Wow! What a wonderful setting and position. A spacious house with lovely views just 5 minutes walk across a couple of fields to the edge of the New Forest and its limitless walks, yet a 5 minute stroll to a local pub (which we didn't try). A little further to a local shop and a short drive to a selection of supermarkets and a town centre. We would recommend a car though as there are so many lovely places to visit around. We walked across country (about 40 minutes each way) to the Alice Lisle Pub which has a large garden and lake views. Caroline and Mike were friendly hosts, good communicating and had thoughtfully cleared wardrobe space and kitchen cupboard space for us. They are very fond of their animals and outdoor life. They had someone local looking after the horses and it was reassuring to see the horses return to the home paddock each day - we felt quite proprietorial without having to lift a finger! Tiggy is a perfect cat, friendly and loving. Tolly, however needs quiet, calm carers as she is very anxious and lives mostly outside. When she does come in she wants affection but doesn't know how to relax enough to enjoy it. She was getting more used to us each day, but did still nip on occasion. We think she would get more relaxed the longer a sit goes on. They'd both like to share your bed (at different times!), Tiggy just sleeps but Tolly sees it as playtime and can't read the clock! We did eventually keep them both out of the bedroom and they were fine with that, and still loved us in the mornings. Caroline and Mike have lived in the house a long time and had worked hard to try to get it ready for visitors and we appreciated their efforts, however for us we would have liked it to be cleaner. We can cope with dust, especially in such a large house, but so much in the kitchen was sticky, grimy or chipped. It's very much the home of outdoor animal lovers, however we do feel that future sitters might find it doesn't quite meet the 5 star rankings that we have experienced elsewhere, hence the 4 stars we've given it. Having said that, it is well worth doing for the location, size and friendly hosts.
It was a stunning experience to sit for Melanie in beautiful Luxemburg. Her cuties are absolutely adorable and the most pleasant personalties you could ever imagine. I already miss their friendly furry faces and soft paws.The dog loved to go on long walks and play in a nearby dog park. He is not only a pretty and positive young Cockapoo male, but also very smart. Old cat Lady Steph got better each day with the medicine she had to take and lovely tomcat Theo definitely deserves the name Golden Fur. Also was I very fortunate to meet Melanies Mom, who welconed me warmly and explained everthing I needed to know. We had such a good time! Melanie had prepared a most delicious curry. She was always available in case a question arose. Her lightflooded and tastefully decorated apartment has got a magnificent view and is perfectly located. Melanie even offered me her garage for parking, however, it is easy to get around without a car. Thank you for having me - will happily be back.
We housesat for Zak for just under 2-weeks in November. Zak is a delightful cat who loves a stroke and brush when he comes in, but also loves the outdoor world! He’s very easy to care for, as is the house. Lynn and Roger were very friendly, we met them at the end of the sit and had dinner! We’d highly recommend this sit. You need a car!
A wonderful sit! Beautiful house, sweet dogs who are easy to take care of and the chickens lay a few eggs ( though can sometimes offer a little challenge to get all 3 into their hutch at night!) James and Lucy were very welcoming witha delicious lunch, gave great instructions & communicated well during our stay. Highly recommend this sit - we hope our schedules coincide in the future so we can spend more time with Titus & Bertie.
We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, stylish house, close to wonderful coffee shops and bakeries! Our host communicated well and had great tips for local restaurants and activities. Sosa was very sweet, easy to walk, and well behaved. We recommend this stay and would love to return!

Such a caring and helpful business. Our dog is a rescue and can be a little nervous but he loves going to Just Purrfect. We started using them when we moved to the area and needed dog boarding while we moved. He now goes there for daycare and grooming. He is always very relaxed when we collect him and goes straight back into his usual routine. Every single member of staff that we have meet there have been incredibly friendly and reassuring. I’m so glad we found them!
The team at Just Purr-fect have been amazing with our 2½ year old rescue girl and take care to match dogs who will play well with each other and complement each others energy levels. She always comes back happy and clearly having had a great time. The team are also great at responding to any questions promptly.

Just Purr-fect are on top when it comes to animal day care and boarding, they regularly look after our Dog and he always has a fantastic time! The highlight for me is she brought 4 dogs (mine & my daughter’s) to my wedding so they could be in the photos. It was absolutely amazing and made my day. Having moved to the area we needed to find a new cat sitter (which I was quite nervous about following a bad experience with another company). Sarah was great with our older, quite timid cat. She sent photos daily to reassure us she was ok, gave her medication and even watered our plants. I absolutely trusted her with the house and our much loved cat and will be using her again when we next go on holiday.
