Drew was great! He sent me updates and pics everyday while I was gone. Blu received a long walk everyday and looked like he was enjoying his time with Drew! Drew also left the house in a great condition and cleanliness when I arrived back home. Would welcome him back anytime to watch Blu.
What a wonderful sit to spend time with beautiful Ted who is so gorgeous. He has such a gentle and soft nature, you can't help but love him. Not to forget Serafina who adores you and loves to be near you. We were really spoilt with their attention and affection. We explored lots of the outstanding countryside on our walks with Ted - the River Itchen - a chalk stream - very special - we took many photos. Ilenia and her family were brilliant with communicating and looking after our needs. A truly special opportunity we throughly enjoyed. Thank you.
We adored our stay at Kerrie and Greg’s even though it was for just a few days. The property is really lovely with a rustic feel set in the bush. Great vistas from and some great places to hang out on the property to have a beer and take it all in, including some bouncing wallabies. Kerrie and Greg were very welcoming and ran through everything with us. They are clearly generous kind people. Jynky was a darling, very sensitive and loving. Great to see a dog of her age in such beautiful condition. She is clearly thoroughly loved by Kerrie and Greg. Jynky loves you spending time with her throwing her ball - she’s still very fast and agile and returns with it in seconds ready for another throw. We love hiking and Kerrie suggested a fabulous walk around the local ridges, where you can take Jynky too - she helped pull me up some of those hills! The walk is not for the faint-hearted, it’s a 10km loop or 13km loop if you want to visit the waterfall too, but we really enjoyed it. The chickens were a breeze to look after. Kerrie gave us good advice re just waiting for the chickens to put themselves to bed, rather than trying to coax them in. It’s very rewarding going into the coop to pick up freshly laid eggs. Suffice to say we enjoyed our poached eggs for breakfast! As our stay was short, we didn’t have to anything with the cows, just keep an eye on them. Communication with Kerrie and Greg was easy and they were prompt in responding. We sent them regular updates and photos as it was the first time she’d had a sitter since she lost her best pal, Jet Bear, about 6 months ago, and it’s taken her some time to come to terms with it. Great to see she’s now enjoying life again. This sit suits people who are happy to stick around and absorb the beautiful area whilst caring for Jynky, the chickens and the cows. I'm rather late leaving my feedback sorry, ☺️ but my house sit for Tara was such a great experience, better late than never! Tara's cats and gorgeous rescue dogs are such characters. Tara welcomed me warmly and introduced me to her friends so I'd have company from time to time. I loved Ayvalik, and would happily return. Highly recommended.
Michelle and Fred are one-in-a-million kind of people. They are incredibly open, friendly, and generous. They provided us with a thorough and helpful guide and welcomed us into their home the afternoon before they left. We shared a meal and delightful conservation and got to know them and Harley and Piper as well as their routines. Their home is a dream for anyone who loves lake life and the great outdoors. With the lush greenery, canopy trees, and colorful flowers, it's honestly like living in a curated botanical garden. However, the best part of our time there, hands down, was getting to know Harley and Piper. These girls are super well-behaved, obedient, loving, and silly. It's clear how much these sweet pups are loved. We are so grateful that Fred and Michelle trusted us to watch over them. Have no hesitation about house and pet sitting for them. It will be the BEST experience!
Katherine was really responsive and easy to work with. Her kitty Jozinha is super sweet. I had a great time pet and plant sitting for Katherine and would love to sit for them again. I highly recommend applying if you're considering it. Their apartment is in a great location and is a short walking distance from shops and cafes.
I had a wonderful stay with Bruce and Elsie. They are the sweetest, most easy-going duo. They welcomed me into the pack right away. Also, Jeff and Sarah have an incredibly lovely home with lots of great light and art. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to pet-sit / house-sit for them and hope to do again soon.
