We arrived to a warm welcome and dinner. We were introduced to the extended family of dogs, cat, chickens, pigs, sheep and lambs. Paul and Wowie shared their knowledge and love of their animals with us. We began our sit with confidence. We thoroughly enjoyed learning and interacting with all the animals and learnt a lot - this being our only second sit with livestock. Your house is quaint and so lovely liveable, sitting in beautiful countryside. Winchester is close by, rich in history and friendliness. We enjoyed our stay and are growing in knowledge. Such a joy! Thanks Paul & Wowie

Great experience! Luna is a sweet, cuddly dog and very well behaved! Very comfortable and beautiful home. Location is not too far from the cycle path that gets you into the city centre. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Jo and Tim's place for a long weekend. The house is very comfortable with everything you could possibly want. The outlook to the rear across the field with the cricket pitch beyond gives a lovely rural feel to the place.
The animals are very friendly and easy to look after. The goats are always looking for something to climb on, and the Shetland ponies come up and nuzzle you when you go in the field (very friendly even if all they are looking for is food!). The cats also occasionally popped in to say hello...
The area around Rothley was also open countryside and we visited Bradgate Park for a walk giving extensive views all round across Leicester and Loughborough. Although we did not look after the dogs on this occasion it would be a great place to take them for a good walk.
We can happily recommend this sit to others and would look forward to the opportunity to go back.

So, Pickle is just the sweetest, loveliest boy & we loved hanging out with him. He's only three years old so has a lot of fun and lively energy out of the house but is mostly super chill and cuddly at home (apart from his daily hilarious zoom moment, normally when he came back from a walk). His family crate him when he can't be supervised as he can be a bit chew-y, so we moved our desks down to his domain so we didn't have to do that too much. Martin super bonded with him and they really had the nicest time running all over town together, then Pickle would sleep next to his feet when we were all at home. It's really so nice and we actually missed him a lot after we left.

The house is in a super great location and is a lovely calm space with everything you need close by.