Cannot thank you enough for helping us out with our French bulldog coco! We recently went away to Florida and our frenchie was staying at my father in laws house! Being away for a few weeks meant that she would need regular walks and exercise ! I came across Sarah and I’m so glad that we did! We had regular updates and photos and she gave coco the best walks! Sarah looked after our cockapoo Sid on my daughter’s wedding day and did a fantastic job including arranging a super photo with the bride and groom and being lovely with all the guests and family she met. Sid seemed really happy with her. We’d like our daughter to do the whole day again and would definitely want Sarah back for that! Highly recommended.

The first time I visited the house it was very warm and welcome. dogs. Had lots of room to play & run around, the first time Megan went and stayed there. I’ve got lots of updates of her holiday, she always likes going back she’s always very happy to see Alison which makes it much nicer when you go on holiday, knowing your dog is well looked after and very happy. With pictures of your dog playing with the other dogs
Alison is definitely the pack leader, so my dog can just relax and enjoy her holiday which she does every time. Alison knows dogs and how to handle them, how to introduce them to each other, how look after them and their individual needs and foibles. My dog, Martha certainly has plenty of the latter! Martha always looks forward to staying with 'Aunty Alison', immediately bonds with her yet is pleased to see us when we return.
Went to board my dogs with Alison. Waited all day for a reply to be told she doesn't accept German shepherd's. Even after I did explain he is a soft baby! Very sad to have wasted my time as there is no mention of this on website. Just for your reference guys I'm guessing she doesn't accept large dogs!! Not happy especially after she didn't even give a reason!!
I cant recommended Alison highly enough. She has looked after our labrador Conker for years and I wouldn't board him anywhere else. As a Veterinary nurse I trust Alison to give him his daily medication and look after him as I would. He doesn't want to come home after his stays and that's recommendation enough for me!
Woody gets spoilt with exciting walks and he loves snuggling by Alison's log burner! I get daily updates and always receive pictures of him whilst we're away!

Our Vizsla absolutely LOVES spending days / nights with Dottie. I have 100% trust in her that our dog is safe, well cared for and stimulated when in day care or boarding overnight. Dottie provides us with regular updates throughout the day and we have some gorgeous photos / videos of the dogs having a great time. I cannot rate Dottie highly enough, she clearly adores all of the dogs she cares for.
Dottie is great with my 1.5 year old cockapoo Maisie 💕 Maisie's also been an anxious dog around strangers, but loves other dogs and used to have the most awful separation anxiety when away from us - she'd be quiet, withdrawn, sad and unengaged when left with friends or even several dog walkers we tried! We wanted her to know that is was possible to enjoy time with people outside the family and that is exactly what Dottie's home from home style doggy daycare offers!! 😊 Dottie took the time to meet us (and Maisie) prior to taking her on to ensure she could meet all of our needs. She was very thorough on taking our details, Maisie's care needs and reassuring us a really needy 'dog pawrents'! Maisie has been happy to walk into Dottie's every week and now loves her weekly day at daycare. And comes back absolutely exhausted after playing with other dogs and training with Dottie. Dottie's sends us photos and videos throughout the day go reassure us Maisie is having fun - and we are so happy to have found somewhere that Maisie loves and thay we trust 💗 Thank-you Dottie xxx
Saxon has been going to Dottie’s for a couple of months now and absolutely loves his home from home experience. As he’s only a puppy it was really important that he felt part of the family when at day care. Dottie loves our boy like her own and I love seeing all the pup dates of what he’s getting up to. Dottie even helps with the training we are learning from puppy class ensuring a consistent approach both at home and away. Dottie is always so accommodating and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants their dog to have lots of fun, hugs and safe play. We will be using Dottie for a long time as our boy feels so at home.
I know Mutley had a great time in the picturesque setting, with other dogs to play with. I had lots of updates, videos & pictures .Dottie has a calm & kind nature& you know your beloved pet is being well looked after. Our cocker spaniel Indie has been visiting Dottie on day trips for a few months now and always has the most amazing time. Dottie is fantastic with her and really makes it feel like a home from home. Indie always comes back tired from all the running about, which is impressive for our cocker! We always get lots of lovely photos and videos from Dottie on what Indie is getting up to.
