes walk and then a retail park with an Asda about 10minutes walk. I got the bus into town once which took less than 10minutes and the bus stop was a short distance away. Giselles apartment is small but has everything you need with the added bonus of a garden, the bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in and I might have to ask where they bought their pillows from!!! The kitchen is well equipped and I enjoyed my morning coffee with the espresso machine. They are a lovely couple, very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. If I was unsure of anything they would get back to me quickly and I know they appreciated updates and occasional pictures as you can tell they adore their fury family. Thanks both for a lovely stay and I wish you all the best for the future.
I absolutely loved to stay with Mikey and Milly. Mikey is a super cuddlebuddy and so smart, he cuddled and slept every night and morning with me. And Milly needs a little more time to feel safe around you, but once you win her heart she loves to cuddle and get brushed on the couch. And sleep close next to you. The house is super lovly and Mikey and Millys humans are very friendly and welcomed me in a heartbeat, it is absolutely beautiful to go on walks i saw kangaroos and even two koalas 🐨 I will miss Mikey and Milly so much. Thank you so much for thrusting me with your loved ones.
We immediately fell head over heels in love with Cheryl’s entire fur family. Rocky, Birdie, and Summer are the absolute sweetest, most well-behaved pets. They quickly became our besties and although our stay was only for a few days, it was hard to leave our new friends! Cheryl’s home is beautiful, modern and stylish, extremely clean and comfortable. Wonderful pet sit!
This experience with Cuzco has been wonderful. First of all, thanks to Laura and David who trusted us and let us take care of their adorable Cuzco. Cuzco is a very easy dog to take care of, he is affectionate, he is fun, and when you take him for a walk he flies freely through the park and returns when you call him. In other words, He has a great callback which is nice while you walk through the huge and beautiful park in Peckham. Cuzco is well educated and we quickly gained trust despite not knowing each other. It was a unfortunate not to be able to meet David and Laura but they have left everything ready for us to have the best stay in their very beautiful and comfortable house. They have given us recommendations to go eating in the neighborhood, which is very nice, residential and quiet. Very well connected. It has been a pleasure to do this PetHousesitting, since we have been able to spend the holidays away from our family but with a loving and furry friend. We would repeat it! Best regards Family!
Maki was a darling to sit for, very vocal and interested in things. Maki loves boxes, it took less than 20 seconds after I had emptied the box before it was occupied, Ha! Valeria explained everything I needed to know and the welcome pack was complete. She made me very welcome. The area is so interesting, lots of nice places to eat and craft shops.
