This was our first trip to Australia and we were so lucky to stay with Albie at Claire and Stuart’s home in Melbourne! Claire and Stuart are the warmest and most generous hosts! We spent the day prior to the start of the sit with them and they showed us around the neighborhood - pointing out good places to walk Albie, where to shop, etc. We enjoyed visiting with them and had a delicious dinner prepared by Stuart! Albie is a fabulous Wheaten terrier. He is a great companion and is particularly fond of romps at the beach! Be warned - he will bat his long eyelashes at you and soon win over your heart!!! He enjoys just being with you when you’re reading or watching tv. He does got a burst of energy around 8 in the evening and wants to play with you in the back yard. The chickens were easy and laid their first eggs while we were there! The house’s location is ideal and a couple minute walk to the bus to Sandringham station. We found public transport excellent and easy to use to reach the CBD. The quality is life is wonderful in Melbourne with arts, museums, beaches, venues, coffee shops, and restaurants in abundance. Communication with the hosts was exemplary and we appreciated their hospitality and genuine concern that we enjoy our stay in Melbourne. They even arranged a few days at doggie daycare which put them in the THS hall of fame in our opinion! Their home and garden are so clean and comfie- there were nice places to sit both in sun and shade. Don’t hesitate for a sec if you are invited to sit! We would return anytime and miss Albie and his family!