I was recommended Dottie’s services, numerous times, when I asked for help finding a dog sitter on a local residents Facebook group. Dottie was immediately responsive to my enquiry and asked to meet Frank (my Schnoodle). I knew on arrival at Dottie’s doggy friendly home that he would be getting a holiday, as well as us! Dottie has lots of open garden/field area for the dogs to run around (as well as walkies) and a lovely big lounge with large sofas. When Frank stayed he had his bed but chose to sleep on one of the sofas and gave Dottie and her partner cuddles in the evening. My children and I loved seeing the photos and videos of Frank, that Dotty sent to us, whilst we were away. In fact it was the highlight of my 4 year olds holiday; seeing Frank run around with the other dogs. I would not hesitate to recommend Dottie’s Dog Care services and I’m so happy to have found her for Frank.
Can’t fault Dottie’s daycare services, Dottie is so calm and caring with the dogs, they love her to bits. My nervous cockerpoo started going in January and she gets so excited when she knows she’s going. She’s now mixing well with other dogs and gets a really good day of exercise, would highly recommend x
Amazing daycare centre in Helens lovely home is perfect for my 6 month puppy vizsla x pointer (mango). She has a great time and I get lots of lovely videos and updates of how her day is going! They have a huge enclosed field which the pups play in! Helen is so kind and flexible start and end times! Mango comes back very tired after a lovely day of socialising and cuddles. I’m so lucky to have found her!
Cannot recommend Dotties Doggy Daycare highly enough. From our first meeting it was clear to me my little Gem was in safe hands. This was Gems first time away from me, as a pandemic pup socialising had been difficult, however, after a few visits Gem has grown in confidence with other dogs and simply adores Dottie. I get regular video updates throughout the day to keep me calm too!! All in all a 5* ++++ from me, and of course Gem.
Dottie’s is a wonderful doggy daycare place. She’s very kind, patient, friendly and caring with the dogs and they have so much fun. Reasonably priced and a good amount of outside space for them to play. We also like that there’s a small number of dogs at a time which is great for our slightly nervous dog.
Our dog visits regularly and loves it. He's treated like one of the family and can't wait to see them each time he goes. An extremely friendly family-run service which I can’t recommend highly enough. 5-star service 100% of the time!!!!

Hazy Days Pet care, looked after our two house Rabbits Pepsi and Shirlie. We felt very comfortable, happy and safe. Everything was done like we'd discussed. The rabbits seemed calm. They bonded with Lorna, which was fab! We felt our house was looked after too. Highly recommended. We will definitely be using the same service again soon. 😊

As a fellow dog walker myself. I often see Lorna out on walks with her clients dogs, & if I felt in anyway she was not capable of controlling or having any dogs safe whilst in her care. I would not put one of my own clients dogs in her care while I am on maternity leave. She has a kind nature to her, & every dog she has with her shows how much they adore her. Highly recommended.
Fantastic service, Lorna is qualified and experienced, but above all she is passionate and had the best interest of my pets at heart. Nothing was too much trouble. Great value, trustworthy and reliable. I noted one negative review on Google , this is a million miles away from my experience and as someone who has over 15 years experience teaching Animal Science I can vouch for Lorna's knowledge and competence.
Lorna recently looked after my two cats Talis and Luca and she was brilliant. Very professional and caring. Having not left my cats before with someone I did not know, I was a bit nervous but after meeting her before I went away I felt very confident as it was obvious that she loves animals. Would definitely recommend her and will use her again.
I am keen to express my thanks to Lorna who kindly supported me last week when my normal dog walker was quite unwell and my husband working away and myself full time working, I was in a state of panic for Smartie and his dog walks. Lorna was able to pick up Smartie walks from the day I contacted her. Smartie came back a very happy pup. He really enjoyed his walks and especially when with other dogs of Hazy Days Lorna was professional, came to pick up Smartie when she said she would and just lovely to meet. You could tell that Lorna really cares for the dogs she walked and more importantly Smartie was always bouncing to get out of the door to get to Lorna when she arrived. Overall I cannot state enough how great Lorna was and would highly recommend. Thank you Lorna for your help last week and I wish you all the very best with your dog walking business.
Lorna is gentle, calm, focused on your animals well-being and obviously knowledgeable about animal behaviour and welfare. She walks my big labrador and he adores his walks with her. I trust her with a key to my home and even more valuable my dog. She is flexible with times and days, easy to arrange dates with and Merli comes back happy and tired after a run around with his best friend. Choosing her for dog walking was a great choice.
I visited Torbay and needed my Dalmatian walked as I had a meeting he couldn’t attend with me. I’m a fellow dog walker in another area of the country and I was blown away by Lornas service. She is absolutely amazing, my boy loved her. She’s highly knowledgeable, professional and anyone can clearly see she truly loves dogs. Highly recommend!
Launa has just looked after my cats whilst I was away for a few days……my boys are very timid but Launa was amazing with them they were very happy and very well cared for. She’s so in tune with both the animals needs and their owners anxiety’s. I would highly recommend her services.
Booked our Airedale Terrier in for daycare on Saturday 3rd August from 9 til 6. Received lovely updates of her playing in the fields with the other dogs and she was happy and nicely tired out when we picked her up! Daniela was lovely to speak with and reassuring when we dropped her off. Making a booking was easy and I would definitely use her services again if needed when we are in Devon.
Meg, my Golden Retriever is 15 years young. When I Moved to the Teign Valley 2 years ago I really didn't know what to do about finding someone that I trusted enough to look after my precious girl when I went on holiday.Meg understandably has separation anxiety at her grand old age.When I met Dani, my gut feeling told me that I had met the right person..... and I was absolutely right.I cannot fault the way that Dani cares for Meg. My puppy Leo loves his time with Dani and Duke. It is clear that Dani loves dogs and takes great care of them. Dani is so Caring towards our Cockapoo who has separation anxiety. His tail starts wagging as soon as we arrive and Finnly cannot wait to go and annoy Duke. In the short time he has been in her care he is showing signs of slowly regaining his confidence and we can see he has enjoyed himself. The photos of what the little monkey has been doing are a lovely touch too. He has been going 4 mths now and he is back to his cheeky self and although he still has SA we can now leave him with people he knows. Dani and given him this confidence. Can high recommend Dani and Duke. We know Finnly is well cared for and Dani loves them as if they were her own.
Pip loves staying with Dani & Duke. As soon as she gets out the car she doesn't look back. And that's saying something for a slightly older needy dog! Home from home dog boarding I think helps create a relaxed environment. And playing with Duke all day she has the best time and comes home well exercised. One happy dog, one happy owner. Dukes doggy day care is such a lovely place for my sausage dog to stay. The moment the two dogs met it was besties at first sight. Danni takes exceptional care with plenty of walks in the acres of land and cuddles by the fireplace or in the sun. I get a healthy amount of picture and video updates through the day to keep me updated. My sausage dog can’t wait to arrive and is pooped each day ready for bed.
I have nothing but praise for the service provided by Dani at Duke's Doggy Daycare for our labrador, Eddie. Dani was friendly and showed me around her facilities and discussed any concerns I had before I made the booking. She also introduced Eddie to her delightful dachshund, Duke. They got on very well. During Eddie's stays at Duke's Doggy Daycare Dani sent me photos showing him playing with Duke and other dogs. I have no hesitation in recommending Dani and her business to anyone wishing to leave their beloved pooch in good, safe hands.
Used dani for the 1st time in May to look after our girl whilst we were away, felt really comfortable when messaging dani re our girl. Highly recommend dani she was so good with our old girl sent us lovely Pics of our girl having fun and lots of cuddles, our girl is with her again next week whilst we go on holiday we are so happy we found dani and of course the Duke. 5 stars from us ✨️
Duke’s Doggy Care owned and run by Dani is a wonderful and friendly place for your dog to stay. I have two lively dogs and they love staying at DDC. Dani is great with them and I know that they are well looked after there. They have their little bedroom with all the comfy beds, toys and radio where they sleep and relax. The very special thing about DDC is that Dani treats all the dogs that she’s looking after as if they were her own. They get lots of cuddles and attention. I would 100% recommend Duke’s Doggy Day Care.
I emailed to enquire about an appointment with no response for a week, so I decided to call and was met with a rude shove off attitude and that they were no longer taking on new clients so if I were you I wouldn’t bother trying
Our pup absolutely loves his walks with gem, comes back happy and worn out every time. He's always so excited when she arrives. He's also had a groom before and come back smelling much fresher than the groom he had at pets at home! Very much recommended for all your doggy needs!
**ammended** I used this service for around six weeks whilst I was working shifts. The communication from them was terrible and every week I would get billed but I honestly had no proof that they had even turned up. I would have to text asking if he had behaved etc as I had no proof of the walks. I can provide proof of lack of communication and inconsistency of times of (supposed) walks. They were supposed to come during the day but at one point didn't turn up till after 7pm when I was already home, she apologised saying she couldn't fit him in during the day. The last straw was when they left my back gate open and I had to pay almost £600 to get my dog back from kennels after the warden picked him up. We had no builders working that week plus I have received an abusive message from this woman following review. I told her that I couldn't afford further walking because It was easier than telling her that I don't trust her or want her anywhere near my house again. Avoid this company if possible
